Ajibola’s death attracted many statements of condolence from far and near, while some paid their last respects to the deceased’s family at his Abeokuta home. Among prominent Nigerians, who paid tribute to the dead were President Muhammadu Buhari, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida, and President-elect Biola Tinubu.
