We’re Going on a Bear Hunt Tuesday 22 December 2015 – Wednesday 13 January 2016 Town Hall Join our intrepid adventurers on their quest to find a bear; as they wade through the gigantic swishy swashy grass, the splishy splashy river and the thick oozy, squelchy mud! Direct from a smash-hit West End and international tour, Michael Rosen’s award-winning book We’re Going On A Bear Hunt (illustrated by Helen Oxenbury) is brought vividly and noisily to the stage in director Sally Cookson’s fun-filled adaptation, set to Benji Bower’s versatile and lively score.
The Moscow State Circus Thursday 28 January 7.30pm Symphony Hall The most famous circus on earth returns to the UK and the first time ever to Symphony Hall with its latest and greatest production to date, Zhelaniy, in what is undoubtedly an amazing night for the whole family.

Featuring music from Star Wars, Superman, E.T., Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Thunderbirds, plus Holst’s Mars and Jupiter, and Strauss’s Sprach Zarathustra and Blue Danube Waltz.

A new children’s Easter stage show from the creator of Tweenies
How the Lion Became King of Tinga Tinga Land Friday 1 April 2pm & Saturday 2 April 11am Town Hall How the Lion Became King of Tinga Tinga Land, is a fun-packed performance that will transport children and their families to the African Plain, meeting a host of characters, including Banjoko the bird, a cheeky monkey, a kind but goofy giraffe, a groovy zebra and a very proud Lion. Puppetry, lots of song and dance to join in with and a ruck of classic nursery rhymes with traditional East African folktales. The adventure keeps everyone’s toes a-tapping throughout... definitely not to be missed! Children are encouraged to turn up in costume, as their favourite animal. Suitable for ages 3+
Relaxed Performance Saturday 2 April 3pm With chill-out zones and less formal atmosphere, relaxed performances are open to all, and designed specifically for people with an Autistic Spectrum Condition, a learning disability or sensory and communication disorder.

Fresh from the World Premiere in London, Disney Frozen in Concert sees the full CBSO accompany this iconic Disney phenomenon live on stage. For two performances only, Frozen fans can experience the multi-award winning film, complete with Birmingham’s own world-class orchestra and chorus bringing to life the incredible score all under the roof of the UK’s finest concert hall – for the first time in forever. Frozen performances are a special collaboration between CBSO, THSH and Disney, and are therefore not available to book as part of a Concert Package. The Relaxed Concert
featuring James Rowney Sunday 10 April 3pm Town Hall
Join ventriloquist James and his friend Little Jim who take us on a musical adventure through time and space all the way to the last night of the proms, performed live in the magnificent Town Hall. We’ve created a unique concert in a relaxed setting to introduce you to the music you might know and love, as voted for by the families in the Autism West Midlands network. But we’ve thrown the rule book out of the window, so we don’t mind if you clap or cheer, talk or laugh, or even dance if you want to! Bring the whole family along to hear the music of wizards, time lords and William Tell, all in an everyone-friendly, familyfriendly and autism-friendly atmosphere. This performance is very kindly supported by The Saintbury Trust.
