•1st Day •Departure from Athens Marina Alimos and sail to Poros. •Poros is a verdant island full of beauties and wonderful landscapes. Because most of the Athenians and foreign tourists are mostly going to cosmopolitan Hydra, it is still unspoiled and very authentic, ideal for relaxing and peaceful holidays. The capital of the island is a beautiful town with fine neoclassical and Venetian buildings, picturesque villages and beautiful beaches are completing the wonderful image. Poros lies very close to the Peloponnese and separated from it by a narrow channel. The island is extensively wooded with pine trees reaching to the shore. In ancient times Poseidon was the patron and a few remains of a temple to Poseidon can be found on a picturesque side on the east coast. Poros town, built on rocky slopes, is attractive and the approach by sea one of the most beautiful in Greece. •Here will be holding the wedding ceremony on board of the Yacht.
•The civil marriage ceremony will be conducted by the mayor of the island in the presence of the crew. Everything will be very formal. The Yacht will be decorated accordingly. Following the ceremony all will drink champagne on the welfare of the couple. It follows a romantic dinner. •For the ceremony we suggest two amazing locations.
The first is The Harbor of Love. A very romantic place where one can enjoy the green nature, turquoise waters swimming…..under the pines! The second is The Russian Naval Base. A beautiful and picturesque bay, which has been designated as a historic monument because of the large architectural and historical interest.
Opposite is the island Daskalio with the picturesque church. •Overnight in Poros.
•2nd Day •Departure from Poros to Spetses. •Spetses is mostly covered by pine trees. The attractive town is popular with tourists and Athenians alike. The old harbor and environs with many grand old houses is a wonderful place to wander around. The local yards build the Spetses caique which is considered to be among the best in Greece. John Fowles’ novel “The Magus” is set on the island. In September a small caique rigged out as an old trader is set on fire to commemorate the revolt against the Turks. This is accompanied by a noisy fireworks display and much merriment. •Overnight in Spetses.
3rd Day •Departure from Spetses to Nafplion. Whatever the name or how you say it Nafplion is the historical Jewel of the Peloponnese. A history full of myth, occupancy and revolutions. The name is in honour of Poseidons son Nauplis and the Palamidi Fortress is named after Palamis the local hero of the Trojan War. Palamis was also known for supposedly inventing weights and measures and the Greek Alphabet. The actual area of Nafplion has been inhabited since ancient times. In 1377 the Venetians arrived and during this time, in the mid 1400’s the Bourtzi Castle was built. A year later of the Greek War of Independence in 1821and due to its strong participation during the revolution, Nafplion was named as the first capital of the newly liberated free Greece in 1823. •Overnight in Nafplion.
4th Day •Departure from Nafplion and sail to Porto Heli. Porto Heli lies on the eastern peninsula of the Peloponese and is easily accessible by land and sea opposite the well known island of Spetses. A lovely medium sized fishing village that has a well balanced infrastructure. Porto Heli itself and the surrounding areas are becoming very popular for many people due to the interesting geography and numerous nearby places to visit. With an abundance of water sports and safe sailing, plus a new international standard golf course being built nearby it really has a lot to offer. Getting there is fairly straightforward. •Overnight in Porto Heli.
5th Day •Departure from Porto Heli to Hydra. Hydra is a beautiful island lying in the archipelago called the Argo-Saronic. Hydra is situated between the islands of Poros and Spetses, near the coast of the eastern foot of the Peloponnese. The Island is mountainous, arid and devoid of vegetation. Hydra is very popular because of its extremely picturesque capital, full of red-tiled houses and stone-paved narrow alleys. It used to be the destination of fashionable artists during the sixties and has kept a highly cosmopolitan character. •Stay the night over in Hydra and enjoy the breathtaking atmosphere.
6th Day •Departure from Hydra to Aegina. Aegina is the closest island as you depart from Kalamaki marina and is usually the first or last stop of your trip if you are sailing the Saronic Gulf. The Temple of Aphaea is well worth a visit as it has spectacular views and the temple is one of the best developed classical temples in Greece. Don't forget to stock up on pistachios as they are produced on the island of Aegina and are probably the best in Greece. On the SW of Aegina is the small fishing village of Perdika. The taverns in Perdika have excellent fresh fish. Moni is a small uninhabited island, opposite Perdika, that is partially wooded. It is a sanctuary for wild life and the sight of peacocks along the beach in the mornings is quite common. A small tavern operates in summer. •Overnight in Aegina.
7th Day •Departure from Aegina to the Alimos Marina. Alimos Marina is one of the largest marinas in Greece with a 1000 permanent positions. The Marina is located South West of Athens 15 Km from the city centre, 8 Km South of Piraeus port and 30 km from El. Venizelos International Airport. It is served by a dense transportation network of Trams, Buses and Taxis, with stations 500 meters from the Marina. •Disembark late in the evening at the Marina of Alimos. End of these amazing trip.
