THIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY IS DEDICATED
TO TIFFANY’S LATE MOTHER LA BELLE PEGGY ELAINE MCCALL.
T
iffany’s International Fashion Story by Tiffany McCall celebrates 20 years in the international fashion industry since 2000 and it is a lifetime ambition to continue this global childhood dream. With this autobiography, Tiffany hopes to inspire other young and established international designers, models, artists, and musicians to pursue their lifelong aspirations. Tiffany McCall started her career in the USA 20 years ago in 2000. From there she expanded to London and eventually, became an international success. The decision was made to write an intimate and informative autobiography about the Tiffany McCall Couture Brand. The book is separated into chapters representing Tiffany’s fashion studies and life, and how she got started in New York, London, Paris, Cannes, Monaco, and Dubai. The autobiography continues with her professional experiences as a Fashion Advisor and magazine partner, around the world. Tiffany’s experiences have taken place at top fashion events in the world’s most exclusive 5-star hotel ballrooms, castles, and on the Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet, home to legendary celebrities and stars of the cinema and fashion world. There are many endeavours to discover, laugh, cry, and rejoice about. Of course, there are celebrity encounters and lots of industry secrets to decode!! The book has been written and laid out

inverse, thus you will have to read the end of the book leading up to the beginning to discover the very beginning of Tiffany’s career in New York in the year 2000. For the more intellectually challenged minds reading the biography from beginning to end has its rewards as well. This autobiography is dedicated to Tiffany’s late mother, la belle Peggy Elaine McCall, who encouraged her and motivated her to follow her dreams and career. Tiffany also dedicates her life and career to the late David Herring, CFO of the Tiffany McCall Couture Brand and Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks. David Herring was also a mentor and Christian advisor for Tiffany McCall since the beginning of the brand. Without the unconditional love and praise from her mother, family, and associates this autobiography would not tell the same story. Tiffany McCall simply had the opportunity of a lifetime, to live her fashion dreams globally, and succeed at it. Success is not always of monetary value but is the accomplishments of one’s heart and greatest wishes that are allowed to blossom. Therefore, this book is to tell you the story of this blessed journey that God graced Tiffany’s life with. Tiffany hopes this autobiography will motivate anyone looking for inspiration, hope, belief, courage, strength, and God’s good grace or simply to live a better and healthier life while helping others.

Since 2015, Tiffany McCall, the founder of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris, has collaborated with the French magazine Emma Mag of La Réunion Island, France. Founder José Garjah of Emma Mag and the Miss Réunion Comité invited the beautiful winners of Miss Réunion Island to walk on the catwalk at all of Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks worldwide. They are rare beauties and are often selected to be candidates in the Miss France Beauty Competition and they usually do very well in the competition. We are delighted to have such original beauty, ethnicity, and diversity at Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks international. Morgane Soucramanien was a pure jewel as she strutted on the catwalk like a princess. She wore the haute couture wedding gown by celebrity designer Alessandro Angelozzi of Italy. He also designed and offered Tiffany McCall this custom-made Cinderella gown made of thousands of ostrich feathers! Truly an haute couture gown for the Master of the Ceremony, Tiffany McCall. Her very special season 10 of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris was a childhood dream come true for Tiffany McCall. Now, it feels good celebrating 20 years in the international fashion industry. French Model/Ballet Dancer Eléonore Grimbert-Barre Discovered By Tiffany McCall In Cannes In 2014
Ooh là là!! Ma Belle Paris!!! As Audrey Hepburn says, in Sabrina, ‘Paris is always a good idea!’ In 2009, after finishing my fashion and international marketing studies in London, England. I pursued my childhood dream to live in Paris. During my time in England, I worked for a top fashion house in Chelsea, London where I was hired as an Assistant Manager at the Crave Fashion Boutique (a chic boutique for pregnant women and celebrities).
PARIS IS
After my senior year, everything was going well. In 2005, I was selling my collection in a concept store on Carnaby Street at London’s Fashion Forum Boutique for young designers.
ALWAYS A
GOOD IDEA!
All of the designers shared the boutique and paid weekly fees to showcase their collections. I also worked at the boutique one day a week. While I was working as an assistant manager at the Crave Fashion Boutique, my dear friend, Carmela Barbachano kindly managed my collection at the boutique.
appreciate everything she did for me, as well as our 20 years of friendship. I simply cannot wait to have her as one of my VIP guests at one of my future events. I was happy with my life and work in London when I received a telephone call from a former fashion teacher in London that would change everything. He knew that I always wanted to live in Paris. He explained that there was a job offer for a fashion English teacher at renowned fashion houses in Paris. The position was to teach Fashion and Business in English to fashion employees at high-end boutiques, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Hermès, Ferragamo, and Cartier, as well as others. He asked me if I would be interested in the position and if I would be willing to relocate to Paris. Being my lifelong dream, of course, I accepted without hesitation. It would be an exciting new chapter in my life and even though I was happy with my job and accomplishments in London, I felt that Paris was a new opportunity for me and my career. After I spoke to my mother and business partner about the news, they were both delighted for me, so I accepted the position despite the risks and moved to Paris.
Such a lovely and classy lady! I remember she would show up at the boutique dressed in a Coco Chanel suit, complemented with pearls and matching jewellery.
In the beginning, I was always a bit uncertain about the risk of leaving everything behind that I had built in London over the last decade, including my brand and management career that had developed nicely, as well as learning a completely new language.
Her advice to me was to wear the best outfits that represented my brand, Tiffany. She truly believed that I would succeed in the fashion world and wanted to help me accomplish that.
But this was my childhood dream, launching my brand in France and living in Paris like Coco Chanel and Christian Dior. This was an opportunity that does not come around often.
Even though we live in different countries now and our work paths are demanding, we have remained good friends. To this day, I still

and moved to Paris. With a vast amount of experience in the business and a foundation in fashion, I had the best opportunity to launch my fashion brand. My business partner and I prepared a budget and organised everything for me to start my new life in Paris. I enrolled in the legendary La Sorbonne University, home to Victor Hugo, Simone de Beauvoir, and many great French philosophers where I studied French Literature and Civilisation. It was a great experience and the cultural journey of a lifetime! I studied the French language four hours a day, seven days a week. I later studied French phonetics three hours a day every other week. I had to complete weekly exams to test my knowledge and quarterly exams after each level in French. Only the strong survived these exams! They were held at Maison des Examens along with other French University exams. After each semester’s exam, the results were posted on the announcement board in the hall of the university. It was very stressful waiting for the results and if your name was not listed, you had not succeeded to the next level of French language studies. Moreover, after each failed semester, students had to pay full price for the course again, excluding housing and expenditures. After everything that my mother and business partner had invested in me and my career, failure was not an option. I could not disappoint them. I became emerged in the culture and fell in love with the language. Even though I did not understand much of the language during my first year in Paris, people would ask me something in French and I would simply say ‘oui’. In fact, this was a word I used pretty much for everything said to me during my first year in Paris. Looking back on it now, it was very funny and the obvious answer when you are learning a foreign language. I did not want to disappoint my friends and seem like I was not learning and understanding well. I studied hard for many hours each week. However, I later understood when I became a teacher myself, that the human brain simply needs time to absorb and adapt to the new skills and knowledge. Certainly, over time, I started to understand the Parisian accent and most French

people. Studying French was hard and challenging. I was working in the evenings and studying French literature and language during the day. After three years of studying, I succeeded in the superior level in French. I graduated from the renowned La Sorbonne University in St. Michel, Paris. It was the biggest milestone in my life and a great personal and professional accomplishment. Sadly, I lost my mother to a brain aneurysm a few months before my final year in studying French Literature, therefore, she was unable to attend my graduation. I would have loved to see her eyes and face as I walked up to the podium to receive my diploma. She was so proud of me and boasted to everyone that her daughter could speak French fluently. Even though I was saddened that she could not attend my graduation, I was still so grateful that I had her support and knew that she lived long enough, to watch me become a fluent French speaker. Her first child to succeed in superior French studies. At the graduation, although she was not present, I felt her spirit and presence around me. She is my guardian angel and was a natural-born cheerleader and supporter of all her children. She simply loved us all and motivated us to do our best. She always taught us to work hard, walk with great strides, and never give up on our dreams. My mother had the job of being both parents for six children, a job she had mastered so brilliantly even though we all knew that it could not have been easy. So, when the time came to receive my diploma, I held my head high as I knew that was the way she would have wanted it. My heart was beating so quickly as I walked towards the president of La Sorbonne, who personally gave each

graduate their diplomas. I was one out of 15 students to graduate. Our class started with 30 students four years before.
believe it or not, it has also been helpful to speak French in most parts of Africa and for international diplomatic relations.
As you can see it was very rare and difficult for any foreigner to reach a superior level in French Literature. Moreover, to grace the auditorium of the infamous La Sorbonne, I was only seconds away from hearing my final score in superior French language studies. I could see the president holding my diploma and smiling.
In 2011, after my language studies, I relaunched the Tiffany McCall Couture Brand in Paris with my business partner David Herring. I discovered that it was quite different from London and that new, young designers were not quite so welcomed. However, my background was fostered and empowered by fashion councils. Therefore, I did not understand the unwelcoming feeling toward new, young designers in France. In London, new and innovative ideas were welcomed and nurtured. Acceptance of cultural differences was defiantly lacking in the Parisian Fashion Industry.
I receive 80% out of 100% on my final exam and my diploma had ‘well done’ written under the score. I was beyond joy and overwhelmed with pride and relief. After the president of La Sorbonne gave me my diploma, he also kissed me on both cheeks. A gesture that is not common in traditional French graduations and he certainly did not do that to the students who received their diplomas before me. It became all the frenzy among my classmates during our graduation ceremony. At the farewell dinner, my classmates teased me the entire time about the humorous and unexpected gesture. I think that he fancied me a bit. No, I am just joking! Though Caucasian French men do appreciate women of colour and they helped me tremendously during my education and my career in Paris. I learned to speak and comprehend faster than my pronunciation skills. It was quite the journey and with time, I became a fluent French speaker. I would say to study French full time for three years in France and to become fluent is a huge accomplishment and thereafter, looking forward to a lifetime of mastering all of the French expressions and business language. Formal French language and French writing are completely different from informal French. Even some French people have difficulty spelling their own language correctly. But to this day, I still believe that French remains one of the most romantic Latin languages, and

Moreover, I was not pleased with the idea of doors being closed in my beloved Paris. Especially, after spending 5 years nonstop learning the language, teaching English, and becoming a respectful and abiding resident in France. I had gained a lot of experience in fashion show production at university in London and also had a great supportive team, so we decided to relaunch the Tiffany McCall Couture in New York as well, during fashion week. Fashion shows and fashion exhibitions were very rare and almost non-existent for young designers in Paris in 2012. Therefore, I created the Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris out of necessity, demand, and desire from our entire team. Of course, producing an international fashion show is not easy and certainly not for the faint-hearted individual. I had a competitive advantage as I studied European and International Fashion and I was taught by the leading fashion industry professionals and artists in London, England. Thus, it was almost somewhat natural to me to become the market challenger in fashion

luxury fashion show production was a different level and an entirely new beast to channel. I had so many opportunities and help from so many people, who thought I was talented, courageous, and audacious to follow my dreams. I wanted to support and encourage others to do the same. In 2013, I negotiated with the 5-star Marriott Hotel, situated on the most famous avenue in the world - La belle avenue des Champs Elysées to host my event, and Season 1 of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris was born. Seven international designers presented their collections during Paris Fashion Week in September 2013. We had four successful seasons at the Marriott Hotel and had helped many designers, models, artists, and musicians present their talents. I helped make the dreams come true for so many international designers like myself. Even though most designers were grateful for the opportunity, there are always a select few who believe they achieved their greatness all on their own. I learned to become insensitive towards the ungrateful and narcissistic behaviour that heavily poisons the fashion industry. You never know when your paths will cross again. For future events and seasons, I wanted a more royal and legendary venue, therefore, we continued the next 5 seasons at the 5-star Shangri-la Palace Eiffel Tower. This helped to compete with larger productions and to attract more influential journalists, designers, media partners, and celebrities. I had to invest more in the productions, to increase the quality of the events. It was not always easy. There has to be an equal balance of high-quality designers for the press to write about, and an elegant and legendary venue for fortunate guests to be lured to attend the fashion show. My mother always said scared money does not make money.
I took risks in my events and my talent. You have to have self-confidence and strength to survive in the very competitive fashion industry. I was always a big dreamer, set my goals high, and I have always been my hardest critic. I learned from my mistakes and I learned to put myself in the spectators’ point of view. You have to understand your audience and the sector you work in to successfully improve and advance in your career and life. I wanted to create a fashion show where designers could have their exposure and lifetime opportunities, where guests could feel seduced and pampered in luxury and amazed with the fashions and style of the show. My mother taught me about togetherness and loyalty, a value that I still hold dear today. Therefore, I wanted a fashion show where people work together for years and respect one another’s work and are loyal to their counterparts. My journey continued producing fashion shows in some of the world’s most exclusive 5-Star locations. One thing you could say about my events is they certainly are not for the cheap and that our productions never cut corners to make profits. In the beginning, I found that I often made less than the production costs. I had offered many discounts to designers and exhibitors, to ensure we had the best quality designers presenting on the catwalk. To build a brand you must understand that sacrifices are needed, and I strongly believed that my investment would pay off in the future and that I was also investing in myself and my brand’s image. I learned a lot after presenting the first season of Tiffany’s Red Carpet Week Fashion Show in 2015. In the exquisite ballroom at the 5-star Carlton Hotel in 2015. I had to continue

upgrading the level of all the fashion productions worldwide. I wanted to do something special for season 10 of the event in Paris. Therefore, I decided to present season 10 of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris, at the 5-star and renowned Ritz Paris Vendôme. The Ritz Hotel is home to legendary supermodels like Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford. Moreover, it is the venue where the world’s most famous fashion designers present their collections. The Ritz Hotel was undoubtedly the best decision for season 10 in Paris. It was one of my most successful and profitable events. People simply loved the name and brand image associated with the Ritz. We sold out the entire show and people were standing in every open space available. It proves that investing can produce high-quality results. By 2019, there were a lot of new fashion show productions in Paris. Some producers contacted me to help them, so they did not have to do the hard work themselves. They only wanted the image of Paris and instant success, as though I would just hand them 10 years of my life’s hard work and dedication. I walked every inch of that city and stayed strong throughout all of the trials and tribulations. Therefore, I felt like they needed to do the same. Not out of spite but out of respect! What good is accepting someone else’s contacts and success without ever knowing the feeling of how hard they worked to build their brand. This is the only way we can truly appreciate what we have to fight for and work hard for. Life was not offered to me on a silver platter; therefore, I was not going to offer it to others. I have a very generous disposition and I am a very unselfish person but I truly believe that you won’t fully succeed if you cut corners. Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris remained one of the first alternative international fashion shows during the official fashion week calendar in Paris. Our audience was loyal and anticipated each show with great enthusiasm. We had celebrity

guests, journalists, fashionistas, and Vogue Greece agreed to cover season 10 of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris. I am looking forward to 10 more great seasons of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris and many more events in Dubai, Cannes, as well as creating new events in Monaco and Milan, also Asia, and South America. However, Paris will always remain my favourite for productions and it is still the world’s most reputable and renowned fashion capital. I still have to pinch myself that I was able to achieve my childhood fashion dreams. And succeed in a market that is usually accommodating to celebrity designers and the wealthy. I was able to accomplish my goals in Paris because I fought hard and worked even harder. I created an opportunity for my fashion career and our international designers. I decided to become the market challenger in the fashion capital where the old and household brands were already prominent. However, one must endeavour to pave the way for the future generation of young fashion designers and fashion talents. It is impossible to monopolize a market or industry. After I created the Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris, we became one of the first alternative international fashion shows, hosting during the official Fashion Week in Paris. Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris has been seen by over 40 million viewers on Luxe TV, Fashion TV, and Getty Images. Also, in iconic fashion magazines like Vogue, Vanity Fair, W Magazine, Elle Magazine, Emma Mag France, and a host of international media. I look forward to the next 20 years and I hope you enjoy the book and all of its chapters.

It was more than a dream comes true to be interviewed and filmed by BET TV Network. It was always a childhood channel that I watched. It was one of the only international television channels that celebrated and foster music, art, and fashion by people of colour. It is the place where some of the music industry’s biggest household names in the R&B, Jazz, and Blues got their start. When I was a young girl, I often watched my favourite singers, musicians, and actors like Michael and Janet Jackson, Prince, Mariah Carey, Denzel Washington, Angela Bassett, and Nia Long on BET TV. Never would I have thought they would accept an interview with me nor find my Parisian Fashion Show Productions interesting. Thus, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I was living a childhood dream in front of the most iconic monument in the city where I studied and learnt French, La Belle Paris! After 7 years of working 24/7 and producing 4 international fashion shows annually. My ‘fashion baby’ Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks was finally starting to become noticeable.

I was nervous because I am a native English speaker, and the interview and documentary were being filmed in French. I was worried about my accent and if they would use French subtitles during my interview in French. However, BET TV had accepted to cover my show and our international designers in a special documentary about Paris Fashion Week and Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris.
IF YOU ARE TALENTED, DIFFERENT AND WORK HARD. THE RIGHT PEOPLE OR PERSON WILL NOTICE IT AND HELP YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY TO SUCCESS
The Manager of Yacht, Josephine, and the French Videographer and Photographer Christophe were also a great help. They motivated me and directed me with posing positions during filming. They were genuinely interested in my success and the success of the television documentary. Words cannot express my gratitude to Christophe and to BET TV, France for making this possible. The video was released a few weeks later, live on BET TV, France and International. I saw my segment and the interview in French and felt very relieved!! My accent was certainly prominent but I was fortunate not to have French subtitles below as my interview was in French. Viewers heard my Anglo-Saxon accent in French whilst I spoke. Merci beaucoup BET TV, France for showing your compassion and appreciation for non-native French speakers. They covered our international designers presenting at season 9 of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris at the 5-star Shangri-la Palace during Paris Fashion Week. I finally felt professionally accomplished after many sleepless nights.
It may take some time and many doors may be closed during your quest to accomplishing your dreams. But, eventually, your talent and hard work will be noticed by those whom you admire and aspire to be like. You will also inspire new generations to live their dreams and believe in the impossible if you are talented, different, and work hard. The right people or person will notice and help you on your journey to success. But never forget to help others and stay humble as we are only human, and tomorrow is not entitled to any of us. My philosophy is to work hard to accomplish your goals, help others, and love life as if there was no tomorrow.

success does not come without its downsides!! The Cannes Film Festival allowed me to expand into the realms of celebrity fortune and notoriety. The fashion show was filmed by the renowned global fashion channel Luxe.TV. It was featured in Vogue, Vanity Fair, and a host of international press and media. The concept of our event in Cannes was to always ensure high-quality shows. In addition, we offered guaranteed press and global exposure for each designer, exhibitor, and artist. Moreover, some of the world’s most influential people have been present at Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks. Hollywood celebrity actor and comedian Chris Tucker was present at the event in 2018. On the Boulevard de la Croisette, the stars and French Riviera elites shopped for red carpet gowns to wear at special gala events during the film festival. We also had opportunities for designers to sell their collections in Monaco and St. Tropez during the summer seasons. Our international designers had the opportunity to present at the fashion show and sell their collections during and after the events. Furthermore, each designer had a 2-page spread in Tiffany’s Fashion Week Magazine, which was created in 2016. Since then, the magazine has been read by over 100,000 readers across the world in digital and paper versions. In 2018, I met one of my childhood idols, Chris Tucker. The funny comedian/actor was at my fashion show in Cannes. It was more than a dream comes true; it was surrealistic

to a simple girl like me. A few days before the fashion show I had met a few actors from Canada and LA on the Boulevard de la Croisette and I invited them to the fashion show. They said that they were friends of Chris Tucker and that they would invite him to the fashion show. Of course, I never believed that he would really come! Surprisingly, he did and it was simply by God’s good grace and I was star struck! I almost fell on him as I served his glass of Perrier sparkling water. It was so funny because I almost ruined the best moment of my life! He declined any alcoholic beverages and said he just wanted to watch the show. I always dreamed of having well-known guests present at the events. I also organised and invested in my events and myself; to one day be able to experience this unforgettable moment of pride, joy, and accomplishment. Chris Tucker was very polite and he stayed about an hour at the event. He was very generous and friendly and he took photos with most of the guests. He did some live interviews on social media for our international audience to watch. He allowed a few of our journalists to interview him and of course, Getty Images were there to capture it all in photos. It was not just having an important person or celebrity at the event, it was the fact that they appreciated what you do and genuinely supported your brand without being paid thousands of dollars to be present. His appreciation for my fashion show and the compliments he gave us will be cherished forever. He asked me with a slight grimace, “is a petite woman like yourself producing such a wonderful fashion show at the Carlton?”

I told him, “yes” and that I had been producing fashion events at the Carlton since 2015 as well as shows in Paris, Dubai, and New York since 2013 with my marvellous team. He said, “that’s very impressive young lady!” I laughed! But inside, I was lit up like a garden filled with spring roses in full bloom. It was a great milestone for Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks. It was also a formidable accomplishment for me as a woman. Also, as one of the only female Fashion Show Producers on the global scene since the year 2000.
ONLY THE STRONG AND TENACIOUS SUCEED AND SURVIVE IN CANNES
I work in a field dominated by men and big fashion houses, who do not waste a moment thinking about what some newcomer has to say or present. In this industry, you must invest in your brand and prove your worthiness through creative art and fashion. One must invest in 5-star and well-known locations to attract that sort of clientele, yet you must still have something worthwhile. Fashion is fast-moving and during the Cannes Film Festival, there are a lot of events. The celebrities, media, and influencers have a full schedule during the eleven-day event. One must balance quality, effectiveness, and still manage to keep the audience and media’s attention amid red carpet galas and celebrity events hosted throughout the film festival.

It is amazing how one little twokilometre boulevard in Cannes joins an entire world of fashion, cinema, music, dance, art, and culture together. Making it possible for well-known celebrities and upcoming artists to cross one another by simply walking along the famous Croisette. You could meet celebrities at any moment, network with them, and make future collaborations. The Cannes Film Festival is the quintessential meaning of word of mouth marketing and being in the right place at the right time. There is also that old Hollywoodian feeling, that Brigitte Bardo feeling one has and experiences in Cannes, the place where the stars shine and the dreamers dream. Only the strong and tenacious succeed and survive in Cannes on a long-term basis. Cannes is very village-oriented, despite being a mega international cinema, fashion, music, and art capital. It is about longevity and loyalty amongst the locals and business partners, who have been working and doing business in Cannes since the creation of the Cannes Film Festival. I managed to penetrate this niche market and enter into the boundaries of this distinct environment of glamour, fame, art, and business. It is where global talents join and manifest their beauty, passion, and desires. The Cannes Film Festival has been one of the greatest experiences and opportunities of my life and career as a Fashion Designer and Fashion Show Producer. Each year, we yearn and envy with great anticipation the annual glamorous event. My goal is to continue to overcome

Dubai is known for its luxury shopping lifestyle and ultra-modern architecture. So, Dubai appeared to be the ideal place for the next chapter in my career. I have always been a fan of the UAE since I first visited Dubai in 2004, way before the infamous Burj Al Arab was constructed. I first became familiar with the Arabic culture and its people at the university I attended in London. The Arabic men were often sent to London to study Business Management to prepare them for when they would take over their fathers’ and families’ companies.
THE ARABIC CULTURE IS HARDWORKING WHO THRIVE TO GET AHEAD.
The Arabic culture is hard-working and they thrive on getting ahead. They live the life of luxury and are not afraid to show off. Students would often have their private chauffeurs drive them to university in luxurious sports cars that they owned. Our university was like a car show and a fashion show every day. The Arabic men and women at my university indulged in luxury and were very proud to do so. Born into a business-oriented family, they were brought up in a world of personal luxury. They hosted parties at the most expensive and exclusive locations in London to celebrate their birthdays and special

occasions like the end of Ramadan, many of which I had the privilege to attend. Even though I did not grow up in wealth, I previously spent some time as a model and had hung out with celebrities at times. Therefore, I was used to the rich and famous and I was able to blend in. We all became very good friends and I never treated them like royals, but just like everyone else. I think they enjoyed feeling that bit of normality. I found it fascinating as I learned about the Arabic way of life. Did you know that some of the men were sent to study in London because they had misbehaved, dishonoured, or brought shame to their native country? Who would ever think that being sent to an expensive, private university, in central London with an unlimited budget, was a punishment? My experience living and studying with this unique group of people prepared me for the cultural differences in the Arabic world. Thus, when I visited Dubai for the first time, I understood the culture very well as well as their business style. The Emiratis are generous people who honour their families. Their business mentality is very similar to that of the United States. Being the trailblazer and innovator is very important to them. Dubai is a very religious Muslim country and has many different values from my Christian religion and yet, in many ways, can be very similar. During my first visit to Dubai, it was still mostly desert and still developing. I had

visited during the summer months, which perhaps was not the best season to discover Dubai, as it was 40 Celsius (around 104 degrees Fahrenheit). I was not able to visit the entire city. I became ill due to the heat and spent most of my first visit inside until night-time when temperatures were a bit cooler. I would suggest it is better to visit Dubai between October and May for those who cannot handle the extreme desert heat. I returned to Dubai in 2016, more than 10 years after my first visit. Astonishingly, it had turned into New York and Shanghai on super wheels!! The Burj Al Arab was built, they had built the world’s largest mall, and the economy was booming after a recession in 2008. Everyone had businesses and the opportunities seemed endless. By this time, we were already working with top fashion designers from the UAE and the Arabic world. We built a reputation for being a luxury alternative fashion show in Paris during Fashion Week and our event in Cannes was developing too. My second visit to Dubai was a complete 360° to my first visit. A French gentleman I was seeing at the time was invited to work in Dubai. Due to his lack of English, I joined him there for a month to help with translations. During my time there, I fell in love with all the skyscrapers and 5-star service. It took me two weeks to discover the Dubai Mall, but my favourite places were the Dubai Marina and the Jumeirah area. Almost instantly, I could feel the birth of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Dubai. I started

looking for 5-star locations to host our first season. I discovered the 5-star St. Regis Habtoor Palace. I quickly phoned the hotel as I only had one week left in the city before returning to Paris. A meeting was set up for me to view the magnificent building. When I arrived, I was greeted by a very warm and friendly staff. They offered me tea and guided me to the ballroom and they insisted on carrying my bags. I had never experienced such a welcoming. Often in these meetings, you would feel the host thinking about how your event would benefit them and their business. It would feel like a job interview or a presentation with you pitching your ideas and statements as to why they should host your event. Producing the Dubai event was based on a complete package. Whereas, in Europe, you often hire a ballroom, which excluded food and services. In Dubai, the service was top-notch and they were proud to provide the best service to every client. They showed me the ballroom and we prepared the layout for the fashion show. Everything was super sized and fairytale-like. The meeting ran smoothly and effectively and it was a style of negotiation that I had never witnessed before. Though my relationship with the French gentleman did not continue, it was thanks to his invitation to Dubai that I was able to find my next location for a Tiffany’s Fashion Show production. We successfully held the first season of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Dubai in March 2017. We had designers from around the world presenting. The

All of our hard work paid off and the event quickly became known across the Gulf, the Middle East, and even back in Europe. Vanity Fair Magazine covered the event with supermodel Farah Zulaikha. It was a great experience and opportunity for all of us. I hosted season two of Tiffany’s Fashion Week Dubai the following year in 2018. We had His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum and his trusted aides present at the show. To this day, I am astounded that he would accept the invitation to a small international fashion show when compared to all the royal events he is invited to. When he entered the ballroom, I nearly fainted with joy and gratitude. I was like a deer surprised by a car’s headlights! He was so perfectly dressed, extremely elegant, and very pleasant to look at. His fingernails were very clean and manicured. I was certainly starstruck! He was the first member of a royal family that I had ever met.

The entire audience started to queue up to have their pictures taken with him. He was very gracious and kind. When it was my turn to take a picture, I was shocked and frightened! I did not know if I should smile or look serious and royal. However, the expression on my face in the picture speaks volumes. I looked stunned and scared! At the end of the show, his highness complimented me on my hard work. He was very grateful to see so many international designers presenting in Dubai. He thanked me for supporting the UAE’s fashion industry and tourism sector. We parted ways with him giving me his business card and he told me that if I ever needed anything in Dubai, personally or for the business, he would be there to help. He also said that he would be delighted to be present at any of my future events in the UAE or the Middle East. I was very proud and overwhelmed with joy. It was the greatest honour and recognition I had ever received for Tiffany’s Fashion Week. An honour and memory that I will cherish for a lifetime.

Tiffany McCall Couture, covered In Vogue, Brazil In 2017 Styled By Mickey Boom Fashion Stylist Based In New York The White Ostrich Feather Bolero Made In Paris, France In 2017. It was a dream come true to have my brand featured in Vogue Magazine. My collection was on display in a celebrity pop-up boutique in Manhattan, New York during the Christmas holidays in 2017. I contacted the organiser of the boutique to see if they were interested in displaying some of my internationals’ collections. I brought some beautiful creations to the US from our Paris boutique, the designers were from Dubai, Indian, Italy, France Qatar. The fashion stylist had a large variety of designers’ collections to select for the article in Vogue and he chose my little white bolero out of and some very talented designers. It was amazing to be chosen based on my talent.
YOU HAVE TO ALSO CREATE YOUR OPPORTUNITY
When the boutique owner called me and said the Mickey Boom Fashion Stylist to the stars selected your design for his Vogue article and that he needed my consent to shoot the bolero. I almost dropped the phone as I simply could not believe it. I had been representing so many International designers’ collections since the Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks Paris started and I selflessly put my brand aside to promote theirs. I mean that was my job as an event organiser for international designers. However, I always believed in my brand and its feminine style along with my signature French lace dresses. I managed to remain loyal to my design style over the years representing many designers. It is easy to be influenced by so many different design styles if you do not have a solid brand identity and brand values. My partner always told me to keep working hard and to never give up, because one day you will be featured in Vogue for your talent and not because I paid for it. My brand being chosen as a genuine design worthy of Vogue remains one of the greatest accomplishments of my life and career. I truly believe that you have to also create your opportunity and position your brand in the right place at the right time. Risk-taking and investment is very important for all brands no matter high large or small. Remember that most brands start as small domestic brands before becoming a globally recognised brand that makes a profit. It may take time and maybe years, but if you have a good product and you work hard it will be recognised and rewarded. The Vogue coverage of Tiffany McCall Couture Brand is dedicated to my late mother. The beautiful Peggy Elaine McCall and my late business partner and mentor David Herring.

New York - the big apple, bright lights, skyscrapers, and the ambiance that anything is possible. After finishing high school, I travelled to New York for a modelling job. Whilst I was there, I embarked on a hunt to find a small manufacturing company to produce my first collection. It was not easy. Many tailors shut their doors in my face. Who could blame them? They saw this young woman with a newly established brand, as a risk for any business. But I was a woman on a mission to create my first collection and to discover the legendary Garment District. Thinking back, I must have been a bit crazy and overtaken by enthusiasm. I was dreaming
of the big city lights and the hustle and bustle of the busy Garment District. My only thought was that soon my collection would be hanging in one of those storefronts. As I was crossing the corners of 38th Street and 8th Avenue, I saw an opened door with Garment Manufacturing written on the window. Once I arrived at the reception, the tall gentleman invited me to have a seat and asked me how he could help. I told him my entire story, how I am a Fashion Designer, and that I was looking for a company to help me produce my first professional collection to sell in my first boutique back in Atlanta, Georgia. I told him how I had knocked on 50 doors and they all told me that they only dealt with established brands and large companies.

He sniggered and asked me my age. He was shocked when I said I was 19. He stared at me for a few minutes and then asked me what the name of my brand was. I told him that it was called Tiffany McCall Couture and that it had been a childhood dream since the age of 12. I also told him that my aunt Brenda was a dressmaker and that she had made all of the wedding and bridesmaid’s dresses for weddings held in our family. He was intrigued and asked me to show him my designs and sketches. The first collection was a mixture of French lace, denim dresses, skirts, suits, and jackets. It was a very fun, flirty, feminine, and youthful collection. After looking over the entire collection he said that he would help me bring the designs to life. We then discussed prices and delivery dates. I couldn’t believe it. Someone was finally taking a chance on me. I was so happy and excited inside, like a kid in a chocolate factory. I am so glad I never gave up on my goal. The strength from my mother and the support of my business partner David Herring helped me pursue my dreams even though the disheartening times. They believed in me and sponsored my entire journey to New York. My business partner and Christian mentor believed in my creativity and ambition. He always told me that I was a young visionary with great audacity and photographic memory. I had a vision and got an opportunity at a young age, and it was fostered by the fatherly love from my business partner and mentor. Of course, my story is not the average one and I understand that. I had financial support from one of the greatest businessmen and leaders anyone could ask for. But it was my persistence to achieve my dream that allowed me to succeed. I walked every street in New York and I never gave up. It was my destiny, and I was not leaving the city without my collection being manufactured. By this point, we had already signed the contract for my first boutique in Atlanta, which opened in the Spring of 2000, and I needed inventory to sell!

I spent another week in New York side-by-side with my tailor and his team in the Garment District. Sewing all the samples and preparing the collection for my boutique’s grand opening. Just like the famous fashion designers. I learnt so much and Mahmoud was so generous. The objective for him was to work hard and to teach me how to produce a professional collection ready to sell in a retail boutique. He also motivated me to continue my career and to finish university. He told me that even though he respected my enthusiasm and astute business sense, it was also important to finish my fashion studies, to truly understand the history of fashion, and to master my craft. He explained that I needed to respect the designers who had paved the way for me and to appreciate all the hard work and sleepless nights. I took his advice and after successfully launching my collection in the USA, I was prepared to start university in London in 2002 as planned. I was accomplished and satisfied with my experience in Atlanta, with my boutique. I had the opportunity to dress celebrity models for music videos and I dressed one of the first video vixens for the 1999 Source Music Awards in California. It was the MTV awards for hip hop and entertainment back then. I hung out with every celebrity known in the business from 1998 to 2001. Fubu, Sean Jean, and Baby Phat were big back then. They used to present their collections at the WWD trade show in Las Vegas. I went to visit the booths to learn how it worked.
sponge, learning everything I could from them, listening to every word they said. I watched how they treated women and observed their every move. I learnt that beautiful women were recycled in the entertainment industry and that men evolved. I did not want to be another pretty face nor a celebrity baby’s mother like my other model friends. I wanted to be like them the leader, the designer, I wanted to hire people as they did and provide better opportunities to young and talented people, instead of shooting their dreams down. Being a model has its perks, like meeting celebrities and going to fancy parties. But a lot of them turned into caddy girls. This was not the life that I wanted for myself. I was making around 100,000 dollars a year as a young Fashion Designer with my boutique and business. I did not want to ruin my career before it even started. I also knew that I had to learn from the leaders in fashion in the European fashion industry. If I was going to succeed at being on their level, I needed to finish university as a fashion designer and international marketer and forget the model’s life. Therefore, I finished the last summer in Miami Beach before starting university in London. It was the wisest decision that I ever made and I thank my family and business partner for their support and mentoring.
I had personal access because I was friends with the most known model in the hip hop industry at the time. I also had sponsorship from my partner. I was able to promote my brand and market myself to be an international fashion designer.
I have no regrets about the past and how I learnt about the industry’s good, bad, and ugly. There were so many great moments and opportunities that paved the way for me to be the woman that I am today. I had privileged access, first-hand knowledge, and the opportunity to make a conscious decision about where I wanted to take my life. I chose education, God, and fashion.
I attended parties with all kinds of celebrities and listened to their stories about business. Although they thought that I was just a young model trying to be a fashion designer. But I was like a
I will always be forever grateful to my model friends, for the experiences, and great times we shared. But I wanted to experience and live the celebrity and glamour from a different light.

Réunion Island, mostly known for its volcanoes, rainforest landmarks, beaches, and amazing coral reefs. In 2018, our French Magazine partner Emma Mag contacted me and invited me to attend their annual fashion show as a VIP designer. I was beyond thrilled! It had been 6 years since I had displayed my collection at a fashion show. When I decided to become a fashion show producer, I began to focus most of my attention on helping international designers develop their brands. I loved what I did and it was what I was destined to become. I had helped so many fashion designers’ dreams come true. So, now, it was time for me to focus on my collections and being a designer again. WWW.TIFFANYSIDB.COM
I had never been to Southern Africa nor the Indian Ocean, and I had never re alised there was an overseas region of France. Everything was organised for me. I was offered a first-class flight on Air Austral and first-class service at the airport in Paris. It was a very long and expensive twelve-hour flight from Paris to Réunion Island. I met the director of the airline by chance at the Air France lounge in Paris as I waited for my departure. He had seen photos of me before, therefore he recognised. We had a glass of champagne together in the lounge and took some pictures, to send to the owner of the Magazine in Réunion Island. My hair was done in a curly Caribbean style and I packed Caribbean coloured outfits in my suitcase. It was time to board TIFFANY’S INTERNATIONAL FASHION STORY

the aircraft and the director accompanied me. He said that he could not let me out of his sight because the entire island was waiting for me and my fashion show, then he gave me a little smirk! The seat was very comfortable and spacious, the food was delicious, and the service impeccable. I slept like a baby for most of the twelve-hour flight. At the airport, a private driver was waiting for me, in a Mercedes with an Emma Magazine logo on it, to take me to my hotel. When I arrived at the hotel the entire team was waiting for me. A TV crew was also there to interview me before the show. The hotel was beautiful WWW.TIFFANYSIDB.COM
with panoramic sea views of the island, but you would not expect anything less from a 5-star hotel with great service and attention to detail. After the TV interview with reporters and journalists, we went to select some diamond jewellery from an official Chopard distributor that would complement my collection on the catwalk. I was overwhelmed by the selection of diamond necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. We chose ten lovely accessories to accompany the French-lace dress collection. I was also allowed to choose some jewellery for myself. I had never worn so many real diamonds in my life.

I decided to wear an exquisite sapphire diamond set, as sapphire is my birthstone. We arrived at the studio and the models were all present and ready for the fittings. They were so very beautiful and there were a variety of skin tones to suit each dress. They all had small waists, curvy silhouettes, and long beautiful hair. You could see the African ethnicity in their culture. They had Indian structured faces with African bodies. Even the youngest models had full figures and authentic forms. Producing fashion shows in Europe, I had become used to stereotype models. It was such a pleasant surprise to see beautiful models of great height. I showed them the coordination that I would like on the catwalk and they mastered it seamlessly. Beautiful women, fast learners, and free spirits! It is not surprising that many of them have become Miss France. I titled the collection ‘Island Girls’ to give honour to the island. And to show my appreciation, I created dresses that were inspired by the flowers and the waterfalls of the island. The next day, we organised the photoshoot for the cover of Emma Mag with Miss Universe 2018 of Mauritius Island at the exotic Niagara Waterfall. It was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen. Like a fairy tale, there were flowing streams of water falling from the mountains and active volcanoes. I recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and friendly, beautiful people. I visited the neighbouring city Saint Gilles, which is also surrounded by the Indian Ocean and white sandy beaches. I went to a few famous restaurants and tried the local food. It was all quite delicious. The day before my return to Paris, Emma Mag organised a helicopter

tour of the island with Helilagon. I had never flown in a helicopter before. I was excited and petrified! The views were spectacular! We were literally flying thousands of kilometres above the island. It was one of the greatest moments in my life that I will never forget and shall certainly do again! I have been working with Emma Mag since my Cannes show in 2015, However, with this experience, I honestly felt they highly appreciated my hard work in Paris and internationally. They have been covering and supporting Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks and our international designers ever since. Each season, they bring models from Réunion Island to model at my events in Paris. We also sponsor designers from Réunion Island. To help them present their collections on the Parisian catwalk. After my life-changing experience at Réunion Island, I was obliged to return the favour to help the local models and designers. Paris Fashion Week remains a European market for European models and international designers. I wanted to use my global platform to add some colour and ethnicity to the events. I wanted to show that beauty and talent come in all shades and colours. I also enjoy creating opportunities and change, where it is needed and when it is possible. Education breaks the barrier of all walls and creates equality for us all. I look forward to returning to the island and exploring more of its natural resources and working with the beautiful models and talented fashion designers.

s known for its exotic landscapes, colourful carnivals, amazing costumes, and exuberant people. I had been invited to the renowned global fashion trade show as a Fashion Buyer to discover new fashion styles to sell at our boutique in Paris and to scout new talent from Brazil for our fashion shows worldwide. I would like to firstly give special thanks to the organiser, Andrea Ferrari of Sao Paulo, a consultant for Abit - the Brazilian Association of the Textile and Apparel Industry. Her job is to discover international buyers, media, and influencers to support Brazil’s new and established designers during Minas Trend Brazil. In collaboration with TEXBRASIL and Apex-Brazil, Government partners support Brazil’s Fashion and Textile Industry. I was honoured to be chosen by such a panel of professionals. The boutique was beautifully and elegantly designed. All the collections were designed and made by a local Brazilian seamstress. The sales representatives were very kind and so helpful in showing me the new collection. Of course, I fell in love with the entire collection. I decided to buy a red floral silk ruffle Spanish flamenco-inspired evening dress that I wore to the 4th Edition of Tiffany’s Red Carpet Week Cannes in May 2019. WWW.TIFFANYSIDB.COM
My objective when attending the boutique was to purchase one of the designs and establish the Brazilian talent at my show. I also wanted to show my appreciation to Abit and Texbrasil for inviting me and sponsoring my travel. I felt the red floral Spanish flamencoinspired dress was the most suitable dress to host Tiffany’s Red Carpet Week Cannes Fashion Show. To represent the Patricia Bonaldi brand discovered in Brazil and our international designers in the most professional, prestigious and diplomatic manner. I made the right decision and I received a lot of compliments. Wearing the dress, I felt the most confident and positive version of myself that I have not felt for a while. I believe this played a great role in the success of the show. I cannot wait for the designers to present their new collection at our 2021 and 2022 events. The business trip consisted of longscheduled days, from 9:30 in the morning and finished at midnight and was only a 4-day event. We had evening gatherings and dinners in local Brazilian restaurants. It was truly a divine and culturallyunique experience. Since Brazilians don’t speak much English, I had to have a translator with me, however, when I told them I spoke fluent French they all
preferred to speak to me in French. Even though they were not fluent in the French language, they preferred to speak basic French instead of English, as French and Latin languages are preferred in Brazil. Over the years, I have learnt that English speakers should be openminded to learning a second language, enabling us to become more cultured and tolerant to speaking other global languages. I was later given an opportunity to go to Rio de Janeiro to model for a delightful photo shoot for the Poca Brazilian Beachwear, a swimwear brand that I had discovered at Minas Trend. I modelled three swimsuits at a perfect location in Ipanema with the Brazilian Photographer Raphael Braga. Whilst I was in Brazil, I managed to discover Copacabana and the chic district Ipanema in southern Rio de Janeiro. I loved the sandy white beaches, architecture, restaurants, and fashion boutiques. Not to mention its beauty, culture, and the nonstop serving of their traditional Brazilian drink, Caipirinha. It was one of the best business, travel, and personal experiences of my life and we successfully joined established Brazilian designers with Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks and Tiffany’s International Designer’s Boutiques worldwide. My Parisian friend and I were dining at the celebrity restaurant in the VIP lounge. We saw these lovely, long, and elegant silhouettes walking towards our area to be seated. We were quickly mesmerised by their marvellous beauty. One of them had a familiar face that neither of us could pinpoint. Of course, we did not want to disturb them, nor be impolite during their meal. As the evening went on after we all had finished our meals, we naturally conversed together. We thought they must have been models and asked whether they would be interested in modelling at my next fashion show in Paris. They viewed my collection, which they loved and accepted my offer. We exchanged social media pages so we could remain in touch. We took photos of all of us and said our goodbyes. However, it was not until later that we had discovered that they were famous and that one of the ladies was Kaia, the daughter of Cindy Crawford. It was a real eye-opener and a pleasant surprise to have met Kaia Gerber. The legendary supermodel Cindy Crawford’s daughter and we are anxiously waiting to see her model on our catwalks very soon.

SPICE GIRLS WERE ALL THE RAVE
“The good old days” and where it all started. The beginning of the internet and technology boom in 2000. The Spice Girls were all the rave as well! I also like to call it the roaring 2000s, before the world knew recessions and global viruses, at least of my generation. Innovation and great technology were being created daily and the world economy was thriving. It was the right place to be at the right time. I count my blessings every day that I have experienced such a decade. Words cannot explain the appreciation and gratitude I have for my British education and the support from family and friends during my 10 years in London, England. I was a young woman starting my career in one of the world’s most famous and renowned fashion cities. London Fashion Week allowed me to develop and identify what type of designer I wanted to be. I vividly remember my first day at university on one of the most sought-after high streets in London, England; the chic, elegant, and sassy Marylebone High Street. I started my first semester staying at an all-girls private housing on the trendy Weymouth Street in W1 London. Home to the world’s most exclusive celebrity figures and plastic surgeons!! just down the road and we were lucky to see her sometimes. Living with six international young artistic women was quite challenging and rewarding. My first semester I shared a suite room with Elisa, who became my dearest university friend. She helped make my experience refreshing and happy. I had roommates from Egypt, Dubai, Greece, Germany, Japan Qatar and the USA. Our flat was an international melting pot. There was always laughter, creativity, and drama. Our Germany roommate always walked around in the nude, we were all shocked at the beginning but she then explained it was Germany culture, to this day I still believe this is the case for some but not all of them. Then there was the gorgeous Egyptian princess the youngest amongst the girls. I mean literally a teenager, already studying at university and had known her destiny at a tender young age. Of course, I quickly bonded with her as she admired me and I saw myself in her. I had also started as a teenager taking my first Clothing Design course when I was just 15 years old in the Untied States. I became like her big sister in the house, we shopped at the finest places and dined at the top 5 star restaurants in London one

being her father’s Egyptian restaurant on St. James Street. She shared a lot of her glitzy Arabian world with me. She even taught me how to belly dance Egyptian style. She smoked Yves Saint Laurent cigarettes for fun. Hell! I did not even know they existed. My 6 months stay at the Hampden House, 11 Weymouth Street was the best experience a young fashion student could ask for. However, the second semester was approaching, and I wanted to focus more on my studies as the first fashion show had to be organised. I needed personal space to set up my studio and master my craft. I had an amazing stroke of luck and found a flat next to the school attached to the reception building. I went from a 10-minute walk to a 2-minute walk to university. My studio was newly renovated and very well equipped. It was the perfect location for a young university girl. Our semesters were quite intense as we had a lot to learn in a short time. The Fashion Design degree consisted of fashion shows of international designers’ collections every season. Thus, every three months, we created and presented new collections for each garment style. We designed womenswear, menswear, eveningwear, childrenswear, millinery, knitting, and swimwear. We had brilliant and well-known fashion industry teachers, illustrators, fine arts teachers, and history teachers. The Fashion Design degree included compulsory subjects, accounting/finance, mathematics, ecology, sociology of dress, and human behaviour. I also studied Spanish as a second language for two semesters at university.

Every day was an adventure and a discovery. My teachers had worked for a host of celebrity fashion houses before they taught at our university. They were our inspiration. But I, of course, wanted to create my own fashion house! I was ready for any university fashion task and challenge. We learnt about fashion show production and fashion marketing d aily. We wrote business plans and created trend-forecasting fashion mood boards. We had to forecast future colours, fabrics, and silhouettes. Fashion has always been one to two seasons in advance. An average fashion calendar year, for example, is like this- Spring/Summer 2022 collections would be presented in September 2021, and Autumn/Winter 20212022 would be presented in March 2021. We were always trendsetting and anticipating the future of fashion and luxury. To foster this foresight that all fashion students needed, we visited trends shows in London. We participated in lunchtime talks and presentations from prominent fashion designers, writers, entrepreneurs, and London’s Fashion Council. We often took excursions to Paris to Première Vision, which is a French and European trend forecasting show attended by industry professionals and top fashion houses during the 5-day event. However, organisers allowed fashion students to visit on the last day of the fair. We could visit the showrooms and participate in meetings. We could even buy fabrics, to help us prepare for our final senior collection. This was the final moment, the end of your fashion studies after having to study and learn for ten hours a day, five days a week, and some weekends, for five years.

Knowing that my senior show was approaching during the summer of 2007, I took advantage of sourcing my fabrics at Première Vision, where I first discovered French lace. It was like instant love. The soft texture, the handmade lace, the rare and luxurious quality of each thread and yarn. It is a century-old technique of making lace because you need very special lace weaving machinery. There are only a few of these around today and most of them can only be found in lace factories in England, Italy and France. I wanted to create evening dresses made from the most exquisite fabrics and the best quality, so that women would feel inspired, empowered, and confident when they wore the Tiffany McCall Couture Brand. Thus, the Tiffany McCall Couture Brand was born. I felt confident and comfortable, and ready to start my senior collection. At Première Vision trade show, it was like being in a fashion heaven and hand-embroidered lace fabrics of every colour imaginable were presented. Prices started from 40 euros a metre to the most extravagant fabrics that went up to 300 euros a metre. There was something for each designer and artist to choose from. I spent three hours there as I had found my paradise of fashion. I also discovered that French lace suited my senior collection’s theme, which was titled, ‘What Makes a Powerful Woman’. My senior collection was a great success and I was offered a job as Assistant Manager of the chic fashion boutique Crave, which was in Chelsea, London, where I worked for two years. After only 6 months as Assistant Manager, I was offered the job of Head Manager. It was a wonderful part of my life. I was living my childhood dream. This experience laid the foundation for the fashion designer and businesswoman I am today. I will always be grateful to my first manager for her support, advice, and generous personality.

TIFFANY’S INTERNATIONAL FASHION STORY
My sleepless nights and hard work started to pay off. I am and always will be grateful to the entire city of London, my university, the fashion teachers, and the companies that allowed me to study and work in one of the most famous fashion cities in the world. British education is highly regarded and makes a great difference to headhunters. Also to international companies looking to hire candidates to work in the fashion industry worldwide. Please read carefully!! Aspiring designers, models, or anyone looking to study or work, in the very competitive and sometimes cut-throat fashion industry; my advice is to always believe in yourself and work hard to accomplish your goals. Do not cut corners by looking for instant success without putting in the hard work. If you are not dead tired each day because of your nonstop work, then you are not working hard enough nor wisely enough at advancing your career to accomplish your dreams. Do not blame others for your lack of work ethic or your unwillingness to make sacrifices to succeed. As a university student, this sometimes means, cancelling weekend parties and events. It means that you have to be prepared to start working or studying from early morning and often until dawn. Only the strong and wise survive in the fashion industry. Of course, we all need a bit of luck and recognition for our hard work and efforts. It is only human nature to need support from others, no one was created in this world alone. However, we must not forget to give before we receive. We have to be willing to help others and share our knowledge and not receive anything in return. Remember to remain loyal to your craft, stay mentally and physically active, and fashionably fabulous!

hope you have enjoyed this journey of a small-town girl who had the opportunity to live her childhood dreams and succeed in the international fashion industry. Writing about one’s life and career is no easy task, but it has been a blessing. Despite the trials, tribulations, the struggles and triumphs of these last 20 years, this remains the story of an American-girl born in Mobile, Alabama, educated in London, England, that dared to take on the global fashion industry. This girl not only became an international fashion designer but an estemeed fashion show producer as well, an achievement that is often reserved for those without a humble Christian upbringing. To all the freshman who are striving to take on this very same challenge, remember that dreams do come true. If we work hard enough, we can overcome all obstacles and break all barriers. Never forget that the key to success is education and the gifts passed down by our forebears through generations. My advice to any aspiring fashion student, fashion model, fashion journalist, makeup artist, musician, photographer, videographer, or anyone else within the entertainment and fashion industry is to study the art of your field. Invest in the history, and learn about the original founders. Do not settle for a social media page, and do not seek instant success or gratification. To be considered among those who have made an impact in the world, one

must work hard, understand one’s sector and master it! I look forward to sharing my next decade of my career with you all in the sequel and why not a short film about this book on Netfilx to share with you all. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read and purchase my autobiography. May God bless you all. May you never forget to live life, as none of us are entitled to tomorrow. Remember to love and voice your love to those who are precious to you and dearest to your heart. Life is unpredictable, but it is as beautiful as a priceless diamond. You must take advantage of any opportunity to lead a better life and never forget to help others. This book is dedicated to my late mother, Peggy Elaine McCall, David Herring, the former CFO of the Tiffany McCall Couture brand, founded in 2000 and to my late nephew, Antonio Rowe. A portion of all book sales will go to the Antonio Rowe Foundation, which helps underprivileged and misunderstood young men to overcome the obstacles in their lives and achieve their dreams. God bless and Bisous. Tiffany McCall, founder of the Tiffany McCall Couture brand since 2000 and Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks Worldwide since 2013.

The Antonio Rowe Foundation was created by his beloved aunt, Tiffany McCall. Antonio lost his life on December 6th, 2020, one week before his 27th birthday. He was a victim of senseless gun violence and black-on-black crime. Tiffany promised her nephew a trip to the South of France after the Covid-19 pandemic, to study French, Italian, or Spanish for one month to help him discover a new culture and new opportunities. He was a very talented and creative artist and rapper. He went to a Catholic school as a teenager and had a bright future. He had also just become a father to Armani Rowe and her mother, Tia Bryant, was planning to start a new life with Antonio. Sadly, he can no longer take this journey abroad to have this new opportunity in life and education. Therefore, Tiffany wanted to keep her promise and Antonio’s dream alive by creating the Antonio Rowe Foundation to help young boys discover a new language, be fostered by mentors through education, and by helping them start careers. Moreover, to have an opportunity to change their environment and, simply, to live a better life. Tiffany McCall is an English Teacher and Fashion Show Producer in France and around the world. She has had the opportunity to live her childhood dreams thanks to God and help from others. Tiffany would simply like to help underprivileged young boys and the voiceless fight against violence and open
new paths to success and better lives through education and travel. We will nominate and select a young boy from the United States to travel to France for two weeks to emerge in French, Italian, or Spanish. The entire trip and studies will be sponsored by the Antonio Rowe Foundation and the Tiffany McCall Couture Brand along with Tiffany’s Fashion Weeks worldwide. His ‘Go Fund Me’ account is to gather additional support and raise awareness of education, culture, and s ocial togetherness. Also, to promote anti-violence in black communities and spread peace and love whilst helping voiceless young boys discover new opportunities and travel the world, to broaden their horizons, and create a new generation of educated people, who will also have the opportunity to help others succeed. The Antonio Rowe Foundation accepts and appreciates any amount of support. We will announce the selected young man in April 2021, and the study abroad program will take place in August 2021, in the South of France and will continue each year, helping one voiceless person at a time. Visit our website for more information on how to nominate someone in need and for more information about the Antonio Rowe Foundation. Let us spread love and peace whilst educating our youth and providing them with opportunities for a better life and career.
