The Mequon Nature Preserve lies in the midst of a metropolitan area that has more than 1.6 million people. Once there, you will find yourself entering a peaceful refuge and surprisingly removed from the city’s hustle and bustle. You will walk through nearly one square mile of hardwood forests, wetlands, and open fields. Its close-by location enables students enrolled in K-12 programs, technical colleges, and universities to use this space as their outdoor classroom. And youth groups come to the preserve to engage in service learning projects.
