IMAGINATIONS

Gen. 11:6 “…and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” The power of the mind is a powerful gift from God to believers if it is used correctly. But we must first look to the source. Gen. 1:26 “And God said, let us make man in our own image (body), after our likeness (soul) and let him have dominion (authority) over …all the earth.” It has taken over two thousand years for religion to rob us from what God had given us. It’s about time that we realize who we really are! Nine times in Gen.1 we read “and God said,” then we read “and God saw.” God spoke and put spiritual laws into motion, Rom.4:17 “Speak those things that be not as though they are.” We can speak what the Word says about us, or we can speak what the world says about us. We can have what we say; we have “dominion over all the earth.” PS. 91: 10 “There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague (pandemic) come night thy dwelling.” PS. 82:6 “I have said, Ye are gods and all of you are children of the most High.” John 10: 34-35 “Jesus answered them, it is written in your law, I said, Ye are gods. If He called them gods, unto whom the Word of God came, scripture cannot be broken. 1 John 4:17 “As He (Jesus) is, so are we in this world.” This may come as a shock to your religious side, but these scriptures make it plain; we are “gods.” We are made in His image, after His likeness, we are His children and as He is, so are we in this world. But we must be very careful, this same powerful Covenant gift (imaginations)from God can also work against us if we abuse it. Rom.1:21 “…when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.’ Prov.21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes.” Man can convince himself of anything. Man’s inhumanity to man can get out of control; the holocaust, the mistreatment of the American Indian, the abuse of the black race, yet man can justify himself. It becomes dangerous when we can’t decern the difference between right & wrong, good & evil. Before we know it, we have substituted the God of the bible for our own golden calf. Our Imagination is also the key to our remembrance and our spiritual memory which also keeps us sensitive towards the things of God. PS.103:2 “Bless the Lord. O my soul: and forget not His benefits” Deut.8:11 “Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God.” Ex.13:3 “Moses said; Remember this day in which ye came out from Egypt.” 1 Cor. 11:24-25 (communion) “This do in Remembrance of me.” Until next time, keep your face in the wind and your kickstand up. To be found faithful, Pastor Ron
