Concerning my initial idea, I used canvas to making dress, this idea came from my final project when I was in University, and my original thinking is fine art element combine with the clothes, it can be a art product and a modern dress as well. Talk about my work, I used triangle, diamond pieces and element by architecture structure to make the canvas couture; on the surface, I painted by spray gun to create pattern for colourful colour, ware and spiral style to stressed handmade with unique.

Development by paper framework, cutting and folding lines slightly and make it showed more like three-dimensional shape, also it is make a gradual progress to developed triangle appearance and transform any or many figures. It is a prototype of idea from the beginning, and think about combination bwtween paper and normal fabric during the MA period,

Research Section 1 Environmental protection
A new fashion designer called Medavog, he is a challenger from the Project Runway T.V. program, there have a competition he used newspaper to make an A line dress and mixed splice skill. New York Fashion Week 2010 Gary Harvey design a recycle collection, also had a dress made by paper; it is worth mention which he used sizing on the paper or recycle paper than change texture and sows exaggeration, fluffy skirt. In my opinion, this is a great idea for environmental protection, designer considers shortage of raw materials nowadays, and this idea might be inspire me to change.

Research Section 1.0 Environmental protection Mintdesigns used newspaper (shredded paper) crested women dress, Mintdisgns created by Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi, they are design purpose mention clothing is part of life, for the show work displayed environmental protection as well; about the materials they also used newspaper, that I can certification and indorsement my project and prove for it.

Research Section 2 The appearance, & Shape development created my idea by combination of three element fine art, fashion and architecture. Issey Miyake 2010 collection called “132 5�, the collection main is sustainability and environmental protection, about concept of clothing from origami and regeneration, the whole dress is like a three-dimensional folding of the 3D sculpture, this series uses the fabric folding, Issey Miyake chosen to use recycled PET bottles made of the material-rePET which he has been working to fashion design clothes to be wearing a more efficient, more ecological, but also stylish and contemporary.

Research Section 4 Colour & Handmade pattern
My work experience in CHILDISH who is one of handmade studio in Taiwan, the products is really common with my program of study, talk about work content is silk printing, using silk screen to prints on the T-shirt’s front, studio design, cutting the pattern by themselves, just demands one pieces of t-shirt has own unique pattern, that is a mention what I want to achieve on my final project; on the other hand the famous artist Andy Warhol, he also had silk printing for his work and print on clothes or mug etc. Therefore, I was got some resources talk about the handmade subject and support my argument.

Practical work Activity of process case 1: Circular pattern
Design round pattern for blank and colourful style to get intense contrast of colors; it shows abundant composition and lively skill such as washes, blending and mixing as wall.

Spray Pigment for two type one is low to light luminosityround, and the other one is contrasting colors. The pattern stack of colours is similar like oil painting, that is a good effect for test

Blending colour is really common technique in watercolour for this working, I used paper tape to keep white parts to make a contrast vision and get stroung contrast.

Mixing pattern combines spray and blending two elements. created a new style for my practical work, testing a different skill on the pattern, than make the result feels more thick and saturation.

That is a combination by circular and spray elemants, used blank effect to draw sharp edges, there have two type of pattern,

Triangle pattern shows colourful and Bright collection It is really time-consuming, that needs wait the pigment till dry by each pieces, than step by step to planning position of the triangle shape.

Lines Ă— blending Mixing pigment in two or three colour, let screen not too monotonous; on the other side lines have many advantage such as fashionable, classic and popular, therefore, i designed this type of pattern collection.

Lines Ă— blending No.2 Same as No.1 style, mixing colour. In this collection, i draw more complicated design, for example cover, cross or block etc.

The idea is came from puzzle, I use triangle pieces spell a square, this handmade pattern is my first idea to use on the MA final project collection, but perplexed permutation is not easy to fold. than improve better shape from this image.

Same style of watercolour collection. I paintrd same tone for triangle pattern, therefore, it shows colourful and Bbight for each single paper. In conclusion, the handmade pattern seems easy, in fact, is it time-consuming and low production, but for my MA course, I want to create a bright new vision of my idea, fine art and fashion’s combination .

The triangle pattern affect paper become more thick, shows hard texture contract with normal fabric, that is my scheme of step one to create fine art fashiopn dress.

The paper builded Starting to connect paper dress, find consort junction and Glue it each other; after connection, the prototype became like three-D structure. For this stage , I will try to make it become unpredictable type, appear not only one style on each suit.
