TELL US ABOUT A FAVOURITE DETAIL:
"Our first dance was to the acoustic cover of 'Kiss the Girl' by Brent Morgan, a song that held special meaning for us. We both share a love for Disney, and that song reminded him of our first date and our first kiss. To celebrate this shared love, we incorporated some hidden Disney elements into our wedding. It was a subtle yet meaningful way to weave our story into the celebration, making our special day even more magical." - B

TELL US WHY YOU PICKED YOUR VENUE:
"Convenience was a big deal for us. The majority of our guests came from out of town so we wanted to find a venue where the ceremony, reception, and hotel were all in the same location. Also, having the option for the venue to have decorations and a decorator for us to utilize helped us finalize our decision. Natalie and Abhi were wonderful to work with; they were friendly, patient and very helpful throughout the whole planning process." - F

WHAT'S YOUR BEST PLANNING ADVICE?:
"My advice to couples planning their wedding, make sure to create a vision board of the elements of your wedding day that you would want to see, and make a budget. After you’ve done that, don’t overthink your ideas and choices because in the end, it will all come together wonderfully. Also, get a good day-of-coordinator if you can’t afford a wedding planner. They’re going to be worth the investment." - T.A.

It was natural (and flirty) from day one--Fabio courted me in Toronto, Pescara (Abruzzo) and then most romantically, in Venice. WHAT MADE YOUR WEDDING UNIQUE:
"A unique thing that we did for our wedding was having Taylor's friends be "Flower Friends". It was important that these amazing women in her life were part of the wedding, but did not want to have a 27 Dresses vibe. So, we created the role of flower friend for them, like a flower girl, but instead of throwing flower petals while walking down the aisle, they gave out jello shots. They were asked to pick any dress they liked within a colour palette and arrived before the ceremony for a big reveal with Taylor and for photos." - T Taylor R., Published September 1, 2024

Tropical Inspired
Atropical wedding in the winters of Niagara-on-the-Lake. It seems impossible. But if this is what the bride wants for her big day - then the right wedding industry people can make it happen!
To start, it is very important to choose a venue with large windows to brighten the whole room. In this case, the best option is Ironwood Cider House, a new and modern venue located in Niagara-on-the-Lake. For the floral arrangements we suggest using bright colors like pink, green, and orange. This is the perfect color combination to create bright and tropical wedding decorations.
Of course you shouldn't rule out the concept of tropical flowers themselves. Local florists will easily find the best variations and arrangements for your decorations. It's not a tropical wedding without orchids, anthurium, ginger, and protea. Monstera leaves will also add the perfect touch.
For cocktail hour we recommend to impress your guests with drinks made of fresh cordial made with tropical fruits poured into glasses decorated with flowers.
Yet there is no cocktail hour without appetizers. A local restaurant Chef can create any tasters that will match your vision. They will do so while acknowledging any preferences of your guests whether it be meat, seafood, and of course something special for the vegetarians. Most importantly the food will match your tropical wedding aesthetic.
What is a wedding without cake? We recommend a minimal design on the outside and an abundance of taste on the inside. A vanilla shortcake with confit made of tropical fruits will leave every guest satisfied.
Contemporary tableware will perfectly complement the tropical theme of the wedding. Pink elegant plates and green sage napkins look very effective and harmonious on the table in combination with tropical floral arrangements
As a good option for wedding favours we recommend creating personalized baskets with tropical fruits. Such a nutritious and relevant gift in the winter will lead many conversations about your wedding.
Always remember if your idea of a perfect wedding sounds impossible, it is no reason to give up. Find the perfect team of professionals and they will make your dream come true.

Inspiring Florals
This is one of the most memorable weddings of 2023 for us at Sugar Bloom Floral. The colours were so vibrant and gorgeous with literally flowers everywhere!
My name is Karen Langlois and I am the owner and lead floral designer at Sugar Bloom Floral. I am so thrilled when a bride comes to me and says "I adore flowers, that is my favourite part of the planning process, and I would love to have flowers everywhere!"
When I can set up a wedding that is over the top with flowers, I am truly in my glory.
This is what it was like for Rebecca and Joseph's wedding in June of 2023. This adorable couple got married at Elsie Perrin Williams Estate in London, Ontario and had their ceremony and reception in the same room so that also meant full room flip in between the ceremony and reception. So between ourselves and the caterers we had a very short time crunch for them to remove chairs, set up tables and linens and for us to change floral arrangements... and A LOT of them! We nailed it!
It was so rewarding in itself to hear all the guests complimenting and watching in amazement of how awe-inspiring the room looked when we were finished! There was not a space left without flowers! It was incredible!
To top it off this enchanting couple hired Justin from The Right Moments Photography to capture these phenomenal images of their day!
A tip from me as an event florist... this is also a fantastic way to save money if you're on a budget. Reusing the flowers and decor from the ceremony at the reception is a perfect way to utilize the flowers for the whole day and get full use out of everything . We offer a transfer service and I would recommend hiring your florist or decorator to do this if there are a lot of details that need to be considered. We have done quite a few weddings where the venue coordinators or friends of the bride and groom can simply move everything and this helps with lowering the cost as well.
Another creative idea is to do bud vases on your tables (bud vases are a big trend with weddings for this year). You can then give each couple a bud vase to take home as a favour allowing you to get two uses out of your centrepieces!
Your wedding experts may have many other ways to help you with valuable ways to save money and have a beautiful wedding that is more affordable!

Black Tie Bliss
Aluxe black tie wedding palette embraces opulence and sophistication with a refined colour scheme. Picture a setting bathed in deep black, white, and rich metallics like gold. The venue features sleek black linens contrasted with crisp white tableware, while gold accents highlight luxurious touches in the décor. Elegant floral arrangements in classic white, with hints of greenery and shimmering metallics, add a timeless charm. Black tie attire complements the theme perfectly, with guests in tailored tuxedos and glamorous gowns. This palette creates an atmosphere of grandeur and elegance, making every detail of the celebration exquisitely memorable.

Using a rich palette of jewel tones, including purples, blacks, and burgundies we created a stunning scene for Riley and Easton. Along with lush purple/burgundy florals and black candles, the table top features an array of textures that include stunning stationery and beautiful tableware. While black candles and vases add a moody feel to the theme, the three-tier cake and marquee letters keeps things modern.

when getting there matters most
luxury chauffeured limo service
LOOK, FEEL & BE CELEBRATED! because you deserve to...
Limousine ideas for your nontraditional wedding experience
When planning the perfect wedding, every detail matters. From the flowers to the venue, couples strive to create an unforgettable experience. One often overlooked yet crucial element is transportation. Hiring a luxury chauffeured limo service adds a touch of sophistication, convenience, and elegance to the big day. Brentwood Livery, has been providing luxury chauffeured wedding limo services to Southwestern Ontario for 34 years!
PHOTO, this page: Simply Wedding Photography
Nothing is more important than how you will feel on your day, but how you feel is determined by the day of experience. There are 3 main reasons every couple should consider chauffeured service on their wedding day:
FIRST IMPRESSIONS MATTER
Arriving in a luxury limo makes a grand statement. It sets the tone for the entire event, creating a sense of glamour and excitement.
STRESS-FREE TRANSPORTATION
With a professional chauffeur at the helm, couples can relax and enjoy the ride without worrying about traffic, parking, or directions.
ARRIVE ON-TIME WITH PEACE OF MIND
Professional limo services handling transportation removes one more worry from the couple’s checklist. Brentwood Livery prides themselves on punctuality, ensuring that the couple and their party arrive at the venue on time, allowing the couple to focus on enjoying their special day.
Not sure what you’d do with a limo on your wedding day, particularly if you’re at one venue for both the ceremony and reception? Here are 8 ways to use a Limo on the day-of to maximize your investment:
Bridal salon transport
Use the limousine to transport the bride and her bridesmaids to and from the salon. It's a great way to start the day together in style and luxury. Sipping on Mimosas while at the salon? No problem when you have chauffeured service making sure you’re safe and on time.
Groom’s breakfast outing
Arrange for the groom and his groomsmen to have breakfast together and arrive at the venue in the limousine. It can be a fun start to their day and a great photo opportunity.
First look or pre-ceremony photoshoot
Coordinate a pre-ceremony photoshoot with the wedding party using the limousine as a stunning backdrop. It allows everyone to travel together and enjoy some fun moments before the ceremony.
Pre-wedding excursion
Plan a short scenic tour or visit a favourite location for the wedding party before heading to the ceremony. This can create beautiful memories and offer some time to relax and enjoy each other's company.
Elaborate ceremony entrance
Incorporate the limousine into your grand entrance. This works really well for outdoor weddings when the limo keeps you hidden until the big reveal. Picture the red carpet rolled out by your white-gloved chauffeur and exiting the limo to walk the aisle. The limo adds a touch of glamour to the event.
Late -night getaway
Use the limousine for a grand exit after the reception. Even if you don’t use the limo for the entire day, a stylish and memorable send-off can be an affordable option to mix things up.
Guest shuttle service
Consider using a limousine to shuttle special guests, like family members or those in need of transportation, between venues. This ensures everyone can celebrate without worrying about logistics.
Pre -wedding co -ed party event
Traditionally the maid of honour and best man have been responsible for the bachelor and bachelorette party before the wedding day. Consider using a limo or limobus for a prewedding co-ed party event instead. Pool your wedding party money together and plan an all day Wine, Spirits and Beer Tour. This way you can celebrate the couple together and not tap into the wedding day budget.
Why stress over details. Bundling several of these ideas will add to the feelings you create on your wedding day. Planning ahead so you aren’t stressing about people drinking and driving or arriving on-time is a no brainer. Expect to pay $50-100/person for luxury chauffeured service. This ensures your wedding party's safety, comfort, and everyone's unforgettable experience. You deserve to be chauffeured everywhere on your wedding day, not lifting a finger. Visit www.weddings.limo and let Brentwood Livery help you Look, Feel & Be Celebrated!

Keep your rings safe, live your life
Wearing Your Ring All The Time? Did you know that there are many times throughout the day that we should not be wearing our rings? The wear and tear that builds up over the years from our daily activities can result in breakage, deformity, discolouration, and sometimes even loss of these significant pieces.
Robin Fox Photography
We wear our rings daily because they are a symbol of a time or experience in our lives. Whether they are a gift, a family heirloom, an engagement ring, a travel memory or just that piece of jewelry we loved while browsing a shop, looking down at our rings spark memories and feelings of happiness.
The durability of our rings will depend on the type of metal or combination of metals that it is made from. Each type of metal has its advantages and disadvantages. The most common metal in ring making is gold because it is very malleable and easy to work with. Your rings may also be made of platinum, which is the most expensive and luxurious; palladium, which is the rarest; titanium, which is durable and hypoallergenic; or silver, which is often the most affordable.
Understanding what our rings are made from is important, however, our rings are still vulnerable to damage from scratches, dings, abrupt impacts, bumps, chips, and snags. It is important that we know which activities cause the highest risk to our rings and when we should be taking them off and storing them safely in The Ring Keeper.
Remove your ring while exercising & playing sports
It is important to stay active. Depending on the intensity of our workout or sporting endevour, our salty sweat and the equipment we use can cause wear and tear on our rings. Precious stones can be knocked out of their settings or the band itself can be banged up which could change the shape of our rings over time.
No rings while swimming
Whether we are at the beach, poolside, or in a thermal bath, the saltwater and chemicals can be harsh on our rings. Our rings can also easily slip off our hands without us even knowing because our fingers shrink in colder water.
Apply products without your ring on
All of the lotions and products we apply to our bodies can get stuck in the crevices and prongs of rings making them hard to clean. This build up allows dirt and other particles to collect, and this might even cause the gemstones to loosen and fall out.
Cleaning can cause wear & tear
Harsh chemicals and bleach in our cleaning products can damage the metal bands and the gemstones in our rings. These substances can cause rings to dull, weaken, or crack as they break down the metals and finishes. Our rings are also susceptible to bumps, snags, and scratches as we perform different cleaning activities.
Remove your ring for gardening
Dirt, sand, rocks, clay pots, and common gardening and yard work tools can cause serious abrasions to your rings. Small particles can get stuck between the prongs or in the crevices causing further damage.
Knowing this, we might be asking ourselves, why do we leave our rings on when we know we should be taking them off? It's because we don’t feel like we have a safe place to stash them. In the past, I used to toss my ring into the bottom of my purse, in my wallet, or a random pocket, which often resulted in worry or panic as I searched the inner crevices of my handbags and clothing.
For piece of mind, when not wearing your rings you'll want to have a place to store them. The velvet box your ring came in, a dish beside your bed, or even a Ring Keeper. Whether around the house or on the go, I always know where my ring is securely stashed.

Using enduring language and culture to share your promises
Incorporating your language and culture into your wedding ceremony is crucial for creating a deeply personal and meaningful experience. It serves as a celebration of your heritage, adds richness to the event, and fosters a sense of identity and continuity.
Language plays a significant role in expressing the depth of emotions and intentions during a wedding. Using your native language or a language that holds special meaning can make vows, speeches, and rituals more authentic and heartfelt. When couples speak in their mother tongue, it allows them to convey their promises and emotions with greater intimacy and sincerity. This personal touch enhances the ceremony’s significance, making it more memorable for the couple and their guests.
Culture, too, adds profound meaning to a wedding ceremony. Every culture has unique traditions, symbols, and practices that reflect its values and beliefs. Incorporating these elements of your culture into your wedding honours your heritage and enriches the ceremony with a sense of history and tradition. Whether it’s through traditional attire, music, dance, or specific rituals, these cultural practices connect the ceremony to your roots and create a celebration that is distinctly yours.
Furthermore, integrating cultural traditions into your wedding helps bridge generational gaps and fosters inclusivity among your guests. It provides an opportunity for family and friends to engage with and appreciate your heritage, creating a shared experience that highlights the beauty of diversity. For guests who may be unfamiliar with your cultural background, these
traditions offer a window into your world and help them understand the significance of your customs.
In addition, incorporating language and culture into your wedding is a way to preserve and pass down traditions to future generations. Integrating these elements into your ceremony establishes a foundation for your desire to honor and maintain your cultural practices. This act of preservation ensures that your heritage remains vibrant and relevant for your children and beyond, keeping the traditions alive and cherished.
The team of officiants at Enduring Promises will help you craft a wedding ceremony that includes your language and culture resulting in a deeply personalized and meaningful celebration. Our officiants speak many languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Romanian. We encourage all of our couples to express their unique identity, honour their heritage, and connect with their loved ones in a profound way. By weaving these elements into your wedding, we can help you create an event that is not only a reflection of your love story but also a celebration of the rich cultural tapestry that shapes your life.

Non-sexy things that will make your wedding unmistakably easier
I guarantee that you’ve thought about the colour of your bridesmaids’ dresses and the flowers in your bouquet. You’ve likely tasted the food and thought about what kind of wine you want to stock at the bar. However, there are likely some things that haven’t crossed your mind - because let’s be honest... the tips in this article AREN’T sexy. As wedding planners, we encourage our couples to think about ALL the details. But it really comes down to us on the wedding day to solve the problems. That’s our job and we do it with pleasure. If you don’t have the luxury of a planner, or even if you do, read on for some things to consider. With a little bit of pre-planning you can ensure that your wedding day is easier and more fun for both you and your guests.
Consider the temperature and your attire
If you’re getting married in July and wearing a heavy gown, you’re going to be hot. Likewise, if you’re taking photos outside in February, you’re going to be cold. A little pre-planning goes a long way here. If you’re getting married in a hot month, provide each of your bridesmaids with atomizers of mineral water for a quick cooling spritz. Pack a small battery-operated fan that you can aim at your face between photos. Chat with your photographer to find shady spots to take those photos. If you’re going to be outside in the cold, consider a pair of leggings under your dress (nobody will see them!) and ensure that you have a warm coat or wrap that’s photo-worthy.
Think about your family photos
On the topic of photos, generally, extended family photos happen after the ceremony, when everyone is already there and ‘easy’ to wrangle. Your photographer will likely ask you for a list of family groupings well in advance. When you create that list,
try to start with the biggest group and work down to the smallest, so that as soon as you’re done with Uncle Bob and the cousins, they can hit the bar. One exception to that rule is to start with anyone who has mobility issues (maybe grandma would like to go sit down sooner rather than later) or anyone very young (those littles have limited attention spans!). Create your list using people’s proper names, not ‘Uncles’ or ‘Cousins’ so that the photographer can yell out names as they’re assembling the next group.
Hydrate!
Unless you have a planner who is going to literally push a bottle of water into your hand at every available moment, plan to bring water for yourself and your wedding party (and no, the 95% of your beer that’s water doesn’t count!). Adequate hydration can prevent headaches, make you feel less fatigued, and counteract a potential post-wedding hangover. Pack a cooler with lots of water, and ensure that you and your party take every opportunity to drink as much water as you can. Having someone bring you

food during cocktail hour isn’t a bad idea either.
Identify good ‘break’ times
Excuse me for a second while I sound like your mom and tell you to go to the bathroom (especially since you listened to my previous point, and you’re well hydrated!). I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous, but here’s the thing: EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. we try to start a speech at a reception, there are two groomsmen, one bridesmaid, and one mom in the bathroom. It really creates quite a delay when trying to keep your reception events running on time. Before your big day, think through the schedule and be mindful of when the appropriate times to visit the loo would be. Communicate that with your head table and parents as well, so that they can also be in the room when it’s time to start a speech. I know that when you’ve gotta go, you’ve gotta go, but if it’s possible to plan this out a bit, it’ll help your entire event flow more smoothly, avoiding awkward breaks for guests.
Allow time for dress bustling
If you have a dress that has a long train, you’ll likely have a bustle put in. Depending on the style of dress and the kind of bustle, this could take anywhere from two to twenty minutes. First, make sure that you take someone with you to your final fitting who can be shown how to bustle the dress, and who will help on your day (mom, MOH….). Second, allow some time for this to happen. I’d generally recommend bustling your dress prior to entering the reception, and definitely before the first dance.
Practice your dance in a dress
While we’re on the topic of your dress, I’d definitely recommend practicing your first dance (especially if it’s choreographed) in a dress of some kind, and in your actual wedding shoes. For obvious reasons, you likely can’t wear your actual dress, but try to recreate it as best you can. If your dress is big and bulky, belt a comforter around your waist and practice in that. If it’s sleek and A-line, perhaps you have a long skirt you could use for a test. If you can practice in a simulated dress beforehand, you’ll avoid the surprises of restricted movement that you might encounter on the dance floor.
Think about your seating arrangement
Creating a seating chart isn’t fun. But it is unavoidable. Letting guests sit where they want is inviting chaos. When you’re placing guests, be as considerate as you can about where in the room they’re placed. Try to ensure that elderly guests aren’t near the DJ’s speakers, that your MC is near the podium, and that your
vendors - yes, you need to seat your vendors -have a clear line of sight to the head table. Your photographers will need to see you to capture the kisses that result from your kissing game, and your planners need to be able to make eye contact if you need anything. Your DJ is normally seated at their booth.
Give your bouquets some love
Ask your florist whether the bouquets are delivered in vases. If they aren’t, you’ll likely want to purchase some to be set up at the venue, into which your bridesmaids can put their bouquets after the ceremony. It’s traditional for the maids to take their bouquets with them at the end of the night, and keeping them in water as much as possible will ensure that they stay fresher (and can be enjoyed) for longer. If your florist provides vases, task one of your bridesmaids with remembering to actually bring them when you leave your getting ready location for the ceremony. Especially if you’re preserving your bouquet, you’ll want to keep it as hydrated as possible. Many floral preservation companies suggest that you trim the stems and put it in water as soon as you can after the ceremony.
Cleanup at the end of the night
Well before your wedding day arrives, you’ll likely find that you start amassing stuff (usually in large quantities!). When you’re prepping your decor, stationery, and other items to take to the venue, pack them in totes that are CLEARLY labeled (bonus points if you take a photo of the way you’d like the contents set up) and sorted by area. One tote should contain everything for your welcome table (guestbook, cardbox, etc.), one should have everything for your guest tables (placecards organized by table and in order of who sits beside whom), one should have all the photos for your family photo display, etc. Label the boxes that things came in, and stash the empty boxes under the tables (if there’s table linen to hide them!) for easy cleanup at the end of the night. It likely won’t be YOU cleaning up, so try to make it as easy as possible for whoever IS cleaning up to put things back in their proper place.
I know that these nitty-gritty items are likely not what you’ve been fantasizing about since you were little and imagining your dream day. You deserve an incredible day, and you should be able to relax and enjoy the process, rather than having to solve problems and put out fires all day. Plan to be proactive and your day will be full of positive memories, not stress!

We're well paired, "Will you be my bridesmaid?"
WINE TASTING EVENT: This luxurious event, designed as a heartfelt thank-you for their friendship and support, marked the perfect beginning to Alex's wedding season. With Paired Wine Tastings at the helm, the night was a beautiful blend of elegance, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Alex's favorite women gathered for what they believed would be a casual evening of drinks, only to find themselves part of the most memorable girls' night ever. Alex had lovingly crafted ten unique bouquets, each wrapped in personalized newspapers adorned with faux headlines, photos, and cherished memories featuring each bridesmaid-to-be.
As the guests arrived, Alex greeted them with a heartfelt invitation to join her bridal party, capturing each emotional "yes" with the help of photographer, Joe Arshat.
The celebration began with a Champagne toast, perfectly set up by Randi from Paired Wine Tastings. As the bubbly flowed,
Randi put the final touches on the evening's main event: an exclusive wine tasting. The guests were treated to a meticulously curated six-wine tasting, each paired with delectable bites, all guided by their private sommelier, Randi.
As they savored the wines, the conversation naturally turned to wedding plans—discussing bachelorette parties, dress colours, bridal showers, and even who would get to walk with the tallest groomsman. Randi ensured every detail, from the wine selections to the food pairings, was flawlessly executed, allowing Alex to relax and enjoy the evening with her bridesmaids.

The timeless art of wedding keepsakes and floral preservation
Weddings take months to plan but pass in a flash. Wedding keepsake and floral preservation offers a meaningful way to capture the emotions, beauty, and memories of your special day. For Amar, preserving flowers and keepsakes goes beyond capturing beauty - it's about preserving stories, journeys, and cherished moments.
Why keepsake and floral preservation is important
SENTIMENTAL VALUE: Preserved flowers and keepsakes serve as lasting, tangible reminders of your vows, union, and those who celebrated with you, offering daily comfort and a connection to your love story.
ARTISTIC EXPRESSION: Each keepsake is a work of art, transforming fleeting flowers into lasting mementos, from love letters turned into keychains to photos of loved ones embedded in charms.
HEIRLOOM QUALITY: Properly preserved, these keepsakes become cherished heirlooms, honouring your memories and the special moments that shape your life, passed down through generations.
Booking your floral preservation artist
BOOK EARLY: Secure your spot by booking your artist alongside other vendors to ensure your flowers are preserved in top condition. Last-minute bookings risk missing out on your preferred artist.
RESEARCH: Review portfolios and testimonials to find an artist whose style aligns with your vision. Reliability is key when entrusting them with meaningful items.
FIND YOUR STYLE: Choose an artist whose preservation style—whether classical, romantic, vintage, or modern— matches your taste for a keepsake you'll treasure daily.
UNDERSTAND TECHNIQUES: Different flowers require different preservation methods. Discuss with your artist which
flowers will yield the best results and expect natural colour changes in preserved flowers.
LAST-MINUTE ARRANGEMENTS: If you discover this service late, some artists may accommodate last-minute dropoffs, but plan ahead to ensure your flowers are preserved within 1-3 days for the best results.
Best practices for preserving wedding keepsakes
TIMING IS KEY: Preserve flowers within 1-3 days of your event for best results. Arrange for quick drop-off or shipping. If you're late, some artists can work with wilting or dried flowers. If delayed, enjoy blooms for a few days then hang them upside down in a cool, dry place.
HANDLE WITH CARE: Avoid bruising or wilting. If you plan a bouquet toss, have a separate bouquet made. Keep the flowers you wish to preserve in water and a cool place until delivery.
CONSULT YOUR ARTIST: Discuss the preservation process with your artist for specific preparation and delivery instructions. Some accept shipping, while others prefer in-person drop-offs. Clear communication is essential.
Preserving your wedding flowers and keepsakes creates a lasting tribute to your special day, allowing you to cherish and share these memories for years to come. If you are sentimental and want to hold onto a part of your wedding day, consider wedding keepsake and floral preservation.

Mastering your makeup routine
The do’s and dont’s of wedding makeup: Ensuring a flawless look on your special day. Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and looking your best is essential. Here are some essential DO’s and DONT’s for the day you say I DO!
The Do’s!
Prep your skin!
Make sure your skin is well-prepped and hydrated. After you have cleansed, toned, and moisturized your face, apply a primer suited to your skin type to create a smooth base. This step ensures that your makeup lasts longer and looks more even.
Use a makeup blender
A makeup blender, such as the new Vegan Beauty Blender, is the game-changer for achieving a seamless airbrushed finish. For foundation, apply a small amount to the back of your hand or metal palette then press the sponge into the product. Use the round end for larger areas of your face, and the pointed tip for precision around the smaller areas like eyes and nose. May we suggest the Vegan Beauty Blender By Lindsay Scarfone Makeup
Opt for long-wearing products
Choose long-lasting, waterproof products to ensure your makeup stays for an all night look. This is especially important for foundation.
Do a makeup trial
Schedule a trial run with your makeup artist well before the wedding day. This allows you to test different looks and ensure you’re happy with the result, or anything you wish to change. Bring pictures of makeup styles you like to help convey your dream look.
The Dont’s!:
Don’t experiment on the wedding day
Avoid trying new makeup products or techniques on your wedding day, or even the week leading up to your day. Stick with what you know and what works for your skin type and tone to avoid any unexpected reactions or mishaps.
Don’t overdo it
Less is often more. Heavy makeup can look cakey and unnatural, especially in photos. Aim for a look that enhances your natural beauty rather than masking it.
Don’t skip the setting spray
A setting spray is crucial for locking in your makeup and ensuring it lasts all day. It also helps to reduce shine and keeps your makeup looking fresh. We love Urban Decay All Nighter Vitamin C Hydrating Setting Spray.
Don’t forget about your neck
Make sure your foundation and powder blend seamlessly from your face to your neck. This ensures a consistent and natural look, avoiding any harsh lines.
BONUS: Did you know that the beauty blender isn’t just for makeup? You can also use it to apply your skincare products. The sponge can help evenly distribute serums, moisturizers, and even sunscreen, ensuring that your skin gets the full benefit of each product. Some may choose to apply a tinted SPF with their beauty blender as this will give the most ‘Au Natural’ look, a great look for our summer weddings all while protecting your skin!
By following these Do’s and Dont’s you’ll ensure your wedding makeup is flawless and enhances your natural beauty, making you look and feel radiant on your special day. Happy planning!

So many choices. Expert tips on picking THE dress.
Choosing a wedding dress that reflects your true self is such a wonderful way to make your special day even more memorable. Here are five tips to help you find a dress that’s authentically you:
Reflect on your style
Think about what makes you feel most confident and comfortable. Are you drawn to classic elegance, bohemian vibes, or modern minimalism? Consider your everyday wardrobe and the styles that make you feel like the best version of yourself. Your wedding dress should be an extension of your personal style, so don’t feel pressured to follow trends that don’t resonate with you.
Consider your venue and theme
The location and theme of your wedding can greatly influence your dress choice. A beach wedding might call for a light, flowy dress, while a formal ballroom might suit a more structured gown. Make sure your dress complements the setting and the overall atmosphere you want to create.
Listen to your gut
When you try on dresses, trust your instincts. If a particular dress makes you feel excited, happy, and like yourself, that’s a strong indicator that it’s the right one. Don’t be swayed by others’ opinions if they don’t align with your personal feelings
about the dress.
Incorporate personal details
Look for ways to incorporate personal touches into your dress. This could be a family heirloom, a custom embroidery, or a specific colour or fabric that has special meaning to you. These small details can make your dress uniquely yours and add sentimental value to your look.
Be comfortable
You’ll be wearing this dress for hours, so comfort is key. Choose a dress that allows you to move, sit, and dance freely. If you’re not comfortable, it’ll show in your photos and may impact how much you enjoy your day. Make sure you feel at ease and confident in whatever dress you choose.
By keeping these tips in mind, you'll find a wedding dress that truly represents who you are and helps you shine on your special day.

Signage - The jewellery of events
Much like the jewellery and accessories you wear to enhance your outfits, signage enhances the visual appeal of an event. Well-designed signs can transform a plain venue into an alluring, inviting, and vibrant space. They set the tone, provide information, allow you to express creativity, offer a sense of balance, and add character to your event. While simple signs can be functional, beautifully crafted signs can be statement pieces that make your event more attractive and comfortable.
Setting the tone
Signage, like jewellery, has the ability to influence your emotions and mood for the day. Whether it’s your favourite pair of cufflinks, a gorgeous ring, a neon sign, or gold acrylic table numbers, each piece has the potential to set the mood and ambiance of your event.
Imagine walking into your reception where a beautifully designed welcome sign greets you, setting the stage for the elegance or rustic charm that awaits. This immediate visual cue can elevate the atmosphere and make guests feel like they are part of something special.
Guides and directs
In the same way that you would draw attention to your neckline with a necklace or look at your watch for the time, signage serves the same dual purpose as jewellery by accentuating your event’s appearance while being functional. It performs useful tasks such as directing guests, providing information, and enhances the visual appeal of your venue. Signage improves the flow and overall experience of your event by drawing your guests’ attention and guiding them through the space.
Express your personality
Jewellery is often chosen to reflect personal tastes and can be customized. Similarly, signage can be personalized to suit your event’s theme. Customized signs can make your event feel unique and purposeful. From a fun selfie mirror sign to a seating chart featuring photos of a couple, personalized signage can tell a unique story and make your guests feel more connected.
Balancing your style
Just as jewellery can pull an outfit together, signs can create cohesion throughout your event. Consistencies in your signage in terms of design, colour scheme, and messaging tie together
the different aspects of your event, making it unified and wellorganized. A great way to start this is by knowing the style of your event. Are you leaning towards a more luxurious, classic, or rustic style? By answering that question, you will be able to determine what style of signage will suit your event. A cohesive look can be achieved by using the same fonts, colours, and materials throughout your signage, from favour signs to the menu cards. This attention to detail ensures that every element of your event is in harmony.
Creates texture and dimension
Jewellery made from different materials can add texture and dimension to your look. With signage, you can create the same type of dimension to your space. Layering your gold foiled menu cards and gold acrylic place cards on your glass charger plate with a matte satin napkin. Creating an inviting scene by having your silver mirrored welcome sign paired with candles and greenery facing your guests as they walk in so that they see a picturesque scene with them in it. In both examples, layering materials and paying attention to the finishes adds balance and composition to your event, and also adds depth and interest to your event décor.
Just as jewellery is an important component to a wedding dress or suit, event signage can be a critical element to any successful event. With thoughtful and well-executed signs from Signtique Designs, you can weave a captivating tale, one that expresses your care to your significant other, your guests, and to your event. While you can certainly have a good event without signage, adding that extra level of polish and detail can transform a good event to a memorable one; leaving a lasting impression, much like the perfect piece of jewellery that completes an outfit.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY
"The wedding was picture-perfect but a bit unconventional. We wanted a micro-wedding with 16 of our closest family members in our favorite place for 4 days.
We rented a beautiful oceanfront villa that featured a private chef, staff on site, an infinity pool, and some rooms with ocean-view Jacuzzi tubs. The villa also had a koi fish pond, an elevator, a rooftop terrace, a water wall, dolphins in the ocean, a game room, and a movie theater.
Overall, having a micro-wedding allowed us to create a truly personalized and intimate experience that we and our families will cherish forever. It was the perfect way to start our married life together." - Ashley K.

Destination Wedding Budget
Determining your budget for a destination wedding is a crucial step in the planning process, as it sets the foundation for all your wedding-related expenses and helps ensure that you stay within your financial means while creating the wedding of your dreams. From travel and accommodations to venue rentals, catering, and décor, there are various factors to consider when calculating your destination wedding budget. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you determine your budget for your destination wedding:
Define your priorities & must-haves
Start by defining your priorities and must-haves for your destination wedding. Identify the elements that are most important to you and your partner, whether it's the location, venue, guest list size, entertainment, or photography. Allocate a larger portion of your budget to these key priorities while being flexible with less essential elements to ensure that you stay within your overall budget.
Research destination wedding costs
Research the average costs of destination weddings in your desired location(s) to get an idea of what to expect in terms of expenses. Consider factors such as venue rental fees, catering and bar services, transportation, accommodations, décor, entertainment, photography, and other miscellaneous costs associated with hosting a wedding in your chosen destination.
Estimate travel & accommodation expenses
Factor in travel and accommodation expenses for you, your partner, and your guests when determining your destination wedding budget. Consider the cost of flights, hotel accommodations, transportation to and from the airport, and any additional travel-related expenses such as travel insurance, visas, and airport transfers. Keep in mind that you may be responsible for covering some or all of these expenses for your guests, depending on your budget and preferences.
Account for currency exchange rates & taxes
Be mindful of currency exchange rates and taxes that may affect your destination wedding budget, especially if you're getting married in a foreign country. Factor in any additional fees, taxes, or currency conversion charges associated with payments made in a different currency to ensure that you accurately estimate your overall wedding expenses and avoid unexpected costs.
Consider all-inclusive packages &wedding packages
Explore all-inclusive packages and wedding packages offered by resorts, hotels, and venues in your chosen destination. These packages often include a variety of services and amenities such as venue rental, catering, bar services, décor, entertainment, photography, and accommodations for you and your guests, making it easier to budget for your destination wedding while simplifying the planning process.
Create a detailed budget spreadsheet
Create a detailed budget spreadsheet that outlines all your wedding-related expenses, including estimated costs, actual expenses, and any deposits or payments made. Break down your budget into categories such as venue, catering, accommodations, transportation, décor, entertainment, photography, attire, and miscellaneous expenses to track your spending and ensure that you stay on track with your budget.
Set aside contingency funds
Set aside contingency funds in your destination wedding budget to account for unexpected expenses, last-minute changes, or emergencies that may arise during the planning process. Aim to allocate around 1020% of your total budget for contingency funds to ensure that you have a financial cushion to cover any unforeseen costs without compromising your wedding vision or experience.
Review & adjust your budget regularly
Review and adjust your destination wedding budget regularly throughout the planning process to ensure that you stay on track with your spending and make any necessary adjustments as needed. Be flexible and open to reevaluating your priorities, making compromises, and finding creative solutions to stay within your budget while still creating the wedding of your dreams.
Determining your budget for your destination wedding involves defining your priorities and must-haves, researching destination wedding costs, estimating travel and accommodation expenses, accounting for currency exchange rates and taxes, considering all-inclusive packages and wedding packages, creating a detailed budget spreadsheet, setting aside contingency funds, and reviewing and adjusting your budget regularly. By carefully planning and budgeting for your destination wedding, you can ensure that you stay within your financial means while creating a magical and unforgettable wedding experience that reflects your love, style, and vision for your special day.
