The Migration Institute of Finland has organized Migration Symposia every five years. In this Symposia director Tuomas Martikainen gave an overview of the Migration Institute’s activities. Professor Emeritus Patrick Manning, then provided interesting and extensive insights on “Migration in World History”. Senior Research Fellow Timothy Heleniak, elaborated on the development of migration in the Nordic countries. The articles produced for the report are in their original language.
