Feast your eyes on the special edition FR-S revealed at the New York International Auto Show earlier this year. The Release Series 1.0 is hotness because of three main reasons: 1. Comes only in Yuzu yellow paint. Will also be equipped with options such as the push-button start, HID headlamps, LED daytime-running lights and black seats styled from the GT86. 2. TRD parts are used inside and out. The body kit is custom-made for this special edition car, which includes a rear spoiler and side fender inserts. The coupe also comes with a TRD quad exhaust, springs, steering wheel and shift knob. 3. You won’t find too many of these models on the road. Only 1,500 units will be produced. It’ll be up for sale this month with the sticker price expected to be under $30,000.
IT’S A PARTY, AN FT-1 PARTY! There isn’t any groundbreaking news about Toyota’s FT-1 Coupe yet… But we finally had the chance to see the concept in person at a private party held during the New York International Auto Show. Toyota closed off a section of The Standard Hotel and put the FT-1 on display. The party had an old school feel with retro arcade games, while famed rapper, Biz Markie, was on the 1s and 2s. There’s still no word what motor or what plans are next for the possible Supra successor, but seeing this Formula One-inspired concept with our own eyes has us still dreaming about the possibilities today.
