Bandon, Oregon This year’s jog-athon fundraiser to raise money for both Ocean Crest’s new playground equipment and for technology upgrades at HLMS, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27, at the district track. Students will be raising money for the event by collecting pledges. Bandon High School will hold its annual open house on Thursday, Oct. 18. Principal Gaye Knapp will release details of the open house closer to the event. BHSÕs annual community service day also will be held in October. THE PUBLIC boat ramp and county access road at Bradley Lake south of Bandon has closed at least through Oct. 31 for repairs. Big J Construction will replace the existing boat ramp and add docks that extend to deeper water so anglers without boats can fish for rainbow trout and warmwater species. The narrow channel between the boat ramp and the lake’s main body will be deepened. It often grows shallow and choked with weeds.
