The library’s glass display cases located in the foyer will showcase the designer’s Pieces In Time Jewelry collection, as well as his personal collection of antique beads and fossils. The collection features handcrafted necklaces and earrings combining naturally formed elements with historic artifacts and treasures. He personally selects, shapes and polishes each component. For example, his signature piece, the Journey in Time necklace, features rare fossils, semi-precious stones and ancient artifacts combined with luminous, multihued Venetian beads. “In choosing individual elements for my jewelry, I look for pieces with an intriguing past, whether a fossil, stone, bead or artifact ... each has its own story, and when you string all of these bits and pieces of past worlds and lives together, you have a living history,” said Linke.
