I’m delighted to welcome you to the ISB brochure! International education is now the norm as the world becomes more and more a global village. We at ISB are passionate about offering our international students a challenging, meaningful and relevant educational experience in Dublin. Our programmes are designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and competences which will enhance your professional career. We seek to provide the context and materials which will help you develop as an individual in a multi-cultural environment. Students from the USA and Europe come together each semester at ISB to share this experience. Our city centre facilities will ensure you are in the heart of a bustling and cosmopolitan city. Our experienced and highly qualified team of staff and lecturers are anxious to ensure that your time in Ireland will be both rewarding and challenging. The information contained in this brochure is designed to inform you regarding all aspects of studying at ISB but feel free to contact us at any time if you have further questions. Facilities
Dublin is Ireland’s largest city with over 1.2 million people. It’s also one of the youngest cities in Europe with almost half the population under the age of 28!! Founded by the Vikings, Dublin has been at the heart of Ireland’s economic, social and political life for over a thousand years. Situated on the river Liffey, Dublin is bustling with life and energy. Though a major capital city, Dublin still remains welcoming and friendly. Renowned the world over for its literature, drama, cinema and music, Dublin also boasts some of the best pubs in the world and a night life second to none.
ISB is located in a modern, state-of-the-art premises in the heart of Dublin on Dawson Street. We are just a stone’s throw from Trinity College, the Mansion House (Lord Mayor’s residence), Temple Bar, St Stephen’s Green and the main pedestrian shopping area of Grafton Street. Bars, cafes and restaurants abound in the immediate vicinity.

We wish to facilitate their personal and professional development through the academic programmes and a wide range of cultural activities.

Sports and activities
ISB actively helps students source accommodation in Dublin. We do this by offering the following three options:
ISB actively encourages students to take full advantage of their time in Dublin and organises a range of cultural and sporting activities throughout the semester. These include: n Dublin city tour; n day trip to Glendalough; n day trip to Belfast; n paintball in the Dublin mountains; n greyhound racing; n Irish dancing; n parties; n tennis, squash, badminton and soccer.
1. Home-stays This is the ultimate way of fully immersing in the culture of Ireland and hugely beneficial to improving your English language competence. Families are located in the suburbs and students will commute for 45 minutes approximately each way. Accommodation is on a half-board basis (breakfast and evening meal) and light laundry is also included. Please contact ISB for more information. Approximate cost: 造180 per week
Health 2. Shared apartments The private apartment sector in Dublin offers a large range of one and two bed apartments in the city centre and nearby suburbs. Typical rents excluding utilities are between 造1100 and 造1300 per month for a two bed apartment (which accommodates 2, 3 or 4 students). Please contact ISB for a list of useful addresses and contacts. 3. Student residences ISB can also offer students accommodation in private student residences. These apartments are based on 3 to 4 students sharing in either twin or single bedrooms. The average cost is 造130 per student per week excluding utilities. Please contact ISB for more information.

EU students should obtain the European Health Insurance Card before leaving their home country. This entitles EU students to free medical care while in Ireland. All other students should obtain private medical insurance before coming to Ireland.
Academic programmes
ISB offers a range of semester programmes specifically designed for the international business student. Each programme is the equivalent of 30 ECTS credits.
Entrance requirements All students taking courses at IBS must have completed at least one full year of undergraduate university level studies in a related area and have sufficient competence in English to follow the programme. Visa requirements Students who hold an EU or EEA passport/identity card do not require a visa to study in Ireland. Students are also eligible to work provided they obtain a PPS number. Students from other jurisdictions should contact their local Irish embassy or consulate office to make a visa application at least three months before the start of the programme. A letter of acceptance from ISB is required to apply for a visa. US students do not require a visa but will need to register with the immigration authorities once in Ireland.
