Bandon, Oregon An artists’ reception will be held for both artists from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, at the library. The public is welcome. Shawn Tempesta is a self-taught artist who has painted with oils since her teens and created jewelry for the past 30 years. She moved to Bandon in 2008 with her husband after retiring as a registered nurse. They were drawn to the Southern Coast of Oregon because of its dramatic shoreline, incredible wildlife and diverse rainforests. Tempesta diplays her art and jewelry at the new Gallery and Studio Art by the Sea, in which she is a member. You can also see her creations at the Port of Bandon Old Town Marketplace. Michael William Ousley is a contemporary painter with an art studio in Langlois. His style is bright and bold in the use of color and image.
