July 15-17 & 23-24, 2021 At The Wooden Floor Main Street Location in Santa Ana
PROGRAM
PLEASE, NO PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOTAPING DURING THE PERFORMANCE.
How to Experience Passage/Home by Stephan Koplowitz Passage/Home is a production designed as a selected walking tour through The Wooden Floor’s flagship location here on Main Street. Your journey begins in the parking lot behind the building, and your group sticker places you in one of three different tour groups. Each group will experience the entire production at a designated time, led by guides from The Wooden Floor. Your tour will consist of visiting ten locations made up of performances and media installations. We ask that once you are with your tour group, you stay with the group for the performance duration. The guides will be available to answer questions. As the production unfolds, they will ensure that you are, at all times, precisely in the best possible place to view each individual performance and installation. Enjoy your journey! A full-length commemorative program will be provided at the end of your walking tour of Passage/Home.

About the Performance Passage/Home draws on The Wooden Floor’s inventive energy and transforms the organization’s flagship location into a multiplatform stage and exhibition space for ten separate performances which encompass dances, multi-media, and visual installations. Each vignette touches on its own subject matter, drawing from The Wooden Floor’s mission – past, present, and future. Passage/ Home is about creative possibilities, exploring the unknown together, and welcoming audiences into our home away from home.
About The Wooden Floor Founded in 1983, The Wooden Floor is one of the foremost creative youth development nonprofit organizations in the country. We transform the lives of young people in low-income communities through the power of dance and access to higher education. In Orange County and through national licensed partners, we use a long-term approach grounded in exploratory dance education to foster the confidence and gifts within each child to innovate, communicate, and collaborate – skills necessary for success in school and in life. 100 percent of students who graduate from The Wooden Floor immediately enroll in higher education. Our students become change agents and beacons of hope within their own families, their neighborhoods, our community, and our world.
