THEME AND DETAILS – Modern + Traditional

Set against the dreamy backdrop of a lush backyard, all the little decorative details came together beautifully in this wedding, completing the look to perfection. The bride and groom’s traditional akad nikah attire was resplendent and complemented the décor.We loved the touches of unwashed wood and feathers, and the abundant foliage that added to the understated glamour of it all.

AKAD NIKAH

Traditionally held in mosques, akad nikah ceremonies are quietly joyous – intimate and cosy, warming the hearts of everyone in the room. For this, no detail was overlooked, and even the ceiling was decorated with flowers, punctuated by geometric lanterns and rustic colours. How amazing was it that the traditional batik shirts brought out the rustic glamour of the ceremony? All eyes were certainly on the bride and groom who looked every bit the part of king and queen for the day.

We wanted a casual wedding with a rustic theme in an outdoor space. Turns out the rustic theme suits a traditional wedding too. We loved it!

CEREMONY

Moving from indoors out into the backyard, the traditional ceremonies continued. The fans and bridal party outfits were pretty and casual yet befitting the theme, while the foliage, feathers and dried flowers really helped to create a romantic look and feel. We cannot imagine a more intimate space for two people to exchange their wedding vows.

RECEPTION

Seamlessly transitioning to a more modern celebration, the reception was, again, filled with minute details and floral elements that brought everything together nicely. The inclusion of fairy lights, sparklers and wedding games added a contemporary touch, as the bride and groom celebrated their union with loved ones by laughing and dancing the night away!
