WHAT IS FOLD FRIENDLY RINGING? Careful positioning of the rod guides allows the rod to be neatly and evenly folded with added protective benefits. This is far better for storage and transport plus it gives added protection to the tip ring, the line that rolls over it and the thinnest and most vulnerable part of the tip. WHEN THE GUIDES ARE WOUND ‘RING TO RING’ IT HAS THESE ADVANTAGES:
ROD FOLDS ‘RING TO RING’ The two sections are at near equal levels and the rod can be easily stored in a rod holdall or sleeve.
• M ore convenient and safer in storage and transport. • N o need to have loose main line to level the two rod sections. • J ust the one rod strap/ band is required at the butt end.
HOOKED SAFELY Retaining the hook in the leg of the bottom guide on the tip keeps it close to the blank reducing the chances of it catching onto something.
• T he tip guide is held about 2cm above the butt cap keeping it and the line rolling over it out of harm’s way.
CLEARANCE
TIP RING PROTECTION Tip ring has about 2cm clearance from butt cap, reducing the chance of damage to the tip ring and the line that rolls over the tip ring.
