Tradition LIVES HERE For over 100 years many legends have passed through the majestic oaks and arches of LSU. They are the ones whose sweat and hard work built the foundation on which today’s athletic program stands. Without the century of legends that have come before, LSU would not be ranked consistently among elite programs in the country. Like the Tiger Legends of yesteryear whose impact continues through generations, joining the Legends Society extends the impact of your gift beyond your lifetime. Will you consider leaving your legacy to Tiger Athletic Foundation...so future generations of LSU student-athletes will have the same experiences as the legends who came before? BECOME A MEMBER
GIFTS FOR CURRENT USE Outright Gift • Makes an impact now • Observe your gift in use during your lifetime • Current income tax charitable deduction Charitable Lead Trust The donor gives assets to a trust that pays TAF set payments for a number of years, designated by the donor. The longer the length of time, the better the gift tax savings. When the term is up, the remaining trust assets go back to the donor, TAF, family or other designated beneficiaries. This is an excellent way to transfer property to family members at a minimal cost. • Gift and estate tax savings • Freezes taxable value of appreciating assets before they pass to beneficiaries GIFTS PROVIDING INCOME TO YOU DURING YOUR LIFETIME Charitable Gift Annuity Simple contract between the donor and TAF where the donor makes a gift to Tiger Athletic Foundation and in return, TAF agrees to pay the donor or the donor’s designee a fixed amount each year for the rest of your life. • Current income tax charitable deduction • Estate tax savings • Capital gains tax savings • Fixed lifetime payments to you or someone you choose
Notify the Tiger Athletic Foundation Planned Giving Office of your desire to create a planned gift of any amount, or complete and send in the attached information form.
