The site for this Year 2 Sem 2 project is located in No.30 Jalan Tamim, Bandung, Indonesia. Jalan Tamim was once a residential area for the rich besides being the first factory outlet district in Bandung, however it has became a wholesale textile street nowadays due to the lack of facilities, happening activities and spaces in the area. Located in the area of Pasar Baru, Jalan Tamim is considered to be a less happening and popular street compared to the others in the area providing nothing else other than textile wholesaling and the lack of public facilities.

The overall idea is to convert Jalan Tamim into a place of interest in the Pasar Baru area, providing a place for the youngsters and elderly to hang out and chit chat during day and night time since currently most of the community spend a whole day there just waiting for customers or the loading of new textile products, doing nothing else. People can also lear n about the history of Jalan Tamim besides getting to know different kinds of textile that can be discovered there and their place of origin from all over Indonesia. This also helps to create a platfor m for the young generation of Bandung to escape the perception of illiterate by providing them a place to read, discuss and think more about life and the world outside Bandung.
