Sport angling offers youth a healthy and fun recreational activity that can be shared for a lifetime with friends and family, according to the ODFW. The Aquatic and Angler Education Program introduces aquatic ecology and sport angling with an emphasis on youth. Programs give youth an understanding of aquatic ecosystems, and help them to develop the skills, knowledge and responsibilities associated with angling. There are four major areas of instruction: • Basic fishing skills • Aquatic conservation and stewardship • Ethical conduct and responsibilities • Water safety The program is delivered statewide through certified volunteer instructors and is free.

Bandon, Oregon 27, at the Bandon libraryÕs Sprague Room. Bali is renowned for its traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalwork, and music. It is surrounded by white sand beaches and coral reefs and is home to an active volcano. Bob and Cleone Reed spent four weeks vacationing in Bali. Jackie Day lived in Bali for three years. They will show slides, have many Balinese items available for show-and-tell and present a variety of perspectives on this beautiful Indonesian island. The program is sponsored by the BLFF. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served. AUDITIONS FOR all kinds of talent for the fifth annual Bandon Feeds the Hungry Variety Show will start at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, and again at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Ocean Crest Elementary School gymnasium, 11th Street side of school.
