“Godspell” is one of the biggest offBroadway and Broadway successes of all time. Based on the gospel according to St. Matthew and featuring a sparkling score, the musical boasts a string of well-loved songs, led by the international hit, “Day By Day.” As the cast performs “Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord,” “All Good Gifts,” and “By My Side” and more, the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly to life. The show runs Aug. 10, 11 and 12; 17, 18 and 19; 24, 25 and 26. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. “Godspell” is being guest-directed by Lisa Carman, a professional musician, songwriter and teacher from Santa Fe, N.M. The role of Jesus is played by popular Coos Bay singer Clint Guevara; with Ben Taylor as John the Baptist/Judas, along with Destyni and Tessa Fuller, Jenn Winchell, Autumn and Amy Moss-Strong, Lori and Kelly Straley, Shannon and Tyson Burruss and Linda Baldwin, and will feature a live on-stage band.
