I
t’s that time of year again: As a preface, I’d just like to say that I am DEFINITELY one of those people that plays Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving. It was a fun October, and Thanksgiving food is great, but Santa’s coming to town, people! This is for all of those who are ready for Christmas NOW, as well as the others that just need a little reminder of why it’s the best holiday of the year. 1. Decorations: Seeing my house filled with decorations and a shining, lit up Christmas tree gives me so much joy. Blast some Christmas music as I decorate, and if a little dance party ensues, then I’ll let it happen. 2. Music: Christmas music is one of the best things about this holiday. I love listening to the classics by Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, as well as the entire Pentatonix Christmas album. If one thing gets me fully into the Christmas spirit, it’s the music. 3. Movies: There are so many amazing Christmas movies out there. All I want is to cuddle up by a fire with some hot chocolate and watch Christmas with the Kranks, Four Christmases, or The Santa Claus, and if I’m feeling a little rom com, Love Actually is the best. And lets not forget the Hallmark Channel which plays Christmas movies 24/7, what else could you ask for!? 4. Desserts: I don’t know about you guys, but dessert is probably my favorite food category, and Christmas by far has the best desserts. There’s peppermint bark, there’s all kinds of pie, there’s definitely an abundance of cake. Also, don’t forget about all the seasonal drinks at Starbucks. Caramel Brulée lattes are BOMB. 5. Shopping for Gifts: I know shopping during Christmas is usually a nightmare and every store you go seems to be filled to the brim with people, but that’s not what I love about Christmas shopping. I love shopping for gifts for the people I care about. There’s nothing better than knowing exactly what to get for someone and watching their face light up as they open it up on Christmas day. So there it is! I’m excited about another holiday season! I’m excited that I have thanks to give, presents to wrap and a loving family to share it with! And best of all, I get to see my two precious grandbabies that live and Canada and my daughter and son-in-law! We would like to take this opportunity to thank each, and every one of you for your dedication, thank you to our wonderful advertisers for your continued support and thank you to our amazing staff for the time you give to the magazine. We are fortunate and grateful to have an enormous amount of support and we look forward to 2020! Here’s hoping that your Christmas will find you among family and friends, sharing the spirit of the season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

“SPIRITUAL INSECURITY” When trials, tribulations enter our life, we find out real quick where we are spiritually. Do we handle a crisis in the world’s natural way or in God’s spiritual way? When we lose our job, get a bad health report, something goes wrong with our children, or the worst crisis of all is the death of a loved one. In Jo.11:19-44 Jesus came to a funeral of a very close friend named Lazarus. When Martha, Mary and the Jews saw Jesus, they all three made the same statement; “if you had been here, he would not have died.” Jesus, it’s your fault! The world’s natural grief will make you say and do stupid things. But Jesus brought it back to the spiritual; “I am the resurrection, and the life, he that believes in me, though he be dead, yet shall he live!” Then Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead. The disciples made the same worldly natural mistake after Jesus had been crucified. Jo.20:19-20 “…the disciples were in a locked room for fear of the Jews.” Their worldly natural fears had taken over from their grief. They had forgotten all that Jesus had taught them. Jo.14:28 “…I said unto you, I go away and come again unto you. If you loved me, ye would rejoice because I go unto my Father.” Jo.16:5-6 “But now I go to Him that sent me…but because I have said these things unto you, sorrow has filled your hearts.” Not only couldn’t the disciples rejoice with Jesus for going home to His heavenly Father, but sorrow had filled their hearts because of their “Spiritual insecurity.” But the disciples were so focused on their own worldly natural dreams and hopes, they thought that Jesus would set up His earthly kingdom and they would all end up in leadership. Mark 10:37 “They said (brothers James and John) unto Him (Jesus), grant unto us that we may sit on thy right hand and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.” Mark 10:41 “And when the other ten disciples heard it, they began to be much displeased.” “Spiritual Insecurity” will bring spiritual jealously, fear, strife, and pride. Prov. 13:10 “only by pride cometh contention (strife).” Pride is on both ends of the scale; Arrogance and false humility are just opposite expressions. John 14:27 “Peace (natural peace) I leave with you, my December 2019
peace (spiritual peace) I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled (don’t panic), neither let it be afraid.” “PEACE” should be the trademark for a Christian. If you don’t have peace in all situations, then you could be Spiritually Insecure. Do you argue over the Word of God? Do you think that another Christian that doesn’t agree with your way of thinking are straight from the pits of hell? Some may not agree with anything I have said, but I don’t care, I don’t need anyone’s approval because; “I know whom I have believed in.” Until next time, keep your face in the wind and your kickstand up. To be found faithful, Pastor Ron

RELOADING BASICS – PART 1
G
reetings fellow bikers! If you are like me, you feel a bit cheated this fall. Autumn is my favorite time of the year to ride. After riding all summer, fall usually provides a welcome relief from the heat with beautiful colors and mild temperatures. But this year, after having perhaps the hottest September and early October in history, we dropped into a deep freeze more like January than November. Fall literally lasted less than a week! But that will not keep your Grey Beard Biker from riding. It will just require full leathers, heated grips and heated seats. Currently, we are living in a relatively quiet time with regards to threats against our Second Amendment rights – rights which we know are given by God – not the government. Because I used to shoot pistols competitively, I started reloading my own ammunition about ten years ago. This actually helped reduce the cost of shooting (which is very expensive when you shoot 7,500-10,000 rounds per year) and provided more consistent ammunition than store bought ammo. It also insured that when the previous president threatened severe gun laws, causing ammunition shortages, I had plenty of ammunition to continue shooting regularly. Reloading Considerations There are many things to keep in mind when you are considering reloading ammunition. The number one consideration is the cost. With ammo costs down, and plenty on the shelves of your local gun store, big box retailer and sporting goods stores, cost will be a major consideration. If you are going to start hand loading your own ammo, you will have to shoot a lot to get a return on your investment – think in terms of 10s of thousands of rounds. If you are going to reload rifle cartridges and handgun ammo, it will be easier to recover the costs of your equipment as rifle ammunition can be very expensive. Also, if you only shoot 9mm or .380 ACP, the time it will take to get a return on your investment is going to be VERY long. The type of press you purchase will also be something to consider. If you are only going to reload rifle ammunition, you do not need a progressive reloading press. You can easily get by with a single stage press. With this type of press, you will de-cap the spent primers and install new primers outside the press. This is done with a hand primer tool. You also measure your powder outside the press. While you can reload handgun ammunition with a single stage press, it is VERY time consuming. A major benefit for a single stage press is cost: it is much less expensive to get started with the basic equipment to reload. Grey Beard recommends a progressive press if you are going to reload a lot of ammunition. There are many very good presses on the market today. I use a Hornady Lockn-Load press which has five separate stations. These stations are: 1. Brass sizing and de-capping 2. Brass flaring 3. Case activated powder drop 4. Bullet seating 5. Brass crimping (not always used) While you do not necessarily use all of these stages for every caliber cartridge, it is nice that you can do so. It literally creates an assembly line. Besides Hornady, other very good progressive presses are manufactured by RCBS, Redding, Lee and Lyman.
Another consideration will be how many calibers you reload. For each caliber you plan on reloading, you will need a die set and shell plate. I reload over two dozen calibers of rifle and pistol ammunition, so I have made a significant investment in just the dies and shell plates. Lastly, you will need to consider where you will set up your reloading equipment. I have mine set up on an eight-foot workbench and I wish I had double the space. The area needs to be clean and well lit. You will also need plenty of storage as your reloading equipment and supplies take up a lot of space. I store brass in plastic containers on my table. I have an eight-drawer rolling tool box for my dies, shell plates, new brass, bullets, primers and other tools I use. My finished ammunition is stored in 50 or 100 count plastic cases in a locked storage cabinet. This is also where I store all of my powder – which numbers at least 30 different types. Minimum Initial Investment for Progressive Reloading 1. Progressive Press = $450 2. Dies = $50 for each caliber 3. Shell plates = $35 for each caliber 4. Loading manual (for powder recipes) = $30 5. Dial caliper (to measure overall cartridge length) = $40 6. Electronic powder scale = $40 7. Brass sonic cleaner = $125 8. Case trimmer (if loading rifle ammo) = $90 9. Miscellaneous tools = $100 10. Supplies (powder, primers, bullets, etc.) = $175 Approximate Total Cost = $1,135 Summary Based on your initial investment, reloading may not be something which provides you a return on investment. Having shot at least 45,000 rounds over the past 10 years, I have recovered the cost of my investment many times over. But cost should not be the only thing you consider before reloading. If you enjoy working with your hands, you may get a lot of enjoyment sitting at your press rolling your own ammo. It is something your ever-lovable Grey Beard Biker enjoys immensely. DODGING THE ROADKILL
W
LOSING MY MOJO By Hank Bonecutter
hen I had my accident last year, it took me several weeks to recover from my leg injury, and it took several more weeks after that to get back on my motorcycle.
For the first couple of weeks I was back in the “saddle” I was tentative and apprehensive. I was a different biker for a while, until I could get my “mojo” back. If we’re honest, I would venture a guess that this has happened to all of you at one time or another. Maybe when you dropped your bike, or you had an accident, or maybe you had a “close call” and you lived to tell the tale. Whatever it was, it’s not a real good feeling and you start second guessing yourself. This past weekend, while in the Smoky Mountains, the weather was not the best. We had a great first day of riding, and on the second day, we managed to get about 7 hours of good road time before the rains set in. Colder temperatures and slick riding conditions were in front of us. There were forecasts of 40-80% chances of rain, but we were hoping for the best. On Saturday morning, it was cloudy, but no rain as we took off for Helen, Georgia. To get there, we were going to ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Normally on a good day, this is one of the most beautiful and invigorating rides, with sweeping turns and elevation changes that we all live for. With the rain the night before, there were wet leaves everywhere and while we were both conscious of that, they were out there so caution was the order of the day. As we climbed the mountain, we rode into a fog that was SO thick, I could only see a couple of feet ahead of me. Now, we’ve all ridden through fog but this was different. We were coming down the mountain, it was wet, and the leaves were in every corner. I felt like I was riding on a sheet of ice. There was no sense in pulling off the road, besides, I could see where to go anyway. So the two of us kept riding, being careful along the way. Jay wasn’t having any problems, so I was doing something wrong or my tires were slick. Then, as I took a corner, in second gear mind you, I slid out into the oncoming lanes and couldn’t get control of my bike for a few feet. I just knew I was going down, and just prayed there wasn’t any oncoming traffic in my way. I managed to get back in my lane, slipping a couple of more times before we came off the mountain, but I must admit, I was a little shook.
10
For the rest of the day, I just didn’t have it. Negative thoughts kept racing through my head and as I took every corner, I just wasn’t as smooth as I should have been. I told my buddy Jay that I was shook and couldn’t get my Mojo back and we both shook our heads as to why I was sliding like I did. My tires only had about 5,000 miles on them, so I didn’t think my tires were the cause, but as always, I have to take responsibility for my skills and just have to realize that I was probably going too fast when I slid. Maybe a combination of bad braking, or “pilot error” but it was on me. Regardless of why, it’s an uneasy feeling to be nervous at every turn. On our way home, a ride through the Devil’s Triangle didn’t do much to boost my confidence as it was littered with leaves and debris, but, “suck it up Buttercup” and move on! You can’t do this with ANY lack of confidence. Trust your skills and trust your bike. Now, where we going tomorrow?

oretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills held its 3rd Annual Tennessee Motorcycles and Music Revival over the October 10-13 weekend. There were camping, glamping, and RV spaces available on site, as well as motels nearby and tent camping was free. As its name implies, the event had lots of music, bike shows, thrill shows, vendors, a food court, flat track events, and bikes. The venue had several stages with bands playing into the night. Twentyfive bands, headlined by Tim Montana and The Cadillac Three on Friday and Saturday nights respectively played throughout the event. Although Loretta was unable to appear, her granddaughter, Tayla, performed several times. For the more destructive, there was the Royal Range Machinegun Shoot. The bikers enjoyed Rhett Rotten riding the Wall of Death on his 1927 Indian with several daily shows. This is

actually a dangerous activity at which several riders have been injured and even killed. Becky Hart’s, former Boswell’s Harley employee, father was killed when his engine died and the bike fell on him. After each of Rotten’s shows, on the adjacent field, two daredevil FMX Freestyle Stunt Jumpers showed off their aerial tricks before landing on an inflated ramp. These guys had real skills and a lot more guts than me. Thunder Roads Magazine Tennessee/Kentucky, along with Bikers Who Care sponsored a bike show. Despite the rain, the Loretta’s Roadhouse venue was filled with bikes. Unfortunately, the owner’s name for the beautiful red and gold metalflake Harley, which won all of the trophies except Best Paint and I understand he was a close 2nd place for that was lost when an automatic update by Microsoft crashed

Hagler was selected from the nominees of the various bike clubs at Ft Campbell as most deserving. This is one of the ways that Appleton H-D shows their appreciation to the soldiers at the base. The kids were allowed to ride on the flat track and had a ball. There were even kid’s races before the Hillbilly Hooligans and Run What Ya Brung races started. Alex Bumpus McDonald and husband Josh represented Bumpus Harley-Davidson, and Hammer and Big Byrd represented Boswell’s HarleyDavidson. Truman McDonald rocked a Harley IRONe around the track in the kid’s races while little sister, InaMai, rode a balance bike. This event had something for everyone, great music, beautiful (and not so beautiful) bikes, food, adult beverages, demo rides, thrill shows, racing, and even machineguns. nce again this year, Bumpus Harley-Davidson of Murfreesboro teamed up with singer-songwriter, Darryl Worley to raise money for Worley’s West Tennessee charity. Worley holds several annual fundraisers, highlighted by his Tennessee River Run to raise money for his cancer hospital as well as other health related charities. The Bumpus family has been a strong supporter of his efforts. On October 15th, Worley brought three of his fellow songwriters, William Michael Morgan, Trent Willmon and Lance Miller to Murfreesboro for a night of music to a sold out crowd at the dealership. Also, a buffet dinner was catered by Rowdy Ranch House. Worley performed hits including: Whiskey Makes Me Think About You, Second Wind, Everybody Whistle Dixie, I Miss My Friend, and, of course, Have You Forgotten. When he sings Have You Forgotten, the crowd still stands in memory of those lost on 9/11. Morgan’s songs included:

I Met a Girl, Seven Spanish Angels, Cowboy Cool, and So You Can’t Hurt Me Anymore. Miller’s included: Monday Morning World, If I Could Have a Beer with Jesus, and Can’t Hurt a Man. Willmon performed his first number 1 hit, Back When I Knew It All, as well as, Nothing On You, Keep on Loving You, and On Again Tonight. Quite a night of good music by the guys who wrote the songs. The silent auction which is always a popular part of the night raised about $14,000 with a guitar signed by Songwriter of the Decade, Chris Stapleton bringing $3,600 and a VIP Pass to the US Open going for $2,300, topping the sales. Contact Angie Bumpus to join the crowd next year. It is always a fun night of music. Ride Safe and Have Fun!! Cooper December 2019

MT. VERNON
Mt. Vernon is located on the Potomac River near Alexandria VA, and was the home of General George Washington until his death in 1799. It was a working plantation, with 300 enslaved plus many free workers needed to keep it in operation. Less than half of the slaves were owned by Washington, while 153 were part of Martha’s dowry and others were rented. Martha freed his slaves in 1801, in accordance with his will. Of the original 8,000 acres, 500 remain around the home site. Besides the wooden house originally built by his father, Augustine, the grounds have beautiful gardens, a distillery, mill, blacksmith shop, smokehouse, stables, and other features necessary for an operating plantation in the 1700’s. His father built the original house in about 1734 and Gen. Washington expanded it in the 1750’s and 1770’s. He expanded the house from a single story home to the 11,028 sq. ft. home we see today, with 21 rooms, of which 14 are available for tours. The exterior is wood made to look like stone. Timed tickets are sold to the public for touring the house. Tours were even allowed by Washington, who welcomed “any sober or orderly persons gratifying their curiosity in viewing the buildings, gardens, etc.” Unfortunately, photography is not allowed in the home. Also, expect busloads of school children to be on tour. Fortunately, tickets sold to the public are for times after the children are finished, not in the middle of. Of note are the men’s bunk room, where the workers lived, the three station “Necessary” (privy), the overseer’s quarters, the operating blacksmith shop, shoemaker’s shop, and the ornate gardens. There was also a wood heated greenhouse. Washington and his wife are buried, on the grounds, in a mausoleum designed by Washington. A Laying of the Wreath ceremony is held daily. Luckily, Mt. Vernon avoided the damage inflicted on most plantations during the Civil War. Today it stands as a monument to the Father of Our Country, for all to enjoy. Ride Safe and Have Fun!! Cooper 22

MOTORCYCLE FATALITIES DECLINE, DESPITE INCREASED OWNERSHIP For the second straight year, nationwide motorcycle fatalities declined, in spite of a record number of motorcycles in usage across the United States. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recently released their 2018 motor vehicle fatality report, reflecting a 4.7% reduction in motorcyclist deaths from 2017 to 2018. Meanwhile, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC), a record 12,231,000 motorcycles were in use in the U.S., up more than 2 million from 2014, the last year of their ownership survey, and that American households owning motorcycles rose from 6.94% in 2014 to a record 8.02% last year (10,124,400 homes), an increase of more than 1.5 million homes. Overall, motor vehicle crashes went down 2.4%, though vehicle miles traveled (VMT) were up. WORLDWIDE MOTORCYCLE SALES PROJECTED TO INCREASE The annual global demand for motorcycles, including electricallypowered machines, was forecast by market researcher Freedonia Group to expand 4.4% per annum through 2022 to 121.5 million units, when industry revenues were projected to reach $120 billion ($10.8 billion in the US). The Asia/Pacific region, which predominantly utilizes small and inexpensive motorcycles, will continue to dominate demand, representing 84% of all units sold in 2016. E-bikes will account for the overwhelming majority of new electric product demand, as they continue to capture market share from conventional motorcycles and bicycles. Both developed and industrialized nations are expected to register strong growth as the availability of reliable electric models increases. The lower upfront and operating costs and environmental credentials of these machines – compared to ICE (internal combustion engine) motorcycles – also enhances their appeal.
South Korea, Taiwan, the EU auto market nations of Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal, as well as Costa Rica in Central America. PETITION DRIVE TO BAN BLINDING HEADLIGHTS A “Ban Blinding Headlights and Save Lives” online petition has been set up by the National Motorists Association (NMA) to lobby the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, its parent organization, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Congress to “ban all blue-light technologies on vehicles and to keep tail-lights, brake-lights and turn signals to a maximum brightness no greater than that allowed for traffic signals.” More than 9,400 people who are concerned about the safety effect caused by the glare of overly bright headlights, taillights, and other exterior vehicle indicator lights, have already signed the petition at Change.org. Organizers have set a goal of obtaining over 10,000 signatures. MOTORCYCLE CLUB HELPS SCHOOL DRIVERLESS CARS Self-driving cars are already being tested and developed on public roads, but one of the frequent criticisms of the technology is its lack of ability to spot motorcyclists. Motorcycles are comparatively rare on the roads, so self-driving vehicles don’t get sufficient exposure to them. Aurora is an autonomous vehicle technology company that is developing the software and sensor tech that will underpin a lot of autonomous vehicles in the future, and they’ve adopted a unique approach to the motorcycle problem. Aurora’s perception team devoted a machine-learning day to teach their driverless machines to become more familiar around this specific vehicle type by utilizing volunteers from the San Francisco chapter of the Iron Order MC to ride around their test car on a variety of motorcycles, performing regular traffic maneuvers. Their data team then collected specific information from a variety of scenarios that autonomous cars are likely to encounter in the real world, and that data will be used to predict and react to future scenarios on the road. The day-long test will now be used as a baseline for motorcycle detection within the Artificial Intelligence systems in Aurora’s self-driving technology. Ultimately, the system will be able to detect and recognize different styles of motorcycles and identify the difference between a cruiser and a sport bike. That’s important when it comes to predicting and managing closing speeds, merging patterns, and braking. Self-driving vehicles are the future of transportation, so it’s important that autonomous technology “learn” how to interact with motorcycles in order to Share the Road safely. AUTOMATED LICENSE PLATE READERS UNDER FIRE
Governments around the world at both the national and local levels will continue to support the transition toward e-bikes through subsidies and tax breaks, ride-sharing programs, and additional investment in the public charging infrastructure.
A motorist recently won a legal decision involving the city where he lives violating his Constitutional rights in a ruling that could have major privacy rights implications for drivers.
About a dozen countries and about 20 cities around the world have proposed banning the future sale of vehicles powered by fossil fuels within the next two decades, including India, China (the largest auto market globally), Japan (the third largest auto market globally),
Coral Gables, Florida resident Raul Mas Canosa sued the city over its penchant for surveilling its citizens with automated license plate readers or ALPRs. He had not been arrested nor even suspected of a crime, but was upset about having his car

tracked all over town with the city monitoring and recording his vehicle’s movements. Coral Gables began its ALPR program in 2015 and now has 30 recorders around town including surveillance of an adjacent section of Interstate 95. In 2018, the electronic devices captured the data of 30 million individual license plates, which it retains on file for three years as prescribed under Florida law. Mas Canosa filed suit against the city for violating his Fourth Amendment rights against search and seizure without probable cause. Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge Abby Cynamon rejected the city attorney’s attempt to have the anti-camera lawsuit dismissed outright on the grounds that motorists have no expectation of privacy and that Mas Canosa, in particular, was not harmed because he was not the subject of an investigation. In finding favorably on the plaintiff’s behalf, Judge Cynamon agreed with Mas Canosa’s argument that Coral Gable’s use of ALPRs might indeed violate state privacy laws: “This court finds that there is a bona fide, actual, present and practical need for a declaration as to whether the collection of such information violates the plaintiff’s privacy rights,” the judge ruled, adding that “There is nothing abstract, conjectural or ephemeral about the claim since the city has and continues to collect such information about the plaintiff’s vehicle.” Having won the first round of his legal battle, Mas Canosa can now move forward with suing the city, seeking to have the data collected be immediately discarded if there’s no probable cause. MAN SUES TOWN FOR REVOKING HIS CARRY PERMIT BASED ON MC AFFILIATION A Rhode Island man is accusing the town of Burrillville, RI of violating his Constitutional rights by revoking his permit to carry a concealed weapon based on his alleged affiliation with “biker gang members.” According to the Providence Journal, Pedro Alvarez Jr. has sued the town, local police and others in U.S. District Court, alleging that they violated his right to bear arms, due process rights, December 2019
and First Amendment right to free association by revoking his permit based on photographs posted on his Facebook page that showed him socializing with members of the Thug Riders and Pagan motorcycle clubs. Alvarez insists that he has “never been a member or associate of any motorcycle gang and has never been charged with a crime.” At the time of the revocation, in June 2018, Alvarez was a U.S. Army recruit slated to attend basic training to become a military police officer -- a post that he currently holds with the Rhode Island National Guard, according to his lawsuit. Alvarez alleges that the revocation limits his employment opportunities and the security clearances he can obtain. He is seeking unspecified damages and the reinstatement of his permit. POW/MIA FLAG ACT SIGNED INTO LAW On November 8, 2019, just in time for Veterans Day, President Donald Trump signed the National POW/MIA Flag Act into law; a bipartisan bill to require the POW/MIA Flag be displayed whenever the American flag is displayed on prominent federal properties to honor the more than 82,000 Americans who are listed as Prisoners of War (POW), Missing in Action (MIA), or otherwise unaccounted for from our nation's past wars and conflicts. “The flag is a steadfast reminder to the families of our missing and the public that our government has not forgotten those who did not come home,” said Rolling Thunder, Inc. National, which endorsed the measure, and Artie Muller, who co-founded the nonprofit POW/MIA service group in 1987 told The Washington Times, ““I want to thank Congress for passing the bipartisan National POW/MIA Flag Act, which will require the POW/MIA flag to be displayed alongside the American flag at federal buildings and memorials.” QUOTABLE QUOTE: "Never forget that everything Hitler did in Germany was legal.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-68) civil rights leader

When four of Santa’s elves got sick, the trainee elves did not produce toys as fast as the regular ones, and Santa began to feel the tremendous Christmas pressure. Then, Mrs. Clause told Santa her Mother was coming to visit, which stressed Santa even more. He went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two others had jumped the fence and were out, Heaven only knows where. When he began to load the sleigh, one of the floorboards cracked, the toy bag fell to the ground and all the toys were scattered. Frustrated, Santa went in the house for a glass of cider and a shot of rum. In his frustration, he accidentally dropped the cider jug, and it broke into hundreds of little glass pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found the mice had eaten all the straw off the end of the broom. Just then the doorbell rang, and an irritated Santa marched to the door, yanked it open, and there stood a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. The Angel said very cheerfully, ‘Merry Christmas, Santa. Isn’t this a lovely day? I have a beautiful tree for you. Where would you like me to stick it?’ And so began the tradition of the little Angel on top of the Christmas tree. -------------------------------------------------------------A local Farmer decided he wanted to go to town and see a Christmas movie he’d been waiting on. The ticket agent asked, ‘sir, what’s that on your shoulder?’ The old farmer replied, ‘that’s my pet rooster, Chuck. Wherever I go, Chuck goes.’ ‘I’m sorry sir,’ replied the ticket agent, ‘we can’t allow animals in the theater.’ The old farmer went around the corner and stuffed Chuck down his bib overalls. Then he returned to the booth, bought his ticket and went on in. He sat down next to two old widows named Mildred and Marge. The movie started and the rooster began to squirm around in the farmer’s overalls. The farmer zipped down his fly so Chuck could stick his head out and quit being so dang antsy. ‘Marge’, whispered Mildred. ‘What?’, said Marge. ‘I think the guy next to me is a pervert.’ ‘What makes you think so?’ asks Marge. ‘He undid his pants and he has his thing just hanging out’, whispered Mildred. ‘Well, don’t worry about it’, says Marge. ‘At our age, we’ve seen them all.’ Mildred exclaims, ‘I thought that too, but this one’s eatin’ my dang popcorn!’ 26
Husband is walking behind his wife and says, ‘Your butt is getting so big it looks like an old washing machine on wash cycle when you’re walking. The woman keeps quiet and keeps walking. Bedtime comes around and the husband starts feeling frisky. Wife says, ‘Oh no buddy. I’m not about to start up this old washing machine for such a really small load. You’ll have to do that load by hand’. --------------------------------------------------------------A Dad was reading ‘The Night Before Christmas’ to his son and the little boy asked, ‘Dad, when you and Mom fuss, you always put your hands to each side of your head and scream, ‘Women, will anyone ever figure them out?’. ‘What does that mean, Dad?’ The Dad looks at his son so precious and naive and says, ‘Mom and I have read you the story of ‘The Three Wise Men’, right?. The little boy shakes his head in agreement. Well, my son, the day that you understand Why? a pizza is made round, to be put in a square box, and is then eaten in triangles, then You, my most beloved son, will be able to understand women....and in doing so, will become the Fourth Wise Man. --------------------------------------------------------------You know that age old saying, ‘You never appreciate what you have till it’s gone?’. Toilet paper is a prime example of that saying. --------------------------------------------------------------When I see rich, snooty women gossiping at the grocery store, I walk right up cool as can be and act like I’m looking all around for something and say, ‘Excuse me, you work here right?’. You know, just to keep things real and all. --------------------------------------------------------------I’ve been using an empty Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup bottle as a water bottle at the gym. I just love all the judgmental looks I get as I take a big ole’ swig while on the treadmill. --------------------------------------------------------------The Teacher was lecturing to her 4th grade class on how even texting today, it was still important to use proper punctuation and spelling. Lil’ Joey waves his hand and the Teacher reluctantly calls on him. Lil’ Joey excitedly says, ‘Yeah, bad spelling and punctuation cost my cousin his marriage’. ‘Oh, really, says the Teacher. Please do tell.’ ‘Well, he was on a business trip in Las Vegas and my Aunt got this text like at 4:00 o’clock in the morning and it read: ‘Not to worry now gambling wow do I wish that you were her.

Dear Fellow Veterans and Patriots of Tennessee and Kentucky: Merry Christmas!!! The follow on to that is “Happy New Year” and I am certainly looking forward to 2020 and election day in November when we elect our next President for four years. Those of you who are regular readers of my column know I have expounded on how lying, cheating and corruption seem to be more common place and accepted as a part of our daily existence. We have watched over the years as Bill Clinton looked us in the eye on national TV and told us he didn’t have sex with Monica Lewinski and our politicians and the media struggled over the meaning of what “is” is. We’ve heard politicians tell us “No New Taxes.” “I tried it but didn’t inhale.” “Your cost won’t go up and you’ll be able to keep your doctor.” Up until the Obama administration we had trust in the FBI, CIA, Department of Defense and the NSA. However, when he took office, he began moving much of the leadership of those organizations out and replacing them with people who would help him undermine the United States Constitution, convert our nation to socialism, minimize Christianity and make government more powerful. As the election in 2016 got closer we saw how far his “crew” would go to ensure a follow-on Presidency of Hillary Clinton and what would have certainly been the cover-up of their illegal acts to keep Donald Trump from becoming President. I have been amazed at the “Never Trumper” Republicans who assist the Democrats and the media in trying to remove him from office. I’m appalled that the American people have been so hypnotized by the media, celebrities and public education that they elected a Democrat controlled congress to continue the biggest criminal overthrow and coup in American history. This effort is Marxist funded by George Soros and others. It is supported by communists, socialists and jihadis around the world. They want to see America brought to its knees and a world dominated by a dictatorial political class that will remove individual freedom from the masses. The key to all of this is lying,
corruption and criminal conspiracy on a world-wide scale. I can only imagine what life would be like if Donald Trump had not been elected. Imagine being regulated by more powerful government agencies populated with more deep state fanatics, Marxists and subversives. The second amendment and our constitution would be on life support. Why do you think the Democrat controlled congress is fighting so hard to keep the borders open? Could it be money from the drug cartels? Could it be manipulating elections with illegal voters in sanctuary cities and states? Do you have any idea what happens when corrupt people in politics team up with hard core criminals? Have you looked at what the drug cartels are doing in Mexico? They have subverted the Mexican government and are running rampant. They kill, burn and dismember as many as 100 people a day. They wipe out squads of Mexican police at will and get their people released from custody with overwhelming force. Does anyone think we’re immune from this playing out in the United States of America if nobody is willing to stand up against it? Who is trying to drain the swamp and who is trying to stop him? Who undermined the American economy for 8 years and who turned it around in less than 2 years? Congress has already insulated themselves from punishment for things common American’s go to jail for. They can do insider trading in the stock market based on information they get as congressmen. They have golden benefits and retirement pay for only a couple of years in congress. No congressman leaves congress poorer than they were when they got elected. We are being undermined by corruption on many fronts. If the American people don’t rise up against the Marxists, drug cartels, teacher’s unions and subversives like George Soros our children will be living under iron fisted rule like people in third world countries. America is the hope of the world and freedom is not free. Merry Christmas!!! Keep the faith. Thank a vet for the freedoms we still enjoy and support politicians who will bring back the ones we’ve lost. Fly the flag of the people and be proud you’re an American. Hug the families of those still missing because their quest for closure has not ended. Live the good life and ride for those who can’t.
