The Pawn Wine Co. ‘The Gambit’ Sangiovese 2015 Adelaide Hills, SA - / $60 Sangiovese originated from the hills of Tuscany in Chianti. It’s a medium weight red that’s really dry and works a treat with antipasti or as a lovely drink on its own. Jericho Family Wines Tempranillo 2016 Adelaide Hills, SA $12 /58 Small batch wine, hand made with great care. Tempranillo is often described as being “juicy”, well, being made of grape juice, you’d hope it is. Savoury but with a solid vein of berry fruits, really lovely wine. Flametree ‘Embers’ Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Margaret River, WA $10 /48 One of Australia’s best regions for quality Cabernet. Such a great wine, lifted berry fruits, hints of chocolate and lovely backbone of tannins, we really like this one. Glaetzer ‘Wallace’ Shiraz Grenache 2016 Barossa Valley, SA $11 /52 Bold wine, plenty of Barossa power here, full flavoured classic Barossa blend finishing with grippy bold tannins. Zema Estate Shiraz 2013 Coonawarra, SA - / $68 The Zema family have been in Coonawarra since the early 60’s. Another small batch, beautiful wine made by family owned winery. Only using fruit from their own vineyards, this is delicious and something that they are very proud of.
