The York School Athlete Institute

Page 1

The Athlete Institute is a programme offered outside the day-to-day operation of The York School. The Institute was conceived by Rick DeMarinis, The York School’s Director of Athletics, to support athletic development within our community and other affiliate schools. It operates in early evenings and weekends at The York School. These 8-9 week programmes are run by professional coaches and will develop an athlete’s skills, abilities and character. Programmes are age-appropriate and available for athletes in Grades 3–12. The concentrated player-to-coach ratio allows our high-performance facilitators to help each participant improve their play. Compensation is provided to our coaches for their dedication to our programme.
