Pumps are the largest consumer of global motive power and pumping system improvements can reduction of up to 40% in energy costs. BPMA, as referenced in the UK Government Energy Strategy documents developed the CPSA (initiative as an industry-specific professional qualification. Developed by the BPMA, already an established and highly regarded body within the industry. The objective of the CPSA initiative is to help improve the levels of professionalism in the sector by creating a universally recognised and respected industry ‘standard’ for individuals assessing the performance of a pumping system ensuring that those who have taken and passed this course can confidently show competence.
