Welcome message from
Glenwood High School A warm welcome to the Headmaster, Staff and Boys of Durban High School, as well as all Old Boys, visitors, guests and all members of the Glenwood Community. The fixture against DHS is one of the highlights on the Glenwood Rugby Calendar. Long may the relationship continue. It would be remiss of me not to thank our committed staff, parents, supporters and Old Boys for their continued support for, and commitment to Glenwood High School. Enjoy your time here today and travel home safely. Dr A Barnes Principal

Most memorable moment on the field? Scoring from set-plays in a game is the best feeling ever. Getting awarded for the training in the week. Hobbies outside of rugby? Dancing and singing. How are your pre-season preparations going? Very good. The boys are really starting to gel. We are finally getting our fundamentals right and executing the way we want to play. Why did you decide to come to school Glenwood High School? For a better opportunity and to be a better person - not just a better rugby player. Glenwood has fully succeeded with that. What makes it special to run out for your first team? The legacy you face as a Glenwood 1st XV player. Because you know there were many more before you. Obviously the boys egging you on from the stands. What’s your favourite position? 15 (Fullback). Who is the joker in the team and why? Katlego Thinyane. Who is the gym bomb in the team? Bani Holtzhausen. What motivates you on Saturdays to give your best? To play for my family, which is on the field with me and not letting them down. Is there someone special watching you on game day and if so, what is her/his name? Mom, dad and God. I firmly believe that these are the people that gave me my talents. Best moment after a game? Beating Affies at Affies, 2018. Seeing our school running on the field after the game and Affies supporters disappeared quickly. Who was your matric hero when you were Gr. 8 and Gr. 9? Didn’t really have one.
