Tiger Athletic Foundation’s Ben Ross Promoted to Vice President BATON ROUGE, LA- (October 30, 2017) – Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) announced Ben Ross as its Vice President of Development. The promotion comes after Ross served as Executive Director of Development for TAF. An LSU alumnus and native of Marshall, Texas, Ross began his career in athletic fundraising with the University of Oklahoma Sooner Club where he managed the annual fund. He was recruited by TAF in 2006 to re-vamp the Foundation of Champions Scholarship Fund, and has helped the program grow to almost $16 million. Ross has played a role in fundraising $85,000,000 for major construction projects and programs benefiting LSU student-athletes. These projects include the new Alex Box Stadium, the University Club Golf Course Renovations, the LSU Basketball Practice Facility, the Preservation of Tiger Stadium project, the LSU indoor Tennis Facility, the LSU Gymnastics Training Facility, the LSU Football Operations Training Facility, the Nutrition Center for Student-Athletes, and the South end zone expansion of Tiger Stadium. “I’m honored to continue serving TAF in our mission to provide the best experiences for LSU student-athletes while they are on LSU’s campus. What we do every day helps prepare these young people for life after sport and I couldn’t be more excited to continue leading these efforts at a place that is so special to me and my family,” said Ross. Ross is charged with completing fundraising for two upcoming projects – the renovations to the LSU Football Operations Facility and upgrades to Alex Box Stadium’s player facilities. Additionally, he will oversee major gift fundraising, the Team TAF annual giving program, planned giving, and donor relations.
