Conde McCullough built the Yaquina Bay, Alsea Bay, Siuslaw River, Umpqua River and Coos Bay bridges between 1934 and 1936. His designs are known for their architectural beauty. Florence author Fleagle’s book tells the story of McCullough and details the rich history of these striking central Oregon Coast bridges. Her program will include a PowerPoint presentation about the book, the bridges and some of the old-timers’ bridge stories. There is no cost to attend and refreshments will be served. The program is sponsored by Bandon Library Friends and Foundation and is part of its Monday night series.
