As the global population is increasing rapidly, the demand for more schools is exceptionally urgent. On this occasion, a high-rise vertical school, which can accommodate a large number of students within a limited site, will be a favourable choice. In conclusion, based on these cultural conditions and environmental factors, a vertical school is proposed to help relieve the urgent needs of students. The scheme of the vertical school is based on a digital design strategy with a consideration of the site condition, including climate elements, zoning, circulations, etc. The attention of the design was paid to maximise the functions and uses of each kind of school space guided by computational iterations. In addition, a modular composition is introduced into the design process so that all the functional spaces are flexible within the building as well as the facade system.
