Bandon, Oregon Saturday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. All kinds of beer will be offered, including root beer, ginger beer, near beer, beer and ale, along with grilled brats, hot dogs, sides and dessert. This is a family affair, and parents are invited to bring their children. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for kids 13 and younger. A ticket entitles the holder to food and one drink, with additional beers for a small fee. Music will be provided by Forrest Munger, Cynthia Leaf and Jeremy. “We hope that everybody will sing their hearts out,” said the Rev. Beth Hoffman, priest in charge. We can pretend that we are like those crazy old German monks centuries ago who made beer and sang hymns to their God with lusty joy. It doesn’t mean we all have to drink the beer - root beer will be flowing freely, too,” Hoffman said.
