1st Day Embarkation from Flisvos Marina Piraeus. Sail to Kea. Kea is a small island in the Cycladic that got known to the modern world when Titanic's sister ship Britannica sunk here in 1916. The wreck is still here, and there is constant activity around it. The island in itself is a charming little paradise and it is still a very genuine place to visit. There are a few taverns and cafes, and the pace is slow. The most famous sight on the island is the Lion of Kea. It is a big, archaic sculpture of the mythical lion. The monastery of Panagia Kastriani, which dates back to the 18th century, is also worth a visit. There are many sandy beaches on Kea, like Otzias, Koundouros and Korissia. At Koundouros you'll find most of the water sports. Don’t forget to try out some of the delicious local specialities, such as the local sausages, pork dish "Paspala", cheese and wine, as well as some of the sweets made with local honey. 2nd Day Departure from Kea to Serifos. Serifos is an island renowned for its excellent food and relaxed atmosphere. It is a popular summer resorts amongst the Greeks, but has not been too commercialized since the mass tourism hasn't reached this little pearl just yet. The locals have lived off iron and copper mining since ancient years, together with fishing and some farming, mainly figs and olives. They are very friendly, and if you are lucky, you might be able to see some of their traditional celebrations of marriage, saints and other happy occasions. Overnight in Serifos.
3rd Day •Departure from Serifos to Milos. •Milos was the destination of the first known travel in the world in the open sea. Bold navigators 8000 years BC covered a distance of almost 100 NM and they reached Milos, where they discovered and took with them, a hard volcanic rock, called opsidianos. The rich in minerals volcanic ground and the occupation with the excavation, the treatment and also the sale of these minerals, constituted the first source of wealth for the island and the residents until today. • Many small and big sandy beaches with many colors, marine caves and geomorphologic forms of volcanic inspiration are responsible for the explosion of tourism in Milos. The history, the legends and the tradition are met with the extraordinary beauty of the island and they compose an ideal destination of relaxation and pleasure, able to satisfy even the most difficult taste. Leave your dreams free to emerge in the embrace of Venus and become one with the sun and the blue waters of the Aegean. •Overnight in Milos.
4th Day •Departure from Milos to Paros. • Paros is situated in the heart of the Cycladic. Serene landscape with fertile valleys and rolling hills dotted with small churches and monasteries, endless sandy beaches with sparkling blue waters, famous monuments from its rich ancient and medieval past, picturesque white villages bathed in the unique, dazzling Aegean light. Paros has many beaches and it is difficult to say which one is the best. Just like anywhere else in Greece, you will find little bars and taverns even in the smallest village on Paros. If you really want to party, it's best to stay in Parikia - that's where the clubs and discos are. All of the above, along with warm hospitality, excellent tourist facilities, rich cultural life, cosmopolitan ambience but also the possibility of seclusion, have combined to make Paros one of the most favourite spots in the Cycladic. •Overnight in Paros.
•5th Day •Departure from Paros to Sifnos. •A surprisingly green island for the Cyclades, Sifnos offers a good variety of peace and quiet and things to do. Even though it is a popular island, both amongst Greeks and foreigners, it has kept its originality and is resisting the commercialization many other islands have suffered. The locals on Sifnos live off agriculture, the natural source of aluminium and tourism, and the olive trees grow practically everywhere. •Overnight in Sifnos.
•6th Day •Departure from Sifnos to Syros. •This Cycladic Island with its wonderful town, Ermoupolis, is the capital of all the Cycladic. Syros is full of beauties and charms created by its unspoiled landscape, its authenticity and its traditional villages. The town of the island is full of Venetian and neoclassical buildings which make it one of the most beautiful towns of the country. The Ermoupolis City Hall is one of the finest samples of the island’s architecture and style. The most popular beaches of Syros are placed to the southern part of the island. Some of them are sandy and others are pebbled. They all have crystalline waters, with the most famous among them being Agathopes, Galissas, Megas Gialos and Kini. The villages of Ano Syros and the medieval village are some of the most picturesque sights on Syros. •Overnight in Syros.
7th Day •Departure from Syros to Kythnos. The picturesque island of Kythnos, also known as Thermia, is located between Kea and Serifos islands. An unspoiled and very Greek Island in every aspect. Locals are very friendly and the pace of life is quite slow. The island is quiet and offers some nice and secluded sandy beaches, ideal for relaxation. Chora is the island's capital, and it is a picturesque village in medieval style. Here, you can visit the Church of Trinity. Driopis is also a very pretty village, with typically winding streets and laid-back atmosphere. There is a small folklore museum here. In Kanala there is a small church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, with icons of healing powers. In Kythnos there are a few good beaches here that you can either walk or take the boat to. Episkopi and Apokroussi are very nice, but you can also stay in the harbour Merichas if you want. •Overnight in Kythnos.
8th Day •Departure from Kythnos to Piraeus Marina Zea. Since ancient times, Piraeus has been a port of great commercial and historical importance. When Themistocles saw its potentials and built the Great Walls around the port, the city became more powerful than ever. In medieval times, Piraeus was known as Porto Leone, a name due to the enormous stone lion, which guarded the port’s entrance. The life in Piraeus was always bonded with the sea. Today, besides the main port, visitors can enjoy walki8ng along the two smaller harbors of Marina Zea and Mikrolimano, which are full of small restaurants and picturesque cafes. A stroll among the beautiful old houses of Kastella is also worth talking.
