Credit Unions for Kids 2011 National Campaigns
March-April 2011 Change A Child’s Life: March 1 - April 30, 2011 Riding the wave of success with previous credit union change drives, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals introduces the Credit Unions for Kids Change A Child’s Life campaign. Scheduled for March 1 through April 30, this program offers credit unions a turnkey, no-cost opportunity to support their local children’s hospital. Participating credit unions can visit the Change A Child’s Life microsite www.cu4kidschangedrive.org (operational February 14) where they can order coin collection boxes and download collateral materials to help promote the campaign within the branches. Materials include a goal chart, thank you poster, website banner ad, newsletter article promoting the campaign, post-event article, suggested tweets and Facebook updates and press release templates for a campaign announcement and post event with results. We would like thank CO-OP Network for sponsoring this year’s campaign. CO-OP’s generous underwriting will off-set the cost of the kit materials which includes the coin collection boxes, donation reporting form, self-addressed envelope to remit check, campaign fact sheet and the shipping envelope. Hospitals will be responsible for the UPS shipping charges. July-September 2011 Summer of Caring Campaign/Miracle Jeans Day: July 18 – September 14, 2011 The Summer of Caring campaign kicks-off July 18 and concludes September 14 with Miracle Jeans Day. By tying the close of the campaign to Miracle Jeans Day (MJD), we hope to encourage member participation and compliment the wonderful support MJD has enjoyed among employees. Many of the same tools used for the Change A Child’s Life program will be used for this campaign. A microsite will be developed that will facilitate the ordering and shipping of kits and materials. A number of downloads (several still in development/others will be templates used for the change drive) will be offered to support the efforts of credit unions and hospitals. The campaign will offer three options from which credit unions can select – two paper icons which include the balloon and newly developed blue jeans icon which will serve to tie-in our Miracle Jeans Day event. The third choice will be the World’s Finest Chocolate candy product which is branded Credit Unions for Kids and has been a popular fundraising tool for credit unions throughout the country. Credit unions will be limited to choosing two of the three options.
November-December 2011 Holiday Icon Campaign: November 1 – December 31, 2011 The popular Holiday Icon Campaign, which was introduced in 2010, starts November 1 and wraps-up December 31. Once again, the same tools used for both the Change and Summer programs will be employed for this campaign. A microsite will facilitate the ordering and shipping of kits, and a number of downloads will be offered to help support the efforts of both credit unions and hospitals. At this time, we’ll be offering the same five icons, e.g. football, turkey, snowman, snowflake and light. Credit unions will have the opportunity to select up to two different icons – minimum of 100, maximum of 1000 per icon.
