Windward Working Wonders Together
Our Vision A world where every child with a language-based learning disability is empowered to achieve unlimited success
We are all doing things differently this year. Never before has our community faced such unique, multifaceted challenges as those presented to us this past year. Our Windward community rose and continues to rise to the challenge. Windward remains dedicated to our students, families, faculty, and staff, and now more than ever, we depend on your generosity. We ask every Windward community member to make The Windward School a philanthropic priority. In doing so, we demonstrate our commitment to Windward students’ continued success.
Difference is Power

Guide to Giving
If you only make one gift to the School, the Windward Fund is the most important.
Windward Fund Each year, the Windward community demonstrates a strong giving tradition by contributing to the Windward Fund. The fund runs from July 1 to June 30 each year and provides the critical, unrestricted dollars necessary to provide a Windward education. All community members– including parents and guardians, grandparents, alumni and their parents, trustees, and faculty and staff– are asked to participate.

Additional Fundraising Efforts SPRING BENEFIT Every other spring, the School hosts a benefit which supports tuition assistance, as well as teacher salaries and benefits. Not only is the night a festive celebration of the School’s work, but it is an opportunity to hear from Windward alumni who share their stories about life after Windward. Bidding on auction items and raising your paddle enables Windward to educate more students and bolster compensation for the incredible faculty.

WINDWARD CLASSIC The Windward Classic is a golf and tennis outing held annually each spring. The Classic includes lunch, dinner, prizes for participants, and an auction. This is a great way for parents and guardians from all campuses to socialize and to invite their friends and colleagues to learn more about Windward. These donations are restricted for for faculty professional development, including providing IMSLEC certification.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS Capital campaigns fund specific initiatives such as building projects and endowments. Families with the interest and capacity to make multiÂyear commitments are asked to support these efforts above and beyond their giving to the Windward Fund. Continuing to support the Windward Fund ensures that the School can continue to provide its exceptional program.

Windward Fund Committee The Windward Fund Committee is a group of parents and guardians that works with the Development staff to help meet Windward’s fundraising goals. Committee members connect with fellow Windward community members, sharing their common experiences as Windward parents, educating them about philanthropy, and asking them to join in supporting the Windward Fund. The committee helps other parents and community members understand the needs of the Windward School in order to secure consistent financial support on an annual basis.
