Students will meet Ms. Fuss in the Learning Commons at 8:45am to depart from The York School at 9:00am They will travel to Laurmont school via van taxi Students will depart from TMS at 2:00pm to return to York for 3:00 pm via taxi
The purpose of this conference is to collaborate with other CIS schools in the area of student leadership Our Student leaders have the opportunity to share strategies to navigate unique school challenges, network with one another and build skills together to enrich their own communities This is a planning day to create the student-led workshops that will be offered at the Thrive conference
Description of Conference on Thursday, November 29th
The Thrive Leaders Symposium is an inter-school student leadership event hosted by CIS Ontario and Toronto Montessori School (TMS) Students will participate in seminar discussions on topics relevant to their leadership roles within their home schools, and network with other student leaders to foster collaboration in the future Students will also be taught hard skills for problem-solving in their own unique leadership environments Students from Grades 7-12 are invited to attend This is also an excellent experience to add to your CAS portfolio under Creativity
