THIRD DRAWER DOWN SIGNATURE COLLECTIONS Since 2003 Third Drawer Down Studio has collaborated with some of the most prominent modern and contemporary artists of our time, translating their artwork into limited edition or open edition objects and collectables. From our humble beginnings of producing limited edition tea towels as prints that questioned what made art to be art, we have expanded our collections to include homewares, games and accessories. Our artst collections are distributed in leading galleries and institutions worldwide. Third Drawer Down Studio collaborations include exclusive collections by Louise Bourgeois, Ai Weiwei, David Shrigley, Yayoi Kusama, Guerrilla Girls, Chris Ofili and Judy Chicago amongst many others. We are thrilled to commence 2018, our 15th anniversary no less, with a continued focus on accessible, collectable art products. Here we present a new collection by American painter and sculpter Chris Johanson as well as new additions to the ever expanding and best selling collection of British artist David Shrigley.
THIRD DRAWER DOWN STUDIO PRODUCTS
CHRIS JOHANSON Chris Johanson was born in San Jose, California in 1968 and currently lives and works in Los Angeles and Portland. He has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions, including “Possibilities” at Mitchell-Innes & Nash, New York, New York (2017); “Will and Be Going To” at Altman Siegel Gallery, San Francisco, California (2016); “Continuity Escapes Me (My Selfishness in Los Angeles)” at Galleri Nicolai Wallner in Copenhagen, Denmark (2014); “Chris Johanson” at the Portland Museum of Modern Art in Oregon (2014); “Within The River of Time Is My Mind” at MOCA Pacific Design Center, Los Angeles, California (2013); “Windows” at Mitchell-Innes & Nash, New York, New York (2012); and “Backwards Towards Forwards” at Kavi Gupta, Chicago, Illinois (2010). Johanson’s work has been included in group exhibitions at the Berkeley Art Museum, California; Karma, New York; Suzanne Geiss Gallery, New York; the San Francisco Art Institute, California; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, California; Grey Art Gallery, New York; and the Museo de la Ciudad de
Mexico in Mexico City, among many others. Two monographs have been published on the artist: “Please Listen I Have Something to Tell You” (Damani, 2007) and “Chris Johanson” (Phaidon, 2013). In 2017, Johanson collaborated on prints and an artists book with Lonnie Holley, and created an immersive exhibition design with artist Johanna Jackson for “We. Construct. Marvels. Between. Monuments.”, for a yearlong partnership between Portland Art Museum and Portland Museum of Modern Art, located in Portland, Oregon. In 2018 Johanson will have solo exhibitions at Galeri Albert Baronian, Brussels, Belgium and Altman Siegel Gallery in San Francisco, California

DAVID SHRIGLEY David Shrigley is a British artist who has come to prominence through his drawings, publications and sculptural works. is drawings have a kind of throwaway H beauty peopled as they are with monster children, idiots, aliens and bad parents. Full of twisted lists and exchanges, we love Shrigley for his humour, his wit and his endless cynisism.
Drawing can be the most intimate of exchanges physically - the scratching’s of a pen on paper, the scale of the notebook, erasing and building an image. But it also acts as a cathartic action. Maybe not just for the artist but for the viewer as well. So in Shrigley’s work he’s also releasing something for everybody. Third Drawer Down celebrated 10 years of collaboration with David Shrigley last year, and look forward to an exciting ten years ahead!

GUERRILLA GIRLS The Guerrilla Girls are a group of anonymous artists who wear gorilla masks in public and use facts, humor and outrageous visuals to expose discrimination and corruption in art, film, politics, and pop culture. In 30 years, they have come up with over a hundred posters, street projects, actions, books, and billboards. Most recently they did a stealth campaign in New York about the super rich hijacking art, and a wall in Reykja-
vik about discrimination in the Icelandic film industry. They travel the world doing gigs , workshops, exhibitions and inspiring others to create their own effective activist campaigns.

CRAIG DAMRAUER Currently working out of New Orleans, Craig Damrauer makes things and writes about things. His art centres on simplifying complexity. The ‘New Math’ body of work takes words and basic math and cretes definitions for the stuff that seems to get increasingly complicated in our chalending modern world.
His work has been shon at MCA Denver and LA Contemporary Editions amongst many others. He has been features in the New York Times, the Atlantic, GOOD and Anathema to much acclaim.
