BANDON CROSSINGS is offering a Summer Youth Program camp for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15. The camp began Tuesday, June 19 and runs every Tuesday through Aug. 7 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Cost is $15 per child and includes three, five and nine hole divisions, weekly instruction with club professionals, on-golf-course playing time, weekly awards and skill challenges. There also will be an invitation to play in a season-ending junior Club Championship scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7. The season will end with a barbecue lunch and Championship trophies and awards. Bandon, Oregon THE COOS Bay annual Fourth of July Family Fun Day in the park will be held on Wednesday, July 4, at Mingus Park. The fun will begin at 9 a.m. with a Walk with the Mayor, at 10 a.m. there will be a Mayor’s Firecracker Run, and at 11 a.m. a flag ceremony will be held by the Boy Scouts. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. there will be various food booths and other fun activities for the family such as face painting, furry friends, Coos Bay Police Department’s K-9 demo, a library book give away, the Elks Club drug awareness program, Coos Bay Fire Department/Oregon Fish & Wildlife fishing pond, entertainment on the stage and more. There will also be free swimming at the Mingus Park swimming pool from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join the fun at Mingus Park.
