THE PORT of Bandon and Neptune’s Daughters present a free talk on Friday, June 29, on Bats in Oregon, presented by Steve Langenstein, Bureau of Land Management wildlife biologist. The talk will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the port’s boardwalk picnic shelter. Everyone is welcome. Langenstein will discuss and debunk the mysteries, myths and legends surrounding bats. Find out the many benefits humans enjoy from sharing their communities with bat colonies from pollination to natural pest control. Langenstein’s entertaining presentation is for all ages.
