OnFarm the

F

or 53 years, Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm has introduced guests to experience farm life as it was nearly two centuries ago. Unmasking a friendly atmosphere with farm animals, gardening basics and history; guides portraying the farm’s family members invite all to experience days gone by. Starting June 18, this popular Stroudsburg destination embarks upon yet another stellar summer tour lasting through September 5. Sponsored in part by Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, June 18’s Summer Garden Party ignites a season filled with excitement. New adventures around every turn include a treat for tots, Foods with Funny Names, along with fairy garden art for older youth and adults. There’ll also be Pressed Flower Art with Alice Prall and Pottery with Joan Glusiec demonstrations planned periodically throughout the day. A 2 p.m. Victorian Tea fundraiser benefitting the non-profit invites guests age eight and up to enjoy tea sandwiches, fresh baked goodies, as well as teas and lemonade. Seating is limited so $15 reservations are required in advance. Open Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5, all activities are held rain or shine. General admission to the farm is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3 to 12 and includes the historic farm tour and Summer Garden Party.
