The following are the concurrent sessions that are scheduled from

2:00PM to 3:00PM

This session will help participants understand and appreciate the link between the use of props in literature and the reading ability of children; they will also understand the connection between receptive language and productive language. They will look closely at the role that culture plays in the development of language and learn different strategies that can be used to help dual language learners learn the second language while maintaining the home language. This session will help educators learn the sequence of language acquisition and the importance of contextual learning of language.

Her session will focus on inculcating exploratory activities in mathematics learning and teaching using technology as a tool. To make mathematics classrooms interesting and insightful, it is important to use multiple strategies in teaching to cater to different types of learners. In today's context ,technology and activity based learning methods can be exploited to make students investigate mathematical concepts and discover mathematical relationships and properties by themselves. Relating mathematics to real life context also helps the learner to relate to these topics and understand that mathematics is grounded in reality. 10

2:00PM to 3:00PM

Our world is embarked on precarious journey that will test the elasticity of the earth's carrying capacity. We are experiencing reduction in natural resources with increasing population, hence there is a need to bring architectural changes in the way we produce consume and handle waste. Eco design is the art of integrating environment sensibility in all human processes. The toolkit contains how ,why ,what of all challenges facing us. This tool is real life case study which has been scaled up by many organisations by emulating ITC's pioneering steps in sustainable development.

Thinking itself is a premium ability. Problems can be solved creatively only when one can think creatively without restrictions and collaborate to solve problems, innovate, create and above all feel empowered. Academic achievements have limited value. Divergent thinking will be of premium value. For children, a mindset and the process of divergent as well as convergent thinking would be of immense value. Let us discuss examples to understand how multiple perspectives are important and not THE ACADEMICALLY CORRECT answer. 11

He is known to be the most colourful personality in the animation industry, this side of Hollywood. He has set up world-class animation studios in India and created the finest original Indian animated content, such as his magnum opus Little Krishna (2009) and Shaktiman (2011). He is one of the pioneers in animation education in the country. The present education system is all about literacy. But being literate alone in today's world is not enough. We need to look at emerging areas of work and the skills needed. We need to design new fields of learning for a creative world of work in the future.

She holds a teaching and training diploma, with distinction, from the Cambridge University, UK, and a Masters degree in Education. She is credited with revolutionising the classroom teaching process – she has through her vision established a unique scheme of education which embraces differentiated learning and individual learning programmes, through a system that reaches out to each child according to his need. She firmly believes that educating a child is a three-way process between the school, parent and child; and to this end encourages constant dialogue with parents. She aims to unsettle minds, widen horizons, inflame intellects, encourage risks, support struggles and cultivate dreams. She will share her journey and key learnings with us. 21

The following are the concurrent sessions that are scheduled from

12:00PM to 1:00PM

Kannan Bharadwaj, has deep passion for technology and its application in the field of education to help both educators and learners. He will talk us through how to make children explore, experience and enjoy Math through hands-on and virtual activities. Math is mostly “taught in schools while it is an ideal subject for learning by exploration. Learning will be so much better if we facilitate and guide children in discovering Math concepts as they work in groups and perform activities. Combining this with state of the art technology tools to help children visualize and understand concepts, we can really make a difference in the way children learn Math. Ullas Ponnadi is an avid technologist and is very passionate about teaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing, who has spent has spent over 29 years in core Engineering and design, working in the US and India. He will cover the design philosophy, learning outcomes and stimulation of innovative thinking via a product named SWADHYAYA. SWADHYAYA makes learning science fun, easy, interactive and intuitive via a design that brings together game based learning, scientific simulations, higher order thinking and measurements via assessments, onto devices that schools and children are comfortable with.

STEM Education can be used for learning various useful points of views and ways of thinking for better problem solving. Nowadays many companies are selling well-packed, ready-made educational kits for STEM Education. From point of view of education, students should know the basic principles, & mechanisms of each element inside these kits. This workshop, will demonstrate various unique activities of "making robots - moving things controlled by a microcontroller" that let students focus on the essence of STEM Education. It will also cover what the most important things are for preparing 21st century's workforce.

Future is uncharted water. Training in a swimming pool will not help us to deal with the demands of the future. We have no idea what the nature of work itself will be in the future. In this context, this session will be a colloquium on education where everybody will contribute and raise more questions than answers. It will be a glimpse into the perceived future of jobs and education.
