the english concert in america The English Concert in America (TECA), a nonprofit organization established in 1009, promotes the performance and appreciation of baroque and classical music in the United States through its association with The English Concert, one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world, currently under the direction of Harry Bicket, internationally renowned opera and concert conductor. In association with The English Concert and Juilliard’s Historical Performance faculty in New York, TECA each year through its Fellowship program provides a select group of emerging young performers the opportunity to continue to develop artistically at a critical stage in their education and professional life. Since its establishment in 2014, the Fellowship has been awarded to fifteen Historical Performance graduates specializing in early music on period instruments.
