The bike was always in my mind but when my dad got sick, that’s when I focused on it! It was something I could do to take my mind off thinking about him being so sick. It took 6 months to decide on a color! Basically I would go to the garage ever night and work on the things I could do. Some nights I would just sit and look at it till I would go to sleep beside it. Other nights I might even cry myself to sleep thinking about my dad. I know I’m a grown man but my dad being sick was too much some nights! I called my uncle Steve to help with technical parts of build. Without him it wouldn’t have been possible! In the end I lost my dad, he was my rock, and unfortunately he didn’t get to see it finished before he passed. The first show I won, I couldn’t even hardly speak when they called my name! All the emotions hit like a train! But I believe his spirit was with me and he was looking down smiling, saying look what my son built!
