LION VISION

20 20

Higher education is probably the most important investment a family can make not only financially, but emotionally. Here at Georgian Court University, we understand that because we invest in our students. It’s a partnership that we make together—a commitment to our students’ futures. At Georgian Court, we have your back, whether you are the parent of a first-generation student or a student yourself. Our safe and secure main campus is located, not in Georgia, but in Central New Jersey between New York and Philadelphia, only minutes from the Jersey Shore. Our satellite locations and online courses provide many other options for students to pursue their future. We are the Georgian Court Lions, and we’ve got 2020 vision this year— Lion Vision. Lion Vision is the added value of Georgian Court University. We see something so special in your student that it makes us want to invest in their education . . . and in their quest to change the world.

This is our Lion Vision for our students.

With comprehensive financial aid for 99% of undergraduates, Georgian Court invests in students. We commit to them and their success. Georgian Court supports students as they prepare to change our world for the better.

Georgian Court Lions are going places... From dance major to owning a dance company

I believe my current blessings are because of the supportive community that exists at Georgian Court. I know my education there was unique and led me closer to myself. Ama Gora ’17 Dance

From nursing school to caring for patients as a registered nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health at Jersey Shore University Medical Center

The faculty was knowledgeable and so caring toward each student. They went out of their way to be sure everyone felt comfortable in every subject. They make sure no one feels left behind. Amanda Spengler, RN, ’15 Nursing

helping the world,

From biology major to working at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection

For a small school, Georgian Court has a strong science program. As a biology major with close relationships with my professors, I had a lot of support when applying for internships and jobs. I am now working for the State of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection, working in plant and tree assessment. Brint Barker ’20 Biology

expanding business possibilities, From psychology major to assistant buyer at Burlington Stores

I was able to nail my Burlington internship by building my résumé beyond my retail experience. My time at Georgian Court broadened my experience beyond the conventional education. Lisa Milburn ’19 Psychology

exploring new horizons in science, From chemistry undergraduate to earning to a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Boston University, performing postdoctoral research at Brandeis University, and working as a protein biochemist at a company creating a sustainable alternative to traditional pesticides

It’s important to highlight that at Georgian Court, you have a lot of opportunities to do really great things, even if you don’t know exactly what you want. It was the best route for me— someone who’s very curious and likes to be challenged. The experience was great and has started me on this path where I can make impactful contributions to science. Kimberly Rizzolo, Ph.D., ’12 Chemistry

Presenting undergraduate research at the Gamma Sigma Epsilon National Chemistry Honor Society Convention in North Carolina and being accepted to not one, but two, medical schools

One thing that I didn’t expect from Georgian Court is how much it changed me as a person. I came in pretty clueless about who I was or where I was going in life. But being involved at Georgian Court with the Mercy Collegiate Society, the clubs and the people here, I really grew as a person, becoming— in my opinion—a better person. Clement Rajakumar ’20 Biochemistry

keeping us safe, Working with the Toms River Police Department while studying accounting

Always have a ‘why’—a list of goals or future positions that you want that drives you to just keep accomplishing your goals. The stronger the ‘why,’ the easier the ‘how.’ Javier Lopez ’21 Accounting
