Love on the Rooftop
THEME AND DETAILS bright + rustic
All the elements of this wedding came togetherin the most unexpected way. A garden weddingon a rooftop that was partially under cover, itfeatured a variety of wooden textures, as wellas steel and glass elements from the venue.The rustic décor was perfectly punctuated bythe dreamy, rich colours of wildflowers, fromthe deep red hues of the bride’s bouquet to theferns and deep rouge of the cake. Adding flairwere the floral table centrepieces that ran downthe middle of the tables. What better way tocreate a garden indoors than to have flowerseverywhere? The bride even wove some intoher hairdo.

CEREMONY
Set against a brick wall backdrop and flanked with pretty fairy lights, the ceremony saw the bride walk down an AstroTurf aisle that was lined with beautiful wildflower arrangements. Guests witnessed the newlyweds exchanging their sweet vows outdoors, as the glasshouse was partially covered, allowing for plenty of sunlight and giving the bride and groom a beautiful day. The natural light only made the entire solemnisation ceremony all the more radiant!
Chia Yan: “Having a garden wedding has been my dream since I was young. However, Malaysia’s weather always has us sweating through our gorgeous gowns and suits. Searching for a suitable venue was not an easy task, until MUO Boutique Hotel officially launched early in the year. The moment we saw the venue, we fell in love with it!”
RECEPTION
Keeping the background neutral but with more texture added, the reception featured a range of decorative floral elements, from the brightly coloured dessert spread to the lush table centrepieces. With a small intimate wedding (there were only 50 guests!), the newlyweds positively glowed as they celebrated their union with beloved family and friends.
