A stretch of Northern Spain that encompasses cool climates and warm plains with a range of Atlantic and Continental climates yielding bold red wines from the DO Toro, fresh aromatic whites from the DO Rueda and vibrant rosés from the DO Navarra

“Rueda is proud to be the second denomination of origin in sales of quality wine in Spain, with 14.5% of the market. Additionally, we lead the quality white wine segment with an impressive 42.3% market share.
This success is due to multiple factors, among which stand out an excellent quality-price ratio and the loyalty of consumers who, after trying our wines, usually repeat and become true ambassadors of the brand.
Rueda wines are known for their great versatility, capable of adapting to various occasions and pairing with a wide range of dishes. In November 2019, we introduced the Gran Vino de Rueda category, further raising the level of quality and prestige of our appellation. This category includes wines from old vineyards, with low yields, a low percentage of conversion of grapes into must and a minimum of one year of aging in the bottle.

“ Toro is one of the oldest and richest wine regions not only in Spain, even in the world.”
“From the very beginning Toro means Wine and vineyards. Our old bush vines, directly planted, un-grafted, survive in an extreme climate and produce with a very low average yield grapes of our native grape varieties.
With these hand harvested grapes, are made powerful, intense and full body wines, and at the same time, they are elegant, silky and fruity wines. The majority of them are red wines, made with our main variety, the Tinta de Toro grape.
Our soils are rich in sand, stones, pebbles, gravel, and clay most of the times deep inside the soil, are nestled in the valley that Duero river has formed as time goes by in its route to the sea, crossing all of our region from east to west.
UK market is one of the most important for our producers, who are able to make, with the same grape variety and in a small wine region a huge quantity of different kind of Toro red wines; I wish you all enjoy them.”
