Light Night Leeds is a free festival which takes place in Leeds City Centre.

Following on from the successful ‘Laser Light City’ in 2020, Light Night Leeds will return with a new festival in October 2021.

Tania’s Bus Trip to York

Where did you catch the bus from in Town?

At the bus station in town. From Stand number 21.

What bus did you catch?

I got the Zap bus into York, I got off by York railway station. I went across the road, and caught the number 7 bus to York Designer Outlet. The bus looks like the park and ride buses in Leeds but it is blue.

How much did it cost to travel to York?

It costs £12 for a York day trip ticket.

It’s free to travel to York on a disabled pass.

If you have a TC on your pass you can take another person with you for free. ‘TC’ means travel companion.

How long did it take to travel to York?

It should take 40 minutes to get to York on the Zap bus. When I went to York on the Zap bus it took 54 minutes to get there.

Do you have to book to go on the bus?

No, I just turned up at the bus station in Leeds and got on the Zap bus to York.
