would like to welcome all everyone
connected with Hutton, I hope everyone has a safe trip to and from the game. Our start to the season has been mixed in terms of performances but taking four points from six is an OK start. Our target for September is 10 so hopefully we hit that. Our last home game against Canning Town which we drew 2-2 & didn’t play great was a point earned I believe. We travelled to Shenfield & won 2-0 & could

Deasy getting on the scoresheet, ensured Catholic United emphatically brushed aside Hutton at Wellstead Gardens. Having experienced two successive defeats to Basildon Town (1-5) & Newbury Forest (3-2) before the winter break to derail their Division One title
A tightly fought 2-1 derby victory away at Old Southendian preceded a dominant Premier Cup quarter-final win at top division side Manford Way (14), before Hutton visited for the first home game of the calendar year. James Paviour’s side carried on their good form by seizing control of the
game early on & would go on to win 0-4 in the reverse fixture a fortnight later. Striker Williams went on to convert 20 times for the campaign whilst Collins’ currency from midfield accrued double figures in both scoring & assists. RESERVES
After progressing in the League Cup last weekend, today the Reserves begin their league campaign & manager Tom Harding hopes to pick up where they left off
How have you assessed the Reserves’ start to the season, & what has impressed you most? We have started the season strongly, playing very good football at times & having a ruthlessness about us in attacking areas. Despite conceding a couple of goals at the weekend, I’ve been impressed with our work rate off the ball & adaptability with different formations so far, which will help us throughout a
division as a minimum, naturally winning it would be the ultimate aim. A club of this size & ambition needs to have a reserve team competing in a higher league, & we have a team more than capable of doing that. Also, we’d love a cup run! You have assembled a good combination of youth & experience how much will that help achieve your goals? In terms of the squad, I’m happy with the balance at the moment, we have a few older heads in the mix, especially with Mark Baptist & Dan Trenkel at the weekend which helps and the maturity in some of the younger members is now showing and will be vital going forward, both on and off the pitch.
