In October 2017, Whyalla resident Eric Parsons, Founder of the Association for the Response to and Science of Extraterrestrials (ARSE) uncovered the Government’s biggest secret: the presence of Alien life in South Australia.

Through his contacts on the inside, Eric and his fellow ARSE members were able to access the Government’s Alien Research Centre, Area 53. While inside, Eric found evidence of Extraterrestrial life that the Government has been hiding for decades. Now, with the help of unARThed Whyalla, Eric has, once again, found away to get inside Area 53. Do you want to know what’s inside? Join us on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 March to find out. A Windmill Theatre Co and State Theatre Company South Australia production captured live by Australian National Theatre Live. A new Australian family musical for the young and the young at heart don’t miss this production from Windmill Theatre Co and State Theatre Company SA. Spinning straw into gold is a party trick that will take you far. It can buy you a big house full of beautiful things, a wardrobe of designer clothes and a life of total luxury, but money, as they say, can’t buy you... Two people, once best friends, torn apart by desire for the things they cannot have – this is the story of the ultimate price of greed. 10

Presented by The Whyalla Youth Advisory Committe (YAC) and Events to Activate. TIPS FOR HAVING A GREAT DAY • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing • Bring a water bottle • Leave pets at home • Slip, slop, slap • Register beforehand & attend the briefing at 3.45pm THE EVENT You don’t need to be an Olympic athlete to participate in the Rainbow Run. The Rainbow Run is all about a colour crazy day with friends and family. You can run, walk, crawl, or cartwheel it if you wish! The Rainbow Run is not a timed event. Runners tend to take their sweet time out on the course and we realise no one really cares about their speed; we’re all here to have a good time. We will have white clothing police inspectors located throughout the event. You will be arrested and put in the Rainbow Run jail if more than 11.8% of your person is a hue other than white. JUST KIDDING. As long as runners wear shirts that are mostly white, you are sure to have a great time. It’s so much fun to start the Rainbow Run in white and end it looking, well…. COLOURIFFIC! The Rainbow Run is a great event to capture fantastic photos for your memories, Instagram, or Facebook page. We welcome anyone to photograph or film at our event for PERSONAL use only. For wheelchair users, our course is run on a variety of surfaces including sealed and unsealed and grass, where possible we suggest an all-terrain wheelchair should be used or bring a friend along who will be able to help you through more tricky parts of the course. Due to safety reasons bikes, scooters and skateboards are prohibited to be used during the Rainbow Run. Dogs or any other pet/animal are not permitted to be present at the Rainbow Run. Rainbow Runners are encouraged to a bottle of water with them to keep hydrated. THE COLOUR The coloured powder we use is made from corn-flour and natural food dyes. While the ingredients are all natural, we suggest you leave your designer gear at home! Only wear what you’re willing to get colourful. The coloured powder does wash out of your hair, however we do recommend you take precautions if you’re worried! The colour does tend to stick to lighter hair… Blondes you are warned! Oiling your hair before the run will help the colour wash out. If you’re having trouble washing it after the event, bi-carb soda and anti-dandruff shampoo will help get the more stubborn colour out! We do not take any responsibility for additional costs associated with the removal of colour. The colour may stain your clothes so as we have said, don’t wear your best gear! The Rainbow Run explosions are basically food grade cornflour and are 100 per cent natural and safe. As with any substance, you want to keep it out of your eyes and our ‘certified’ colour throwers make sure to aim low as you pass by. If you’re worried about getting the powder in your eyes, you can wear glasses or goggles, or use a bandana or dust mask to cover your mouth. In summary: we work pretty hard to make it so our precious Rainbow Runners get as much or as little colour on them as they like. We advise asthmatics carry their puffers. www.whyalla.com/unearthfestival 27
