WISDOM ? We’d like to explore ways and means to involve the entire community in promoting and benefiting from this venture.

CIQ Greetings It is a great privilege to introduce Creativity & Intelligences Quest (CIQ), a movement to promote thinking and talents, with an interactive portal www.thinkCIQ.in, a quarterly journal, as well as regular events and workshops culminating in an Annual Conference. This is an initiative of three leaders in the field of school education, Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan of DPS, Bangalore, Mr. S.Selvarajan of SRV, Rasipuram and Dr. M Srinivasan of GEAR Innovative Intl. School, Bangalore. The power of innovation and the potential of a creative thought are yet to be really understood. Development of this mindset should actually start from age zero. Parents, Teachers and the entire community have a responsibility towards this. Efficacy and impact will depend on our awareness, commitment and the tools we have at our disposal. In this context of enormous responsibility and expectations, the idea of think Creativity and Intelligences Quest germinated. We are here with a plan to help those who understand the importance of creativity, innovation, research, brain development and intelligences. ThinkCIQ is a not for profit initiative with a mission to promote Creativity, Intelligences & Innovation with a “bottom up” approach. Most programs that exist today touch upon such issues at the graduate level and beyond. It is known that a building can rise as far as its foundation can hold. The same understanding is ignored when it comes to children and their immense potential that are not being challenged or encouraged in our schooling system. Our initiative is unique in its approach. We are working with the individual child at the core while also taking into confidence the stakeholders of a child's life i.e. the schools, teachers and parents.. We are harnessing years of practical experience in promoting creativity and intelligences in children and are being witness to fruits of our labour. We now intend to spread the best of our learning and activities across the length and breadth of the country. Our nation has immense potential to be the center of innovation and we intend on being that necessary catalyst. ThinkCIQ is to be launched with our maiden conference “thinkCIQ 2014” between the 11th - 13th of July. An event where schools, teachers and parents of different boards and age groups will congregate to learn about important topics that are conventionally ignored. We have eminent speakers from across the world covering a diverse range of topics. To ensure that our vision becomes a reality we need the support off organizations such as yours to help sustain our efforts as well as ensure it continues to become a self supporting initiative. In this light please find enclosed options with respect to the maiden conference, which can be worked out to include the entire scope of the project. For any query do feel free to reach me at sarvesh@thinkCIQ.in or directly on +91 9886730919. Looking forward to a partnership of immense benefit to the nation.

SCHOOLS
In the current fast paced world of innovation and development, it is sad to see that the education system followed is still an archaic one, in which the original intent was to create a vast number of factory workers. Over the past years people who did not conform to the system used their innate talents to break out and create something new. One has to go to the grass roots and strengthen the possibilities of producing more innovators and creators. This can be achieved only through collaboration and a willingness to strengthen the future prospects.

to all those who can have a positive influence on a child's life.
In the 21st century it will be imperative that our children are able to think out of the box, have multidimensional thought process and innovate to succeed in life. Before time is lost in improving our education system we at CIQ found it a more effective option to work along with the existing system and supplement it directly with various activities. We welcome you to share your experience and thoughts that would lead to developing creativity & intelligences in a child, like being a part of thinkCIQ 2014, explore our portal as well as contribute to our Journal.

“ t h i n k C I Q 2 014 ”
We at thinkCIQ believe in a hands-on approach supported by original thoughts and innovations. To make it an effective element of our programs, we will conduct various interactions through the year. They could be region specific, a single day workshop, or even a complete weekend program. To consolidate all the learning's from these interactions and the contributions on our portal, we are hosting our annual MEGA Conference: thinkCIQ 2014 : Creativity & Intelligences Quest 2014. It will be a power packed 3 day event held in Bangalore, between the 11th to 13th of July.

thinkCIQ # t C I Q 2 014
thinkCIQ 2014 is a first of many. Nowhere else will one find a collection of individuals focused on fostering the creativity and intelligences of a child. Especially with our “bottom up approach being unique. With this in mind it makes sense for anyone who even just knows a child to be part of thinkCIQ 2014. To make it easier for you to decide, there is a list we prepared, if you belong to one or more of the categories mentioned you definitely have to be part of this movement. Be one of the first few who will be making a positive change for the future of our children and hence our great nation. Grab your chance now and ensure that Bangalore is the game changer in this realm. As with the conferences’ to come there will be national and International interest and we will be the pioneers in this field.

THE NEXT STEP : I n t e r a c t i v e P o r t a l
www.thinkCIQ.c
m
After thinkCIQ 2014, the launch pad for our three pronged approach to promoting creativity and Intelligences with a bottom Up approach and our interactive portal going live at the conference we will now begin to approach individual schools and their teachers, to introduce them to the wonderful world of think CIQ. The portal is designed to stimulate and encourage children as well as teachers to participate and share ideas on the portal. The portal consists of predetermined activities that will encourage children to think out of the box and text book, which also set precedence on how they would understand and learn subjects. One would also be encouraged to create something original and have the world acknowledge the same. Teachers and parents would be able to share anecdotes on what they have observed, share ideas and best practices all the while improving their understanding and approach with children. We aim to be able to give personal feedback from thinkCIQ on every submission, to ensure everyone grows on multiple levels as they interact with the portal.
THE NEXT STEP : T O P 1 0 0 A w a r d s Another aspect of think CIQ getting launched at the conference is the TOP 100 awards. In any prestigious award, for example like the Nobel Prize is there only one individual that deserves the prize? Not necessarily, there would be at least a dozen individuals in contention for the prize, while only one is awarded. We wanted to change the paradigm and acknowledge the TOP 100. Where every winner would exactly know where they stand either in the Top 100, Top 50, Top 25, Top 15, Top 10, Top 5 and the winner.
TOP 100
would
comprise of 3 categories covering students, teachers and schools. From the announcement of the awards we would begin to encourage all to begin working towards aspects on which one would be judged. Giving them almost six months to prepare themselves before the application process and shortlisting begins. we aim to create a national spectacle of the TOP 100 awards, which would be announced at thinkCIQ 2015.
The winners of TOP 100 would not only receive national recognition, but also guidance from the think CIQ team to further their work. An added incentive would be the grants receivable by each depending on their respective level of recognition. TOP 100 Innovative Schools : We would like to recognize 100 schools in the country that are innovative in nature, promote innovation with their teachers and students. Only if the whole school is involved and unified in this goal can we produce creative and innovative future citizens. TOP 100 Creative Teachers: The length & breadth of our country is filled with passionate and dedicated teachers. These teachers go beyond the textbook to ensure their students comprehend and enjoy their classes. We as a nation fail to recognize such teachers and give them the much needed encouragement and support. With this award we aim to bring a radical change and promote many more teachers to be creative. TOP 100 Promising Scholars : We have a nation of talented youngsters. who are primarily judged only on their scholastic ability with standardized tests. We would like to encourage those students who fall in love with a particular discipline, be it art or science, and continue to further pursue the same, while maintaining the basic requirement in school.
