Wet ’n’ Wild Day Leprechaun Days

at Central Park’s Festival Grounds next to the Eagan Community Center, 1501 Central Parkway. A 150th Year Celebration Party will be featured July 28. July 1-July 4 - Eagan’s July 4th Funfest will kick off with the Miss Eagan Pageant on July 1. Festival grounds will open July 2 and feature food booths, games, rides and a concert by Jacob Martin. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. July 3 and the celebration will conclude with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. July 4 at 1501 Central Parkway. July 4-10 – Pan-O-Prog. Farmington will play host to the 2010 Minnesota Soybean Festival May 2022. Organizers say the festival is a way to bring together farmers, businesses and the community to learn how vital soybeans are to everyday life and how relevant the crop is in today’s global market. “Minnesota is having a key effect on the health of our earth by supplying the versatile soybean to the world, and we aim to celebrate this as a community,� said Vida Raine, festival chairperson. The idea for the festival came out of the Farmington Downtown Business Association’s discussions about offering a community celebration. The festival has already been endorsed by the United Soybean Board; the local Feely’s Elevator in downtown Farmington is

The Elvis Experience is the featured act at Classic Car Show & Oldies Music Night at the summer-long Market Fest, which will be held Wednesdays, June 30 to Sept. 15, in Central Park next to the Eagan Community Center. The festival offers live music each week in addition to the city-sponsored event’s regular contingent of family activities and food and craft vendors. Among the lineup of performers at Eagan Market Fest this year are country rockers Hillbilly Mafia (June 30), 7 Cats Swing Band (July 7), and Celtic folk group Locklin Road (July 21). The family-oriented concerts hosted by the Apple Valley Arts Foundation run from 6:30 p.m. to dusk in the park at 152nd and Fortino streets near Enjoy! restaurant. The Downtown Lakeville Business Association is getting in on the summer concert action with weekly Wednesday on Main concerts in Pioneer Park Plaza. Geared to families, the series kicks off July 14 with the Teddy Bear Band and Panda, and runs Wednesday evenings through Aug. 11 when the closing-night lineup features a sock hop, DJ and classic car show.

Though technically not a concert series, Bluegrass Americana Music Weekend in Rosemount July 23-25 packs enough music into three days to keep bluegrass and gospel fans sated for the remainder of the summer. Held in Central Park in conjunction with the city’s annual Leprechaun Days celebration, the festival kicks off Friday night (July 23) with a square dance, clogging demonstrations and live music. Saturday is “bluegrass day� at the festival and will include sets from four bluegrass bands throughout the evening (including Rosemount’s own Sawtooth). The festival concludes Sunday with a gospel sing and performance by the Medalist concert band. More on all these events can be found at Thisweeklive.com.
