FRESH EGGS NOURISH THE MIND
AWSUM verjaar en ons word 7! FlySafair partners with Die wêreld van skoolnuus AWSUM as exclusive flight verander na ‘n kreatiewe partner to schools in SA omgewing Considering that Safair is one of South Africa’s busiest airlines, your school can now also benefit from income derived through flight bookings. AWSUM has negotiated that a percentage of all online booking sales be paid to participating schools. “If you look at the values the companies have in common, the partnership makes perfect sense,” said Durandt van Zyl, CEO of TieMedia. “Both AWSUM and FlySafair have a cost saving strategy and both have a real commitment to innovation. I’m confident we’ve come up with something very special,” said van Zyl. The centrepiece of the marketing drive will be the AWSUM App for Schools – a perfect tool to house all your communication channels (news, notifications, academic, cultural, sporting info, website and social media links and even home to your parent portal platforms such as Ed-Admin or other database links). By working closely with FlySafair, we’ve designed a system perfectly adapted to the school environment, and one which will deliver additional income to the school. Schools can promote flights in line with upcoming tournaments and encourage parents to book their flights through the school. Parents are now able to book flights through the app and the school earn commission from these bookings. We will communicate this new benefit to your parents via our network of channels as well as provide you with communication material to put on your own school networks. The AWSUM App provides schools with an opportunity to generate substantial unlimited monthly income which is desperately needed in the South African educational system. Read more on the School App here: https://www.awsum.co.za/awsum-mobile-app-for-schools If you have any questions, please send an email to awsumnews@tiemedia.co.za.

Choir Workshop The Choir Workshop was in preparation for the upcoming Port Rex Lions Music Eisteddfod 2019. The choir will be performing at 13:00 on Wednesday, 01 May 2019. We went through our performance repertoire for Eisteddfod. We had the honor of having Mr. Eugene Gouws, Music Teacher from Hudson Park High School come and show the choir a few valuable tips on choral singing. This was a successful day for the choir. We managed to have workshops on Choral music and we managed to get through all our music for Eisteddfod by polishing up notes. The most important aim for this workshop was that we create one unified sound and this workshop allowed us to spend the time to find our sound as a choir.
